What do you always plan to do but never accomplish?

For us it's Tom Sawyer Island. Every trip we say we will go over there and relax for a little bit and let the kids play and we've never gotten there! We always end up staying on the rides, meeting the characters and eating snacks! LOL

Anything your family always plans on doing but never does?

Lol. Took us 4 trips before we finally made it over there!! I always planned a non park day. Monorail. Snack/eat at monorail resorts. Take boats around. WL. Monorail over to Epcot without getting off.

Just in general, it's to 'keep to the plan'. I always have an extensive itinerary for my 10-15 day vacations, and usually somewhere along the middle of that journey, I start to get kinda exhausted and start scaling back. It's hard to hit the park every day from sun-up to sun down for 2 straight weeks without something giving.

Of course, I could just schedule down days, like so many recommend here, but when I'm planning, in my head, those always seem like such a wasteful thing to do, but then I end up having to kind of do that anyways!

I was going to say Tom Sawyer's Island too! And Liberty Sq Riverboat. And Country Bears Jamboree.
We did Swiss Family Treehouse and Enchanted Tiki Room last time so can cross those off the list!

One more thing. It was always on our to do list to really check out CSR. We've eaten at the QS but want to really walk that lake loop. Just to see for ourselved how big that place is and if we would really like the resort "feeling". We have booked CSR many times. But always chickened out and switched.

Nothing! We don't make a lot of plans, but always do whatever we enjoy the most. Are usually there 10 nights, so we don't miss anything we want to do. I hate going by plans/schedules. Enough of that in everyday life. Enjoy relaxing at Disney - that's not to say we don't stay on the move though - just wing it! :goodvibes

Disney Springs. We always plan an evening there, but something always causes the plan to fail. On our last trip, I came down with a stomach bug. The trip before that, we got stuck in a downpour at DHS and were soaked through. *sigh* Maybe in June we'll get there!

The Plaza! We always say we are going to eat there and both times we have tried the wait was longer than our hungry kids wanted to wait so we keep missing out on it!

The Chinese acrobats. I've had them in the plan 3 years now and I've only caught 5 mins of their show.

Ellen's energy adventure also but I'm fairly meh on that. I think there is (or used to be) a dinosaur on that that DS4 would probably have liked but we probably missed the window on that so I'm not sure anyone will get much out of it. ;)

*sigh*. We have lots of things we keep meaning to do when in WDW, but somehow we always miss:

Tom Sawyer Island
Enchanted Tiki room
The Plaza
Liberty Square Riverboat
Riding the train around MK
Flights of Wonder
Going out to the veterinarian area at AK
The Figment ride
The boat ride in the Mexican pavilion area at Epcot
Cinderella's Royal Table (I don't think I'll ever eat there...I can't convince my boys!)
Watching Illuminations at Epcot
Basically any shows...my boys are not interested in sitting for a show when they could be riding rides

Wow...this list could go on and on! I didn't realize...I guess I better figure out how to do some of these things when we go in June!

Tom Sawyer, River Boat and Flights of Wonder. Going in Sept with just the wife so this is probably are best chance. :)

We made it to Tom Sawyer this year and it's actually a pretty fun place for kids. Mine are 4, 7, and 8 and they enjoyed the barrel bridge, fort, and various caves and secret passages. I think it's more worth a trip with kids than without.

Believe it or not...park hop. We always plan on it ahead of time, and haven't done it once! Even before AP when we'd pay extra for PH's o_O It sounds fun on paper, but we always change our minds.

Going back in a couple weeks and same deal on starting out with hopping plans...nope, now just added a day instead. We're lazy night owls that tend to arrive later and close places down. Guess we're ultimately too lazy for the effort

Fantasmic, I've never set foot in DHS after dark. This year I'm definitely doing it, planning to hop over to avoid evening F&W crowds in October.
