We just finished our first trip as a family on Saturday

My husband, who is notoriously grouchy LOVED WDW so much that he suggested we do our 10th anniversary trip there next year sans kids, deluxe on property accommodations etc... I can't wait. Now I just have to decide on the resort. AKL is on the top of my list! I can't wait to read through this

Hooray!!! I hope you choose AKL, it offers so much to do just at the resort that it makes a great getaway all on its own!

We stayed offsite at the Holiday Inn at Disney Springs(on credit card reward points). I was very impressed with the quality! It was really nice and clean.

I called to request bunk beds and did not put anything for online check in requests. So I was expecting a Standard View room with bunk beds but we actually got a Savannah View room with bunks last month (May 2017). It was awesome.

According to the Touring Plans room finder, there are 1 or 2 (can't remember) bunk bed standard view rooms. I would put in the request for bunks and hope for the best. Good luck!

Yes they do. I would word your request "Partial Savannah View".

We are just home and had an awesome view. I booked standard and faxed a room request asking for a partial savannah view. We were on the Ostrich Trail and saw zebras, giraffe and these little white deer things (can't remember their name) every day. It was awesome. That said, now that we've stayed there, I'd pay for the upgrade to savannah view for next time. It is so amazing.

Hi everyone! We stayed at AKL 2 years ago in a Standard room with Bunk Beds, I know they have them..has anyone done this recently? I am attempting to make a room request in hopes that I'll get pixie dusted. I cannot remember our room number from 2 years ago. TIA!

Just got back. I booked a standard and we were in Ostrich 4132. Bunk beds and a view.

Jambo, everyone! My husband and I are celebrating our first anniversary with a stay at AKL - Jambo House in January 2018! From looking at the Room Finder tool on TouringPlans, it doesn't necessarily look like there are any BAD views from any of the standard view deluxe studios at Jambo House. Am I wrong? We would be happy with either a pool view or an obstructed savanna view room. Let us know how we can request the best room!
