No. Technically you need to spend your last dollar of the min spend prior to Jan 19th in your case, the key being, that the bonus points hit your RR account in 2018 to maximize the value of the CP. So in order to do this, you need to make sure you don't make your min spend until after your December statement closes (11th and 25th) and before your MSR date of Jan 19th. Out of an abundance of caution and because there is a ridiculous data point out there where Chase allegedly awarded the bonus points early, I'm advising that you try to time meeting your min spend sometime toward the end of December or very early January so that your transactions will post and provide enough time for Chase to award the bonus prior to your Jan 11th closing date but not early enough in case Chase decides to award your bonus early (I find highly unlikely that will happen, but just being cautious).Whatever you do, don't hit the Min spend until after your December closing dates for each card.
The advantage is that you'll have all 120K points and the CP on the 12th (a day after your statement closes) versus waiting for 60K until the 25th. This also makes things easier in that both cards close at the same time. Technically, if you don't have any flights planned for Jan/Feb, than you can leave your closing dates the way they are. Just make sure to hit the min spend prior to Jan 19 on that card that closes on the 25th. I hope I've explained it clearly.
