Hurricane Irma scared us away from September, so we need a new time of year to travel to WDW. What's your favorite week to go??

The second going into the third week of December.
Low crowds, great weather,, lityle rainfall, Gorgeous Christmas decorations, MVMCP, Candlelight Processional, Minnie's Dine in HS, the countries in Epcot with Christmas specials.
This year that week would be the 9th - 17th.
The first weekend isn't too crazy busy, but the second weekend starts the Holiday craziness. We usually arrive on a Friday, and leave the following Saturday or Sunday. That way we can partake in the Sunday brunch at Cali Grill and come back for the fireworks that night our first w/e there.
Anyway that's our favorite week...

May is good - we plan to do it next time we go.

But...we always travel in October during Hurricane season, be it Disney, a cruise, the US Virgin Islands. Sadly this year was a direct hit...but I still will travel to those places I still can in October. Many years where NOTHING happened. :)

If it's hurricanes you want to avoid, come outside hurricane season which runs from June 1 to November 30th. Early December is nice as the decorations are out but it's not as crazy as Thanksgiving and Christmas. January and February are nice too unless you really want to swim as it can be hit or miss.

There is no good time to go anymore. You just have to plan your dates and go for it. Travel Insurance is a wonderful thing. Check for events, know the weather you'll endure and plan away. There's always going to be something that will stand in the way of a "perfect" trip, be it ride closures, weather, events, special events, etc...

We think the two best-weather months are March and November.

March is Spring Break, so it is crowded, but the grandkids don't miss any school that way.

November is much cheaper and less crowded (excluding Thanksgiving week, of course), so.... if you don't have a problem with kids missing school, that's the month to go!

No kids so that's something to consider!

Labor Day week - very low crowds since the kiddos are mostly all back in school. Weather is still hot and it's hurricane season, but for us low crowds are the most important.

We enjoy July. Lower crowds and prices than in fall or spring, and the heat allows us to really enjoy the resort pools and water parks. No missed school, and summer naturally has a carefree feel that somehow suits a trip to Disney World. The weather doesn't scare us off as we're central Texans, so summer temps at home are higher than in Orlando.

OP said they don't want September, but can see how asking for your favorite week would lead to the response.

We liked January, although I will agree September too (even if it is still stinkin' hot, in September that is).

If my work schedule permitted we’d go the second week of December every year.

The weather is better for us as were from the Great White North and we absolutely love the Christmas ambience in WDW. For now we go the first two weeks of November and it’s pretty great too but we miss out on the FULL Christmas experience such completely decorated resorts/parks or the Holiday Storytellers in EPCOT.

We don't mind the heat so we love going mid to late August. Way lower crowds. If you can't stand the heat though I wouldn't go then. But for us it's worth it! We never have any trouble getting ADR's or FP's. It's a great time to go!

I second this. We went late August this year and thought it was great. The heat can be oppressive and crowds a little high; however, everything is still running at 'peak capacity'. By this I mean, rides are still running at full capacity, registers are all open as restaurants, ect.

Yep, I saw that in the OP, but it is still my favorite week to go so thought it was worth noting the reasons. We've tried January and it was pretty chilly actually and still more crowded when we went. We've also tried late Feb/early March and that was nice since we caught the beginning of the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival, but once again it was more crowded. For us, getting so much more accomplished in a day due to low crowds and just having a better experience with not having to dodge people left and right made our trip this past Labor Day week the best we've ever had.

Mid April.

Nicer weather, Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot still happening, but the Spring Break crowds have left.

It is always busy and really there is no more off season with crowd levels.

We’ve done every season and have ruled a few out for us; January can be too cold. August too hot (for my wife, son and I loved it). September too wet.

Early December has been good for reasons mentioned in other posts here but I think our best trips have been late April-early May. Moderate crowds. Reliably good weather.

My favorite weeks are the week after Thanksgiving and early May. I've never been impacted by Pop Warner in December, but I don't stay at value resorts which makes a difference.
