OFFICIAL CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY SEASON & NEW YEAR'S 2017 THREAD

Thanks for adding the kids price, I forgot to include that. The premium tea for $65 is only available to adults, as it adds a cocktail and salad.
No problem. My girls are so excited for the tea. Especially the mickey shaped sandwiches, lol.

I
So excited....I got a Christmas Eve dinner reservation at Steakhouse 55 and I am surprising my Mom with the Frozen dining package on Christmas Day...our reservation is for noon and I am looking forward to dining at Carthay Circle...these are the only 2 things I have booked for our trip as I don't want to overwhelm my Mom who is a senior and almost blind...her wish was to "see" Disneyland decorated for Christmas one last time before she loses all her sight so we will take this trip at a slower place and I will try to make this a memorable trip for my Mom.
I’ve been away too long. What’s the Frozen dinner package?

Based on the Pixar Fest announcement, it’s safe to assume no PTN for the holidays....

I know :( was really hoping for it. Just because it came back for the holidays last year.

And sorry to keep going on about the same thing but why can’t the Christmas parade be on the night!!

Surely we can expect a updated Parks blog post this coming week regarding the holiday season?

It is November 1st next Thursday so that’s only one more week away from everything starting!

I just frantically put together a last minute holiday trip back together - and got all the reservations I wanted ! Now I know how WDW planners feel LOL.

Backstory : Had started a new job in August that looked promising - was a sham and left a month ago and have been franbtically looking for steady work since so cancelled Thanksgiving and Christmas plans and flights/hotels.
Landed a new M-F job with weekends off and closed all major holidays so as a treat for my hubby who has been pulling 7 day work weeks driving Uber/Lyft on top of his normal job re-booked Thanksgiving - even got Disney Hotel Thanksgiving reservation TODAY in addition booked a 3 night Christmas stay from Dec 22-25th.

Holiday itinerary :

Dec. 22nd - Drive to Anaheim from Bay area ( possibly fly/ change flight)
Dec. 23rd - Open day - Festival of Holidays likely a focus
Dec. 24th - 12:10pm Holiday Tea for me / Blue Bayou Fantasmic package 7:50pm for us
Dec. 25th - Have Storyteller's and Goofy's booked for dinner at 2pm- not sure which I'll keep. Fly/Drive back after dinner.

I'm very excited :)

WooHoo! Congratulations on the new job and all the pixie dust with your holiday planning! Don't you just love it when things fall into place like that? :)

So I'm an idiot who forgot to double check our passes, and I booked our weekend trip for Dec 15-17 just because that worked for our schedule. Now I'm trying to change our hotel to Dec 8-10 and you can guess how much success I am having!!

This is what I am thinking. PVI, where we were booked, can give us Saturday night but they are booked up Friday night, the 8th. We drive down from the Bay Area on Friday and usually we arrive around 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning, so honestly, we don't care where we stay. Then, we can drive over to PVI Saturday morning and check in and walk to the park.

I need recs for hotels since everything I am used to staying at (walking distance) is booked. I see the Travelodge Anaheim Convention Center has a room. Has anyone stayed there? Anyone have any other suggestions?

I'm totally beating myself up over here over this....
Check every day for people cancelling- even the day before. It can happen!

Does anyone know if there is any truth to magic morning (not extra hour) being offered everyday the week of Christmas for Disneyland park? Our first park day is a Wednesday and I'm trying to figure out our breakfast plans. If we can do MM on the Wednesday we won't do plaza inn breakfast that morning we will use MM..

I thought that if they do offer it, it will be for EMH not MM. could be wrong though

Just recently downloaded the app and have been playing around in order to be more familiar with it. I find it difficult to get options for dinner reservations other than the three that show up initially. Is there a trick to get more options around the time you are looking for?

I know the parks will be super busy during this time. On those days that they have to close the gate for either few hours or the rest of the day how does that affect people who have reservations but are not in the park. I know there is a system on who gets stopped first and so on but if i leave the park and they end up not letting anymore people in but i have a reservation will i have an issue with this?

I went back to Hydroguy's historical calendar because I was pretty sure both were offered daily (we stayed off property last year). It looks like the daily MM/EMH started on Dec 17th.

Thank you. Our first park day is a Wednesday so I'm hoping to use it that day.

A Instagram poster is sharing pictures of the Christmas merchandise she has found in the parks. Soooo many lovely things! Not sure if I can share a link but her username is jollypoppins7 if anybody would like to take a look!

Im not sure but if you know its likely to be one of those days then I wouldn't be leaving the park. Best to check with a CM just in case.
