On a Facebook group a member just posted that the wing in building 6 facing building 10 looked about done and TVs were all on last week.

Oh I would love this to be true given I check in Friday - but do I want to be in a room right near construction?

I had lots of practice making 'guesstimations' when adopting my daughter. When my file went to China the anticipated amount of time to referral was 6 months. It stretched and stretched and our travel group's referrals came 3 1/2 years later! It was a much longer wait buy oh my, she was worth every second of it!!!

My LID (12/07) group waited more than ten years. I saw the stretch happening and jumped to the WC line and was home in 7 months with my perfect child. I had some crazy spreadsheets going on back in the day.

You just want whatever refurbished room they will give you, even if they are doing construction on the other side of your wall. We were in building 7 last week. I saw construction workers in the morning, but never heard them. Now, we were at the parks all day, so if that's your plan, you will be fine.

This. We stayed in building 10 at Thanksgiving. There were workers directly across from us. The only time we were bothered by noise was our arrival day, and the noise was not from the construction. They were power washing outside our room. We were in our room part of one afternoon a few days later before we went swimming and weren't disturbed by any noise at all.

I WISH I had brought something like that for the beds. Even though I read warnings about the beds, I have a nasty bruise from accidentally ramming a corner

We have a trip booked for January, 3 days parks and then a cruise and left booking the resort till late but assumed there would be a room available for 3 nights, turns out that's a no. Came here to see what's up and now reading about the returns I understand why. All good though, staying at Coranado Springs for the first time and since they are doing major construction and refurbs we got a good price and ended up only paying $75 more for the 3 nights. Gonna miss Pop though, my favourite WDW resort.

walked by building 6 again today, and a section of the rooms look done!! They had left the TVs on during the weekend, and now the curtains are down with no paper on the windows.

I smashed my leg on one of those dang corners, just below the knee and it still hurts. I did it 9 days ago. I recommend putting anything padded that won't damage the wood on the corners of the beds. It's so tight in there, the question isn't if someone will hit their leg, it's how many times and how hard.

Someone earlier posted that they used the corners of Coke boxes with rubber tipped clips and these worked well for them at minimal cost.

The new rooms have a coffeemaker. It includes coffee (maybe tea as well? I only noticed the coffee, lol)/creamer/sugar/etc. Disposable coffee cups are provided.

ours had regular and decaf, liquid coffee mate creamer cups, sugar and sweet n'low. There wasn't any tea in our pop room.

I have been following along for a while now... finally booked at Pop for Apr! Fingers crossed for a refurb room. I want to request 70s for closeness to buses etc, but we also have littles with us who would be excited to be by a pool... Decisions, decisions! We booked a standard room category.
