Almost there! Layover in SLC. Super excited for this quick trip!
What an awful way to come home! Glad you had a good trip at least.Just wanted to pop back again and wish all those who still have their trips upcoming to have a great time.
We landed back in the UK yesterday as we visited San Diego and Vegas after Anaheim. We had a fantastic time and were lucky with great weather and the parks were really quiet on the first Tues/Wed/Thurs of December.
Maxpass worked so well for us. As it was quiet, on the Tuesday midday we were taking a break on a bench on Main Street and booked FP’s for our afternoon in DCA. At one point we held FP’s for GoG, RSR and TSM. So the three most popular rides in that park. Even though it was quiet the wait times for them were still 80 mins plus so whilst I know it is cheap for 2 of us, I would really recommend if it you can work it into your budget. Can understand it’s a lot on top of a family of 4’s budget though if you are there for a few days.
We came back to find our house has been burgled whilst we were away so that’s put a major dampener on our trip. We don’t know when they got in as my in laws discovered it Saturday. It seems there has been another 5 houses done over the same week in surrounding streets. The police haven’t even been out to see us yet but that’s a UK political rant for another day!
Wishing everyone a very Happy Holidays and enjoy your trips if you still are waiting to go!

Last night I was talking to DH about how the weather looked nice for our upcoming trip(although it can change) and I said how the girls were going to love the pool. He asked where it was we were staying at again...... I said the Marriott we usually stay at the Hilton. They do not know we are staying at DLH. I really do not know how much longer I can keep it to myself. I have told no one because no one in my family knows how to keep a secret or be discreet.
DD is going to be soo excited and she might not believe it.
DH will give me that look that says seriously why are you always doing stuff like this( in a good way) he suggested we stay there when we(I) started planning but i said no too $$$, but hey we only live once!!
I could not decide either, but in October i made the call to switch and have not looked backed. Now the hard part is going to be trying to not stay there each time we go back. But we have always stayed offsite and had a ton of fun. If you do not have anything to compare it to you won't be missing anything. That’s so exciting! I wish we would have booked paradise pier (in our budget) but when we finally decided to switch it was all booked up..
