New prices are live, and they were better than anticipated in the leak for multi-day tickets:
2 day: $199 to $209 ($209 predicted)
3 day: $289 to $305 ($325 predicted)
4 day: $350 to $380 ($400 predicted)
5 day: $370 to $395 ($415 predicted)
Predictions were correct on Hopper costs and single day costs.
That's because the predicted prices are window prices. You get $20 off if you buy online
Right.... I forgot all about the $20 "savings" online now...,
The Orlando Sentinel has this information posted in their article on the ticket price increase:
"Disney is also planning to sell date-specific one-day and multi-day tickets with prices posted in advance later this year as part of its strategy to help even out crowds. More details were not immediately available."
“Given the small percentage of guests that purchase a one-day ticket at Walt Disney World, extending pre-published, date-specific pricing to multi-day tickets will further advance our efforts to spread attendance throughout the year and ensure all guests have a magical experience no matter when they visit,” Finger’s statement said.
Appears that tiered ticket pricing for mulit-day tickets is coming in the very near future.

Wish I knew the answer to this question. They're getting ready for the opening of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge and will be pushing tickets prices as high as they think the market will bear. Here's the million dollar question: what do you think they mean by "later" in the year? Are we talking in a month or two, before the opening of Toy Story Land? Or, fall etc?
Also this means that there will be two ticket price increases for 2018, today's and whenever the tiered pricing goes into effect. You know that when the tiered pricing is released for multi-day tickets, the prices for the more popular times like summer and holidays are going up, up, up.

Wish I had seen the predicted ticket prices changes yesterday. I usually look all over the boards but this was a busy week so just checked out the podcast board. My bad!! Anyways right now would it be cheaper to use something like UT to buy tickets and bridge to AP or just buy AP? I thought that UT still offers some old priced tickets until they run out. Is that correct?
I to am trying to figure out their thinking - and obviously they have tons of data that we don't. Seems like they either want you to do 1-2 days or like 5+ ... and as you point out, the jump to AP seems smaller than in the past. So maybe they want to get a couple days from people for whom WDW is part of their vacation and then a week plus - or even multiple trips via AP for WDW focused people (maybe trying to reduce/eliminate the people that do 3-4 days at WDW and then 2-3 days at a Universal?)
I mean, in one way, price increases spur demand (sorta). How many of us here are going to buy tickets for the future NOW to save 10%? (which is significant).
I bought 5-day tickets last year before the price increase and before tickets started expiring just to have them "for the future".
I am considering getting an AP NOW instead deciding until November (or) just because I know it will save me $70/person .. which is pretty significant savings (heck I could save another 5% if I could somehow feasibly get $2500 worth of gift cards from Target!)
I just have to decide how much I will use it (and worth the cost now) .. or if I am just pressuring myself to throw down that amount of cash
Yeah it depends on how fast they sell their inventory of the old priced tickets.Yeah UT or the Official Ticket Center (the DIS story said they usually have some for another week or so)
