Ladies...a Swimsuit Question for my Wife

Ladies, I need some help. I am taking my wife to Cancun for our anniversary. She has been hinting at it for years and knowing my wife, a surprise and reveal would send her over the top. She loves surprises and even more, she loves themed surprises.

I plan to surprise her by putting this bag together (with the help of our 21 year old daughter) as part of the reveal. I bought her a designer beach bag and inside of it I will put tanning lotion, a pair of Coach sunglasses she has been eyeballing, a pair of flip flops she told my daughter about, a beach towel she could not keep her hands off of at the mall and some swimwear.

For the swimwear....and this is where I need help....she showed me (3 times now, so I know she really wants it) a swim skirt she likes from Torrid. It is Minnie Mouse. I bought it online. My wife would never wear the top that goes with it because she is self conscience about her breast size (F cup) and she says her arms are flabby. I think she is beautiful and cannot see it, but I want her to be comfortable. I tried to get her to hint about what she would like as a top to go with it and she said she is not "stylish" enough to know what to wear, but it will not be a swimsuit top. So ladies, what would you suggest I get her? I know nothing about women's clothing or swimwear, but I know how to make my wife smile and she is very easy to please. I do not know how I got so lucky. In the past she has swam in ladies swim shorts and a t-shirt, but she always tells me she feels over-dressed and she wants to let loose a little, which is where the swim skirt comes in.

This is the swim skirt I ordered. https://www.torrid.com/product/disney-minnie-mouse-push-up-demi-bikini-top/11171528.html

What a great surprise! I'd say you're both lucky to have one another!!

That Minnie skirt is so cute, I may order one myself!

Have you thought about a rashguard shrit to go along with the swim skirt? A black one would be so cute with the polka dot bottom! That way your wife can be more "covered" up top.
I often wear a rashguard when water skiing, or tubing...to avoid any technical difficulties with my swim top!

Have a super trip!!

Can I just say everything about your anniversary surprise is wonderfully thoughtful? You have really paid attention to all the little things she has said and it sounds like you want her to be happy above all else!

The swimsuit is super cute! I really feel comfortable wearing Lands End rash guards. They are very lightweight and dry quickly. I didn't think I would like swimming in a long sleeve shirt but it looks great in pictures and sure beats dousing the sunscreen. Right now Lands End has a 30% off promo code. Their swim dresses are great too!!

J'aime, I like the way you think!!

RASH GUARD!! That is perfect! You are all so wonderful! Thank you.

I am going to look into getting of those. I will check Land's End. Where else would I look for something like that, outside of Googling?

Yep, what is called a rash-guard would be like a swim-shirt....

You might also be surprised that with the Torrid sizes, she might try the swimsuit top as well???

I am not all that big, but I have a torrid swimsuit top in the smaller size, and they are SO nice.
It is my go-to....

Has she been to Cancun before? Women of all
Sizes seem to be very comfortable
In the smallest of suits. I consider this one to be very modest.
If in the budget I would buy the matching top as well. She just might find the confidence to rock that suit the way it wAs meant to be.
Also I would get a cute matching coverup for walking around and going to breakfast etc

Enjoy!!!

I am a size G on top, and Lands End does not work for me. If you search on line there are what they call swim bras out there. They are made to be worn under other swim tops for added support. Maybe one of those and a cute swim top? Look on Amazon, there are tons of options. Good luck.

Lands end has an easy return policy, I order a bunch and keep one or two. Definitely check the return policy no matter where you buy from.

She'll still need something to go under the rash guard. (I love Lands End, and have bought many over the years). I'd get her the matching Torrid top to the swimskirt. Then add a rashguard. BTW, I love the designer bag idea, and would love Coachies!!! You're doing great!!

I think the top is cute, but I know her and without a doubt she would not be caught wearing it. :(

Athleta.com

Great quality rash guards. I have several. Another option is Zappos.com. They have a large selection.

I know my wife and she would not be. She would not care what other women do or how they look. She would care about how she feels. I do not want her to spend a week feeling self-conscience.

I was just looking at that. Looks like I have to take it back to Sears. I think all of ours closed down. At least within 50 miles.
