What ride do others love that you just don’t ‘get’?

I’m relatively new to The Dis and listening to the shows getting to know the team and I was surprised how much people liked Peter Pan.

I personally think it’s pretty poor and felt I was just looking at some small models in the dark. Nevermind that though.

It got me thinking; What rides do others find people love but you just don’t ‘get it’ yourself?

Space Mountain.

Love the throwback feel of the queue, and the "space" music, but it's such a rough ride, I can't imagine waiting anything longer than 20 minutes for it. Which is why, ironically, we usually get a FP+ for it, though none of us are huge fans.

I like going through SM on the PeopleMover, though! :p

Toy Story Midway Mania - I was like, "That's it?" after we rode it for the first time last year. I'd heard about how people stampeded towards it every morning and our summer trip and Christmas trip, we didn't even bother. I'd be the one picking AS2 over TSM when the tiers change if I couldn't get SDD.

Soarin' - Granted, I've never ridden it because of motion sickness but I've seen enough YouTube videos and family responses to not be sorry I'm missing it unlike FoP where I'm sad I can't ride it.

Illuminations - We loved the old show where the nations lit up and there were lasers in the sky, but the giant ball thing makes no sense at all and we usually skip the show altogether.

Peter Pan - I agree that it's lame but when my DD was little she truly believed we were flying, so there's that.

Haunted Mansion- I don't get the love for this ride, but then again, that makes me one less person in front of you in line.

I feel like you are just taunting me to bite at your Haunted Mansion comment!

I thought they lit up the nations and had the ball thing in the middle and lasers?
When did they stop the lasers?
I remember being amazed when I first seen that show.

Jungle cruise during day.... and by night only with little line and funny captain.

Stitch!!

Kali river rapids

Unless something has changed in the last 3 months, Illuminations still has the lasers and the countries light up. And the giant ball is a globe, which I think makes sense. Still probably my least favorite nighttime show, just because I love all the other ones more.

My favorite part of Peter Pan is when the CM "sprinkles" pixie dust on you as you take off. Other than that, it's mostly just nostalgia for me as I don't think the ride is that great.
