Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Does anyone know approximately how much more they will be charged or if they will be able to use the CL lounge? I don't know if they can do this without staying the entire 8 days.
If you have a room only reservation, the additional adult fee is $35 for each of them per day. You can just add them at check-in for 2 nights of your stay, and remove them when they move to Bonnet Creek.

If you have a package then you can't add them before you check-in unless you or they pay the additional package fees. For packages, everyone in the room has to have the same tickets / dining plan for example.

Moving us back to page 1 and saying HI! from the YC!! :goodvibes We arrived a little bit ago after a 6am flight. We are staying club level & there are a few changes since we were here last year. The food service times are the same, but the lounge area is now open 24 hours. And they have added quiche & crepes to the morning offerings. More later!

Thanks for that info!

The quiche and crepes sound like a great breakfast addition.

And I love that the lounge area is open all the time. Does that mean the high-tech coffee/cappuccino maker is accessible at all hours of the day (and night)?

Wishing you the most magical of trips!

My husband and I will be staying at the BC CL for 8 nights. My daughter and her boyfriend want to stay with us for the first 2 nights of our vacation (they're moving on to Bonnet Creek for a week). They don't want to pay for a room, since our room sleeps 4.

Does anyone know approximately how much more they will be charged or if they will be able to use the CL lounge? I don't know if they can do this without staying the entire 8 days.

I figured I'd asked here before I called Disney.

This is a first for us.

Do you all plan on using the Magical Express? They will need to be added to the reservation prior to arrival to board with you.

I think you can use the coffee machine all night. She said something about the espresso machine but we aren’t big coffee people so I didn’t get too much info. I know she mentioned the coke fridge will be available. I will definitely check it out after closing & update you.

I stopped in the pool showers & so far, no hair dryers. Only took a quick peek coz there was a family in there & I didn’t want to seem like a creep looking all over, lol!

This is my favorite view at the YC! We are a few doors from the lounge but so far no hall noise. We have 2 queen beds with the pull out sofa; shower/ tub combo. It is a great room! Oh, there is a connecting room door. Have to hope for quiet neighbors I guess.

New since last year is a throw rug in front of the sink area. Very pretty, probably not very practical. Will be interesting to see how long these last.

They still have the upgraded toiletries & large sized shower gel & shampoo. Back row is lotion, foot rub, solar gel & sunscreen. Middle row is a vanity kit, mouthwash & shower cap.

Saw some nice stuff in the market place. There is a Yacht Club hoodie that will be coming home with me for sure! I’ll keep track of the evening offerings as best as I can.

Oh, haven’t seen any dogs here yet. Although I saw 1 poor little guy in Epcot. Felt sorry for the poor little thing walking on all that hot concrete & surrounded by the large Saturday afternoon crowds. :sad2:

It sounds great. How do you like the remodeled room?

I really like them. We were here last year after the club level was remodeled so it is not our first stay in them. I am getting used to the higher beds. The closet & more drawer space is the best! I unpack everything so I appreciate all the places to get everything organized. I have all our toiletries, hair products, meds etc in zip lock bags. Usually I have to keep them all on top of the dresser. But with all the shelves under the sink & the smaller top drawers in the dresser, I can put everything “away”. Makes the room look so much less cluttered & relaxing.
I am a carpet person at home, but after a gross, filthy carpet at CBR last December, I am appreciating these new floors a lot!

I would be so happy to have coffee available all night. I don't need the fancy stuff from the espresso machine, I like my coffee hot, black, frequently and most importantly, EARLY! I always feel badly for my roomies when I use the noisy coffee maker, so having my fix available in the lounge would be perfect!

No, we both plan on renting cars. Wow, that's a fantastic price, I thought maybe $150 each for CL. They will be thrilled to hear this. Thanks for your help!!

Does anyone know what type of rooms at the YC do NOT have balconies? That's our main reason for staying at YC and I'd hate to get one of the few and far in between rooms without a balcony. Thanks!!

You can always request a balcony if you are worried about it. :)

I used the shower in the boardwalk fitness center last year and i don't recall seeing a hairdryer in there either. I know the YC/BC showers are new, but are we sure the lack of a hairdryer was an oversight?

Jillpie posted several weeks ago that she spoke to the pool manager who told her she was going to order hair dryers to be installed because guests want them. So we're just checking to see if it has actually been done.

IIRC, the rooms without a balcony are 5163 (definitely) and I believe the ones below it: 4163, 3163, 2163. I'm not sure about the ground level room, 1163. I assume it has patio space. 5163 is a water view room, may be on the corner. I get really confused about where exactly these rooms are because I am directionally deficient. Seriously. I'll do a search of the room number, I think somebody posted a picture.

::yes::

ETA: Found the post and now have entered a rabbit hole to do more digging

They are all located on the corner of the YC building adjacent to the Gazebo section: 1163, 2163, 3163, 4163, 5163. They all have a slightly long entry way and a very Bright set of 2 Double windows looking into the Gazebo section. Please note that 1163 does not have a patio. Also, please note that 5163 is a Club Level room.

:magnify:

Further edit: Now I am wicked confused! I finally posted info about these specific rooms, but have since run across video and pictures of room 4163 showing the room with a balcony.

Room 4163, Mickey T: Corner Room. We had booked a standard view but pretty sure we were upgraded to a water/gazebo view. It had a couch but not sure if it made into a day bed. Best room we EVER had at WDW.

I am confused.

I Love Big Balcs and I Cannot Lie

Does anyone know the room numbers of the rooms at the resort that share a large balcony?

4176 is one of them. Who what are the other rooms connected to this one.
ETA: 4178, 4180

How about at club level- Does 5176 (and a couple of others) have a huge shared balcony?

Are there any at the Beach Club?

Have lost track of all this info and I would like to try to sort it out.

:magnify:

Room 4176, 4178, 4180
Standard View
Over Yacht Club Front Entrance Portico
Extra Large (3 room? balcony)
At least one connecting door between two of the rooms.

More from 4176- shoreward, Jan 2017

I know - but as I mentioned, the YC/BC showers are new. If management realizes that the existing showers in other resorts do not have hair dryers, they might decide not to provide hair dryers for the new YC/BC showers. (That's assuming there are no hair dryers in the existing showers in other resorts.)

I checked out the new pool showers at the Copper Creek Villas pool and they were set up like the showers at YC/BC. They didn't have hair dryers, either.

Thanks for posting - My next stay is at Copper Creek. I have an evening flight home in the summer, so I probably will be making use of those showers.

Lately I haven't been booking early enough to get into Beach Club Villas. (This time I was waiting because I was adding on a DVC resale contract and it had banked points which need to be used, so I wasn't going to book until I had those points.)

Thanks for checking! I was hoping we would be guaranteed a balcony with a woods/garden view at YC but I'm not so sure. I need to call and request 2 queen beds so maybe I should specify balcony too. I also would like to be somewhat close to the lobby so I just don't want to request too many things! :) Thanks!

Yes 5176 is a shared balcony...I think there are four rooms on it. We had 5176 and really liked it...didn't mind the shared balcony at all. Only once was someone else out there when we were, and we had a nice conversation. Sorry I don't know the other room numbers but if I am remembering correctly 5176 was the first room after the lounge.
