Goodness I wish/hope. My friend just spent 4 months as her job is transferring her down to Florida and still doesn't have it . But I'll figure it out . lol . but maybe I'm just missing some detail . or maybe she just made it sound worse then it is. LolAre they not a compact state? When I moved from SC to TN it was super easy to transfer my license because they were both compact and I even got to work before the process was complete.
I soo want to move to Florida, just to be close to Disney. Even if only a short few years. But, I'm a registered nurse in PA and I need an engineering degree to figure out how to get my license in Florida. But hopefully in 2 years I'll get it worked out ..lmao .
And I really enjoy reading everyone's stories.

Aren't there a lot of sinkholes in that direction?OP- We moved here almost 3 years ago. After tons and tons of research, we decided on Clermont. It's the area to the west of Orlando you didn't visit Winter Garden and Clermont (north) are wonderful areas; very family oriented and homeschool friendly as well. We are part of a large homeschool co-op here. There's something for just about everyone. Clermont is growing liked crazy. You might look into the "Horizon West" area of Winter Garden. This is off the 429 where new homes are shooting up. You have access to a major toll, yet you're out far enough to feel a sense of community (not to mention you'd probably see Disney fireworks nightly). Anyway, I just wanted to add my 2 cents since we did the same thing several years ago. Have fun!

Is Clermont the hilly part of Florida?Clermont is gorgeous-I love driving through there on the way to Disney.
I was looking at a few communities in Florida and Naples seems nice. Not sure if I could live there though as it seems you need a car to get around. I am used to walking and riding a bicycle to get around.
I'd imagine if you move to Florida all of these lovely places could be an easy day or overnight trip, and therefore much cheaper than planning a trip from far away. Definitely a bonus!Naples looks really nice (but pricey for FL??). It's simply gorgeous! I think I prefer a bit more north but I could see vacationing in Naples.
