I love credit cards so much!

I don't know if they have a company they prefer. As with TA's, there are some that are allowed and some that aren't. I don't know their reasoning but since it's their boards they make the rules. It's part of why for some things it's suggested you type in the web address because it'll pick up if it's ok or not.

Oh yeah, the ticket tiering! From the rumors & news board multi day tickets are going to go to tiered pricing like the single day tickets have, peak season, low season etc. It's rumored that it'll happen in mid October and that part of the issues with MDE are part of this roll out.

Not sure who posts on reddit, but I believe it from the people that have posted on the news thread as they generally have it correct or close to it.

Hopefully this is what it's all from and depending on when the pricing changes I could see why Disney and/or Chase may want them to stop booking for the moment.

Apparently I need to read up on the ticket changes at some point. Every time they do something I feel so much better about our decision to buy a couple sets of NE tickets in 2011. It was scary committing so much of our savings into Disney tickets at that point in time, but we were fortunate to ride out the recession in our existing jobs and with all the changes since we'd not be getting our Disney fix in. (I thought that might have been the first time hubby seriously considered divorce when I told him I picked up a 2nd set from UCT while they still had 2010 discount prices available.) We grabbed another set of PH's with no expiration dates for a future trip long trip when they announced the expiration date change, so we could avoid whatever shenanigans came up after that. So we joked we're covered for WDW for the rest of our lives now, but it might not be a joke

I still have days left on the old 10 day no expire water park fun hoppers too. I wanted to buy a second set right when they got discontinued, but I didn't have the spare money then. A couple of years ago, I did pick up a pair of 7 day hoppers right as regular tickets got expiration dates. I'm saving these for a two week trip sometime in the future. I don't go to the parks everyday - too exhausting. So 7 day tickets are perfect!

Were you going through the UR portal for CSR?

@DisneyMandC I found them. Went through CSR UR portal (on the app, I’m on mobile right now) and got all ticket options from PTP 1 day through 5 day tickets! I think the only thing they don’t have now is the 1 day base ticket!
You didn’t mention 2 Park PTP or 3 Park PTP so here’s both & I gave 3 day prices because it’s super cheap to tack on a 3rd day if that’s in the cards and the promo rates could make 4 days for the cost of 2?

2 Park PTP:
-2 day PTP 19,479 for my random day of Oct 5 (cash cost via UR $292.19)
-3 day PTP 20,579 UR ($308.69)

3 Park PTP:
-2 day 23,521 ($352.82)
-3 day 24,551 ($368.27)

They also had “promo” offer but I’m too scared I might accidentally book it if I click “book it” looking for more info...
-2 Park PTP 4 day Promo 19,479
-3 Park PTP 4 day Promo 23,521

I was on the Chase website not the app...went to the UR travel portal..saw tickets but no option to select different types...I’ll have to download the app

I sent Chase an SM early this morning. Have not even received the "We received your message" SM back. I know it is Sunday, but I thought I have always gotten an instant auto response and then a few hours later the actual response.
I sent a SM On Thursday and never received the ...We received your message email either...and they got back to me later the same day

My Citi TY Premier closed and the 60k+ points show on my main Citi account page but in the portal all I have is my TY Preferred & its 14 points showing. I’m thinking I need to give it a few more days & the TY points will eventually post?

This is :offtopic: but has anyone ever been during Pop Warner week at WDW and stayed in an All Star? We were excited about those cheap plane tickets with Frontier, but I didn't realize it was Pop Warner week.

I've been researching all day and have a couple of questions about the Chase UR portal. I usually search for and book my flights on Kayak. The best route timewise for the cheapest price wins. I am a little nervous about opening a CSP and booking through the UR portal. I've read that sometimes the portal doesn't have the availability that a site like Kayak does, or the prices can be higher than Kayak. I need 4 flights and I won't have URs to transfer to an airline partner early enough to book what I need. Nor will I have enough URs for all 4 Flights. So I will be using either the portal or the statement credit (if the price and availability is better through Kayak) for the tickets. I know using a statement credit leaves .25 on the table.

I am torn between the CSP and the Capital One Venture card because if I have to book using URs as a statement credit the bonuses are the same (smaller spend on the Capital One card), annual fee is the same, statement credit 1 for 1 is the same, but the capital One card earns double miles on everything.

Does the Capital One card have a referral bonus? If not, it could tip things toward the CSP. I can get the bonus by referring DH. Neither of us have a business, so even though opening a CIP was suggested for both of us (then we'd have UR bonuses from 4 cards), I don't know if we can get approved for the CIPs. Plus I'm not sure we could make the spends on 4 cards in only 6-ish months. Out trip is in July 2019. Sorry I have so many questions. I don't want t leave any bonuses on the table. but I don't want to get in over my head either!

BA Avios have a distance based award chart. Their best use is on domestic short haul flights and flying to Asia. When you fly transatlantic through Europe you will likely have to connect in London and the taxes and fees are nearly the price of an economy ticket.

Off peak. One passenger next July/ Aug all connect via LHR even when choosing no stopover
PHL-FRA 49,000 Avios and $567 in taxes and fees for economy RT
126,750 and $1220 for business RT
164,750 and $1560 for first RT

I'm seeing a 40% bonus for Amex MR transfer to British Airways Avios until 11/15/18. Now I really want that 100k plat!

Many moons ago before DVC. We survived. I'd do it again.

We just took advantage of the 30% bonus transfer to Virgin Atlantic. I'm hoping that will pan out to book ANA for our trip to Japan.

No referrals for Cap1. Recently helped my Dad get a Saver card. We were going to do the Venture but the saver was offering the same thing except instead of having to redeem for $500 in travel he could have $500 in straight up cash.

Thanks for that info.

Question for Delta hostages...I'm thinking of getting the Delta platinum which gives the companion fare after the first year and with $195 AF with $3,000 MSR in 3 months. It appears that the Delta Biz Platinum has the same except for it gives you access to the Delta lounge. Any reason not to do the Biz? Seems like a no-brainer but I want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Welp, I just unfroze my credit and applied for the Amex Plat Ameriprise (no fee first year). This was always the plan to get the free lounge access.

I got the dreaded pop up saying I wasn't eligible for the offer. I've never had the Ameriprise plat before. I stared at the screen awhile and then ultimately canceled the app. Was this the right decision? I didn't want to end up having to pay the annual fee... there were no Membership Rewards offered as there is no signup bonus.

Yes, I've had the vanilla plat in the past. Got the 100k points from it. My DH did that too... so I'm assuming he would get the same popup message, right?

I don’t have any AmEx cards...but from reading here people are saying they want to see activity on the AmEx cards you currently have..

Which popup message did you get?

Because you have or have had The Platinum Card, you are not eligible to receive the welcome offer.

Or,

Based on your history with American Express welcome offers, introductory APR offers, or the number of cards you have opened and closed, you are not eligible to receive this welcome offer.

Second one. Reddit says I've been flagged as an unprofitable churner. Do you agree with that?
