Congratulations?!
A few people here have gotten the second pop up message. Fortunately, the DPs suggest this blacklist is not permanent, but rather dynamic and you can get off it by putting spend on your Amex cards.
I haven’t had the “unprofitable churner” pop up yet, but I’m nervous about the next time I or my wife applies for an Amex. I’ve got 8 open Amex cards (2 of which I’m working on MSR), and my wife has 2 open Amex cards in her name, so splitting our spend sufficiently across 10 Amex cards is kind of stressful.
ETA: I’ll need to cancel some of these cards next year, but mindful that the number of cards closed could also land me on the blacklist.
what credit card can you get cash back for buying gift cards?
Lol I read the whole thing from the beginning and it took me around 2 months. I was so clueless and I tried to read as much as I could before really getting my feet wet, but I also had no idea how fast this game changed and how what I was reading did not apply anymoreI'm somewhat of a weirdo and a super fast reader, but I definitely read close to 700 pages (or more?) of posts as far back as 2016 just a few weeks ago. For me, I was interested in seeing the HOW of utilizing points for trips as opposed to new credit card bonuses/rules, etc. I was sure to read the most recent 75 pages or so before I commented.
I was in the same boat Hoping to go back one day and take advantage of the extra day offers. ...TBH the only stuff I truely love at The Dark Side is Harry Potter and Dudley Do Right Falls- hey, it’s a freaking awesome ride and as kids my bro & I thought Dudley Do Right was the coolest cartoon ever despite only having one VHS cartoon of him some happy memories just stick forever apparently. If I had kids Dr Suess would be included in the list. As for the roller coasters I grew up going to Magic Mountain... BUT my fam fell in absolute love with RPR so I think someday RPR + cheap/free park days will make a nice chill few days for us all. Alas as I said that was not an option last trip to FL and we aren’t even going to The Dark Side this trip at all. Only so much vacay time & budget! (Even when you got the time & the park ticket is free you gotta eat & sleep somewhere and I admittedly have some standards there )Thank you so much for checking that! Sorry, just checking in after being at the hospital all day. Yeah I keep seeing all the great deals for an extra day at the park, but unfortunately I don't see anyway for us to make it happen.
My understanding is that your DISchurner friend will still receive the points despite that message. (I'd guess somebody else here will echo that comment too if you want to wait for a second confirmation).I am ready to sign up for a Chase Ink Business Preferred card, and like any good DISchurner, I am trying to use a referral link from r/DISchurners. However all of the links give me the popup below. Is it OK to proceed? Do you all need to update that referral link?

@Haley RWe took DD on her first trip to Disneyland at 3 months. She’s probably been back 20 times since. Traveling with a newborn is way easier than traveling with a toddler! (But newborns also tend to need more “stuff.”)

Haha thanks. We’ll have to see how we feel after having a kid. If I can convince grandma and grandpa to come then I’d probably do it!@Haley R
Newborns are great to travel with. If they are b-feed is even easier.
I went back home to Brazil (20hrs) by myself with my then 6 months daughter and it was supper easy but she is now almost two I she is a little terror
But someone else commented that kids are almost free until the turn 3! I am trying to take advantage of that as much as I can!
Pretty much the only ones you should avoid when consistently buying gift cards are US Bank (absolutely avoid for buying gc) & Amex (some gc seem to be ok, but tread lightly). Since you want it long term make sure there is no annual fee.what credit card can you get cash back for buying gift cards?
Also, I am trying to bump up my credit score, what is a good card to stat with for improving your score?
Ok - I'm back with some Ultimate Rewards & Rental Car questions...(I rent a car once every 2-3 years sooooo this one isn't my area of expertise ). Here's a few scenarios I'm looking at for our Sea World trip in November, thoughts on if each would work?
1) I currently have an Alamo reservation in my name. I am not an AU on my wife's CSR...can we use her card to pay for the rental or will that get denied due to my name on the reservation (i.e. I need to use a card with my name on it to pay)? I did not add her as an additional driver when I made the reservation initially. I guess if necessary, I could make a new reservation with her as the primary and me listed as additional driver...
2) If I wanted to reserve a rental car using my Wife's UR points on her CSR...can I make the reservation with ME as the driver? OR does it have to be in her name, OR could I add myself as an additional driver there?
Basically - I'm either trying to use our CSR travel credit OR our UR points to pay for this car . Wife has the CSR, I am not an AU, and she will DEFINITELY not be driving us around Orlando...how do I navigate that one?
Thanks friends!! Any thoughts and feedback are welcome.
