Day 6 [part 5]: Finishing off our First Night in Tokyo DisneySea
One of the things we noticed so far with our partial day in the Tokyo parks… there aren’t actually THAT many families in the park! It was a LOT of groups of school kids. So that means… that especially at this time of night… there weren’t that many kids in Ariel’s Playground! So of course, us Big Kids went and explored!
Here we go! YAY!
A general map of the place!
We found Prince Eric’s Statue!
An area where there is a sign with Flounder on it

It looks like the sign is telling us to pretend we’re flounder, and bounce off the “sails” ?? Yeah we think so. So there is a head cut off Glendon in that photo getting ready to bounce haha. If you really go at it, it’s actually a silly kind of fun! If only the sails went on a little bit longer haha. Mind you I guess we’re pretty big kids to be bouncing through there.
There was this one dark area that people were laughing and having a good time, so we decided to go over. It was basically just a small dark cave section. We had no idea why they had so much fun… except that there were remnants of some fluorescent green light fading out on the walls. WE COULDN’T FIGURE IT OUT WHAT DO YOU DO IN HERE?? We thought, okay maybe it’s glow in the dark! So we turned on the flashlight option on our phones and shined them right on the walls. Nothing. WHAT DO WE DO? Okay it’s not that hard. It’s actually quite simple. Just touch the wall. Hahahaha. So yes, we laughed ourselves silly at how we couldn’t think of that to begin with. Then we went and drew happy faces everywhere.
And Brian wanted to write his name haha
Then there was this section where it was a full on rope bridge
It looks so cool!
And look how cute this underground theme is!

Oh I guess Ariel’s playground is kind of themed around bits of a sunken ship underwater, with lots of Ariel’s treasures around and underwater creatures everywhere!
Haha here is Jenna in the lookout tower
Look at the multilevel of this playground!
We were all exploring basically on our own, so finally I went to find Glendon.
I found him.

Hahaha I guess he finished exploring faster than us, because there he is sitting on a bench holding onto our new Giant Head Chip. Not really sure what’s going on with the group of people on the other side of the photo though. Time for us to go though, we were starting to get hungry!
AHHH! The store is called Sleepy Whale Shoppe. And it has a smaller sign on top that says “Shhhh”
Look at its eye now! It’s closed!
We made a quick bathroom stop on our way out of Mermaid Lagoon. Look at this cute purse holder
(No idea why I thought it was so neat, to be honest)

We had already decided earlier on that we would probably eat dinner from the Casbah Food Court in Arabian Coast. They have three places to order from inside: Flying Carpet Curry, Royal Tandoor, and Noodle Charmer. I’m a little bit confused why there were three food places inside… As far as we could tell, the menu was the same for all of them?
The theming is CUTE
Closer view of the menu
We all ordered the Chicken Curry with rice and naan!
(I think… Glendon also order a single chicken wing?!)
YAY! Look at the ceiling!
I was obsessed with the tray…
Because.. they have their own branded trays here per location!

Food was tasty. Nothing super exciting fantastic, but a basic curry meal. It was actually hot, which was a huge improvement over our disappointingly warm lunch! If you’re a huge lover of Indian curry, this is very very basic haha. Mild, not spicy, not deep in depth of spices… but I don’t know it was comforting on such a cold day. Kind of exactly what we wanted in that moment. We were happy! Our favourite thing about the place was definitely just how beautiful it is here!
After dinner, since we were in Arabian Coast, we decided that we NEEDED to go on the top level of the double decker carousel. Especially since there was no line up! All the animals are kind of a fun mix. You have your classic palace horses, but you also have some Arabian elephants, and even a Griffin! I don’t really know why.
Glendon and I being total weirdos
Yes, I decided I HAD to ride the Griffin
And here is Jenna and Brian. Jenna is riding a Genie haha. And Brian’s just on a horse

Truthfully, you can’t really tell that you’re on a second floor of a double decker carousel. You still have a floor below you, so instead you feel more like you’re on a super indoor carousel haha. It does look cool from outside though. Very grand.
JK You can’t really see it at night time HAHA oops (need a better low light camera than my phone)
We were really excited to walk through again in the daylight to be really able to take it all in again. Everything looked great at night, but imagine it in the daylight!!
(I kept singing Arabian Nights to myself the entire time we were here)
Aha! Another gift shop! Agrabah Marketplace
YEAH who else loves loud shirts!!!
OH MY GOD I FREAKED OUT AT THIS.
It is a keychain. OF MY DINNER!!!!!

EXCEPT IT’S EVEN BETTER THE MEAT PIECES ARE MICKEY SHAPED. I actually CAN’T GET OVER THAT THIS IS A KEYCHAIN OF MY DINNER! (Literally my reaction in the store. I’m sure surrounding people were giggling at me. I was going crazy at this. For real.)
ALL OF THE FOOD KEYCHAINS WHAT
DONALD TUBE BUN
EGGS AND HAM IN PAN. POPCORN BUCKETS.

OKAY HOW HOW HOW THEY ARE SO TINY YET SO DETAILED!!! Yeah I still can’t contain myself about these. They literally look like you took the actual thing and stuck it in a shrink machine and then you attached it onto a keychain. Okay… who could’ve thought one could get obsessed with food keychains…
Okay, freakout over. But LOOK AT THIS AUTOGRAPH BOOK
APRIL, MAY, AND JUNE?! LITERALLY have never seen stuff with them on it.

Okay… okay… merch freakout actually over now…
Would you believe that Glendon managed to convince me that I didn’t need any of it?
Upcoming… Good night DisneySea!
