:sad:How'd you even get to the description? It kept taking me to another search page. Well, I guess if we can book SSR at the price point rentals usually go for, on the portal, that is still a bit of a win.
Just the description on the site (and your pic) - "Prime Vacation Time" - "1Bdrm / 1 BA" - just doesn't seem like the type of Description used for a Disney Property listed officially.

You get pre check with GE. The only reason I can think of is if you don't plan to keep GE long term but at that point you could just apply for pre check before GE expires.

Thanks, that is what I thought, but when I saw someone wanting to apply for both I started wondering if there was something I was missing.

Interesting. I got a replacement card in the mail since the MB Plat has been discontinued and converted to the vanilla Platinum. My new vanilla Platinum has the contactless feature, but now also has the same plastic-y matte back layer as the Gold. My old MB Plat, canceled vanilla Plat, and Biz Plat all have the shiny metal(lic?) layer but no contactless.

Oh, that's really disappointing. Does this mean the end of the nice metal cards? While my rose gold AMEX is pretty, I still like the feel of the platinum (and those metal platinum cards aren't even all that old!)

I've had GE for several years, but not TSA Pre. Is there any reason why we might want both?

I'm pretty sure GE includes precheck (I only have GE and get precheck using my known traveler number, or whatever it's called).

I also need a new passport -- mine expires in December of this year but I'm really not keen on sending it in until the government thing is more settled.

Oh that's good to know. I thought someone had told me previously that GE didn't give you precheck.

Yes and unless you like candy (they have quite the candy bar), not really. It’s small, crowded and the power outlets are hard to find. DH and I sat i. their “work area” to charge pre flight and the chairs were so uncomfortable. Remember there are minute suites in ATL that are supposed to be part of priority pass for an hour I believe...if you want peace and quiet (and to be a disboards guinea pig), you could try that out.
Yeah, I saw the minute suites. Since it is a 2 hour layover and close to dinner time, I was looking for food as well. It doesn't look like the minute suites have any free food. Though it sounds like there isn't any hot food at the lounge.

Rear Window is a favorite. 12 Angry Men. Rio Bravo.

North by Northwest is great- cheese and all. Also, To Catch a Thief. And Charade.
How did I forget to mention Charade!!!! Loooooove this movie. Another great Cary Grant movie is His Girl Friday.
Since westerns were mentioned, Stagecoach - John Waynes' breakout movie; The Cowboys.

'm in the same boat. Still need to get one with my married name. Think I'll put in DHs Precheck tonight... why not?
I don't think Precheck was impacted by the shut down. I got DS's precheck the first week of January. No delay. If you are planning on Europe, did you think about GE? It comes with Precheck.

Oops! Definitely meant GE. Was thinking of the interviews being cancelled.

For food- there were a couple of soups and assorted cold sandwiches and salad (in addition to the candy bar which was the highlight for my inner child).
I was underwhelmed but don't want to be misleading-there was food to be had.

The Marriott Biz card is being discontinued at the same time as the SPG personal, so only have until 2/12 :(

Some brave soul on DoC is attempting an app over 5/24 anyway, despite DoCs Chase rep confirming all cards are supposed to have the requirement now. Here's the link to the comment if he comes back with good news ( although if it is good I doubt we'd need the comment, I suspect a update post with big capital letters in the headline would grab our attention :) ) : https://www.doctorofcredit.com/shou...-before-they-are-discontinued/#comment-711312

Oh wow! I totally missed that part. Hmmm, well I may wind up upgrading my Marriott Premier Plus to a Ritz then. So much for trying to avoid AFs.

What am I missing that I have never heard of any of these movies? I am no where close to being a 20 something.

A lot of them are black and white, maybe that's why?

All this talk of Charade I'll need to watch it soon. I've seen His Girl Friday, it was ok. I liked An American in Paris. Oh I need to add Breakfast at Tiffany's because I haven't seen it. I can't do westerns, my mom goes on kicks and will watch them especially if there's a John Wayne marathon on. You could give her the plot and she could probably tell you the name of every one of his movies. She and her dad used to go see them in the theater when she was growing up so I get why, they just aren't my taste.

@afan two episodes of Grand tour came out tonight. Can’t wait to hear after you watch it. Don’t want to say anything and spoil it but I learned something really interesting from it haha.

What?? The 3rd's out too? I watched the 2nd earlier and when I was done it wanted me to watch some James May thing. Off to watch it now. All I have to say after the 2nd is I laughed out loud and will never think of Colombia and donkey's the same way again.

Beginner-ish question:
Leaving for Disney tomorrow, trying to decide best card to put meals on. Sapphire preferred or Navy Fed flagship. Flagship is 3x travel (charge to room, codes as travel) whereas chase is 2x, but seems more flexible? I feel like it's still better to use the flagship and use the cash to book a future travel if that's the way we decide to use rgen, instead of booking through the chase portal. Does that make sense? I've been packing all day, my brain is running on empty haha
I have the Flagship and that's what I will do in March for our trip. That will be my backup for when my gift cards run dry.

YUP!! Lol that’s not what I found informative, it was something else :rotfl2:

No idea. I'm a Uni virgin too - so really its just a hope that other parts of the park will be less busy, since the only thing my daughter cares about is the HP stuff. :rotfl:

I can let you know when I get back! It does look like it will be less busy in general when we're there (8th/9th) than it will be over the holiday weekend. The 9th is the first night that the Mardi Gras parade does its thing, seems to be only on certain nights.
and @kidsfirsttrip I’ve only been twice but stayed RPR with Unlimited EP. The best advice I’ve seen since UEP started working on HP rides is to get there for early morning and use some time to take pics around the HP areas. They will be jam packed a couple hours later but early in the morning everyone else seems laser focused on the HP rides.

BOOM - 3rd time's a charm with my Backdoor SM Match request!!! :D 60k AA Miles for $2k Spend plus $215 for selling my AA eGift Card!
Congrats!!!!

So I asked over on the HEA Dessert Party thread if the dessert party coded as travel. Someone replied that it did for the CSR so I figured what the heck I will give it a try on my Barclay Arrival + Card. So, I go to book it - and there is nowhere to pick MC - They Have Visa, AMEX, Discover but not MC??? Is this right!!
FYI you can pay for these with disney gift cards if you call to book, which isn’t an option online, so maybe if you call you could use MC if it doesn’t work online?
