**Disney After Hours-Hollywood Studios** FAQ & Discussion Thread

Ok I am awake after MUCH needed sleep. Walked 10 miles yesterday and boy am I out of shape.

This was fun and “worth” it, but one and done for us. Slinky wait never dropped below 15-20 minutes for us. We got 4 rides in and one more on Aliens when my kid declared she was done at 10:30. We probably shouldn’t have done MK beforehand. Oops.

We got 2.5 hrs in though, by heading to TSL at 8.

My husband rode ToT 3 times. He said there were 2 elevators running. No preshow required.

He also said Movie Magic ran at 10.

Drinks and snacks need to be available in TSL.

People were having a good time. CMs were fantastic. Only waited a few minutes for a POP bus.

We consider it a success, but we prefer the morning events. They even said they’d get up early next time. ;)

I’m glad we did it. I just feel last night had too many people jammed into one line.

Good luck to those of you hoping for May. Today was my 60 day window, so opted out of the May watch for this and booked all my FP’s. The good news is that I had no problems getting SDD at 60+2, or anything else for that matter for our 6 day trip.

Either early May is light crowds or recent policy changes have really opened availability. But for us DAH will just have to wait for another trip.

Early May has always had fairly light crowds. Wish we could go then.

We can’t when the whole family goes, but this just my grandson and I so was finally able to give it a try. There’s a cheerleading event, resorts are pretty much booked, but apparently it’s not affecting fp availability too much.

Has anyone tried seeing Fantasmic at 8 pm and doing DAH with an 8:30 start? We have APs and tickets for DAH. I have Fantasmic planned for later in the week, but we’ve decided we’d like to see Tony Orlando at Epcot on what is supposed to be our Fantasmic night.

If we see Fantasmic, I assume we won’t be out til 8:45. Our goal is to meet Olaf, and do ToT, RnR, and all three TSL rides twice each, so 11 total experiences.

Really hope they are doing this for our trip. Will be Labor Day weekend so not getting my hopes up.

Just thought of something... it'll be tough for sure losing that extra hour of sleep, but you'll be an hour ahead of everyone who plans to rope drop and forgets to set their clocks forward! Though I guess these days most people's clocks do it automatically? :confused3
That’s a sweet thought...but with the amount of planning people are forced to do with Disney as a whole, I can’t imagine a little daylight savings will trip them up :joker:

We’re actually doing this exact thing on 3/23. My thought is that it’ll give the crowd a little time to clear out, plus we’ll also head towards anywhere but TSL first and let people lose their minds for the first hour or so there. May not even attempt TSL until 9:45-10:00.

I'm working on my itinerary for this Saturday I am trying to figure out when we need to leave our offsite hotel to get to the gate by 6:45. Is getting to the park, parking, and getting through bag check pretty smooth between 6 and 7? I'd assume so since most people are going to be headed out of the park instead of in, but I wanted to make sure.

While I have not come via vehicle, I have found the park arrival experience at that later hour quite smooth. It sounds like they are generally holding the DAH ticket holders until closer to the 7 side of things, generally speaking.

Does Disney increase prices for this offer? Thinking of 3/23 but waiting until next week

They only increase the price if you buy it the day of. It’s $125 for an advanced ticket and $129 for day of. This is without any type of discounts like dvc or if you have an ap
