**September 2019**

We have free QSDP for Aug 29-Sept 7, so today was my ADR day. Only went for 2 BoG lunches and a Garden Grill breakfast which we will pay for oop.

SO, because I am a true genius, I managed to make a lunch BoG ADR for TODAY. HA! Then I had to change it three times before it actually stayed changed. Other than that, no problem getting the times we wanted.

BUT, BoG lunch is very popular and there were several times available for today. So if you can't get an ADR you want, try again day before or morning of. You may be surprised by what shows up!

My ADR day is in 10 days and this is good to hear! I am hoping for BOG lunch and have 2 days we can choose from. I'm going to shoot for my ideal day first and then go for my backup day.

So, this lunatic (me) who didn't plan to go at all in 2019 & ended up planning a September trip in January actually just planned ANOTHER trip. Today. In the span of about 3 hours. For next month. I don't even know who I am anymore, y'all.

Next month's trip will be a 2-night, DAH-only trip for DD8 and me. It's a surprise for her, and we'll actually leave on her birthday. For several years, DH & DS have been able to do "mancations" together - camping with grandpa, trip to a MLB game, etc. She and I have not done anything like that, so this will be her first "girlcation," as I know it will be called. (She's super original with names.) I'm really looking forward to it, but still can't believe I just booked that today! Ha!

I can't decide if it makes me obsess about the September trip more or less. :rotfl:

Just got an email from Touring Plans. The crowd levels for our dates (Sept 24-30) all went up! Some from a 1 to a 2 which is no biggie, but some were from a 2 to a 5!! I wonder why the change?

In the email is a link that tells you why they made the changes. I would suspect they will keep going up, they usually do.

Love it! Where are you staying?

Today was ADR day! I managed to get almost everything I wanted at the time I wanted.

9/2 - 'Ohana - 4:55 (I would prefer this was on the 31st so I am going to set an alert)
9/3 - Akershus - 5:30
9/4 - Storybook - 4:15 (YAY!!!!!!!!!)
9/5 - Coral Reef - 11:45 / Tusker House Rivers of Light - 6:00
9/6 - Be Our Guest - 10:20 / Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic - 5:00

When/if I can find the Ohana res at a different time I will book Boatwright in it's place. Pretty confident I can make a last minute res there so not concerned.

That's awesome! I'm still hunting down a Storybook res, have my alerts set up and my fingers crossed!

We'll stay at Coronado Springs. I almost went with a value, but then decided since I want to do a pool/resort day, the water slide will be worth it. We have stayed at Coronado before and loved it. I also got a better discount through Southwest Vacations than I was going to get on the Disney site. Go figure. But maybe it was because I "bundled" the flight and hotel. I still got a Disney reservation number to put everything in MDE and was already able to customize MB and get FP+, so I may be checking with them for other non-package trips in the future!

Thanks! All it said was the anticipation of Mickey’s Runaway Railway potentially opening the first week of September, but that would only account for the DHS crowd level changes? I’m assuming park hours were changed maybe? That’s what the email says is normally the reason. I hadn’t made a note of them so I wouldn’t know now if what’s listed is different.

Our dates are 8/29-9/7. Our dates had lots of "up 1" and "down 1" changes, but HS went up 3 or 4 levels for all the September dates.

I am SO sick of this winter!!! It is 9 degrees and snowing today. Very windy with a wind-chill of "my face hurts after 5 seconds and also I can't breathe." LOVELY.

Im trying to channel September Orlando weather, but not succeeding!

Yay for a good deal on a moderate! Never been to CSR but need to visit next trip because it is the only resort I have never visited.

OH PRETTY PLEASE I WANT THIS TO BE TRUE!!!!

We had our first real snow of the season - but it was warm enough that I cannot complain.

Spring soon enough, not that it helps to hear that when you are freezing cold :duck:

Just want to mention this, in case you are going towards the end of September/beginning of October, WDWNewsToday is reporting that at the shareholders meeting will have announcements about SWGE, possibly including the one at WDW. And the new rumors are that SWGE will open September/October, Themepark Insider also has reported this rumor.

Im not sure how I feel about this yet. I was hoping to miss the craziness of its opening, but I don't know if we will be going back to WDW for a long time, Im not happy with the direction the company is taking with all the uncharge events, and shorter park hours and the ever increasing costs. So I suspect if it is opening I will be all in for the crazy, and will forgo some other plans when I have to pay to get Fastpasses.... because I suspect its coming.

I saw those articles too. I.AM.PUMPED! (If it's true) We're there 9/28-10/4...I would be thrilled if it opened when we were there. I don't have much hope though. We plan on a May 2020 trip just for SW:GE.

I want to see what they did and experience the rides, I just do not want the crazy crowds. And it totally blows up my current planning. Guess I will make sure I am flexible, just in case. Hopefully we will know the 7th, would make it a bit easier since I STILL don't know when Illuminations will end.

This has been mentioned in the SWGE threads- the overall feeling is that WDWNT is (not for the first time) way off in its assertion that SWGE will be opening that early. TPI appears to just be reporting what WDWNT published, nothing is corroborated. The only SWGE announcement that is fully expected at the meeting is the official opening date of SWGE in DL. There's good discussion in the other threads as to why the WDW announcement is likely a baseless rumor.

Havent read the threads here, just at WDWMagic. Just thought people should be aware, just in case. :confused3

Oh do I hope this isn’t true! We have ZERO interest in Star Wars or anything to do with the craziness that will be the opening of SWGE. We purposely planned our trip hoping to avoid it and actually hoping it wouldn’t be as busy due to others waiting to go later in the fall!
