I can’t decide how I feel! It’s the day before we leave and the day after our HS day. We have EMM booked for the 28th already, but I’m hoping this means the new Mickey railway ride will be open by then too.

We weren’t planning to be in DW right til the end of August and I don’t really want to change my dates, but I feel like once my family finds out it’s opening in August, they’ll make me change my dates. Lol. It would be great if the Railway opened!

We leave the day before, seriously thinking about trying to rebook for earlier in the month now. Problem is we have a free dining bounce back and I don't want to lose that. I want nothing to do with the crowds and I'm afraid this will really effect them the whole time we are there the 21st-28th...I have to decide soon because we booked our flight last night and have about 7 hours to cancel without a fee. HELP

I know what you mean. Call the bounceback number to see if there’s any free dining availability for earlier in August.

However I’m leaving my dates. I could only move up by a week max, and I have all the dining and BBB reservations so we will just make the most of it.

I can't decide how I feel either. We arrive Aug 30th late for a long weekend, departing Monday Sept 2. I never expected it to open this early so I just wasn't prepared to deal with this. Fortunately, this will be our 5th trip this year so I do feel like I have leeway as far as canceling. Honestly I'd rather do a AP preview trip.

I just went ahead and cancelled our flight to avoid any fees should we decide to change. At least now I feel less pressure to make a decision but I'm definitely still disappointed.

Ill be there August 3rd-10th and I am not gonna lie...It's kinda stressing me a bit. Mainly because I already know that was gonna be a busy week, but now I'm worried more people will reschedule theirs to be there before SWGE opens to avoid the crowds. Then again, it could work in our favor and people postpone their trips to make the opening. Either way, I've gotta just keep on planning and not let it stress me too much. The good thing is we were originally scheduled to be at DW in September sp this is another plus for having to change my dates to August.

Yeah, it could go either way. I kind of think the first week of August will be the calm before the storm, so you should be okay. I also saw that Star Wars land will open in phases, so maybe that will make the crowds fewer.

Our dates are August 20-26. We won't be changing, just hoping for the best.

17th through the 26th. I'm not too fussed. If i remember correctly (which is questionable) they didn't have any soft openings for TSL last year or AP previews like they did with Pandora. I'm hoping for the same with SW Land. It is what it is, those are our dates, and we will have a blast no matter what.

You can move your dates if there is availability. I don’t think you’ll have many issues your almost 2 weeks before and now people are saying there won’t be previews. I wouldn’t worry to much.

We also leave the 28th and I'm kinda bummed it will be opening so soon. I do feel it will affect the last few days of our trip as crowds build leading up to the 29th. It would be nice if they had a DVC/ap preview while I'm there though.

We’re scheduled to be there 8/18 - 8/27 and now I’m tempted to extend our stay 3 days so we can see the opening. I know it’s going to be a madhouse but I also can’t comprehend how we will be there so close to the opening and not see it. I can’t belive they are doing it so early!!

I can't believe it either....But with only half of it opening and no FP's I'll be happy waiting till our next trip...LOL

Lol I’ve already told myself if we do stay for it don’t even expect to get on the ride....I have to mentally prepare myself that this would just be for looking around purposes only.

On the TA site, Disney said no previews for DLR but they are still evaluating for WDW.
