Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

I'm having such a hard time deciding between AKL CL and Poly GV CL! I want to stay at both, but it's a 3 night stay, so not good for a split stay.

What I like about AKL:
- the Savannah view (it's just so different than what you can see from a room in most places)
- breakfast and appetizer offerings seem heartier and very vegetarian-friendly. Poly's seem a little skimpy (is that a fair assessment)?
- restaurants and lounges on site and their menus are some of our favorites for food, ambiance and wine!
- bus service is better than most resorts, with only sharing between Kidani and Jambo
- haven't stayed here since 2016 and our last trip was during Matthew, so we need a 'do-over"

What I like about Poly:
- bedding. With the extra day bed, kids don't have to share a bed (this is usually a sore point)
- CL rooms very close to quiet pool
- CL lounge has a nice view
- trader Sam's
- haven't stayed here since 2015

We were at AKL during Matthew too!! It was my 40th birthday trip, and it was memorable! We were scheduled to sail on the Dream after a few nights at AKL, but obviously that was cancelled, so we were so fortunate that we were able to extend our stay at AKL before moving to the BWI. It was not at all the trip we planned, but it was a lot of fun. We met some fantastic people, drank wine, and had many laughs. Enjoy your trip!

Maybe decide based on what your plans are? I like Poly for a lot of MK and Epcot time. I like AKL for a lot of resort time.

For what it's worth, I do love both resorts, and I agree 100% with everything you posted. A killer for us at AKL is not having that daybed to spread out for sleep. We do want to stay there again, but I'd either have to get a really great deal on a suite or else we'd have to pack an air mattress.

One thing to consider, I don't know how likely it is to get them but they do have Bunk Beds available at AKL CL. Or did. DGD and I got one 2 summers ago. CL is only by request.
That may be even better than a daybed, depending on the kid

We got on the elevator after a couple and they had pushed floor 5. My husband scanned his band for 6. Well we got to floor 5 and the couple stayed on. They got off of the elevator on 6 went right - realized there was nothing to the right then followed us to the lounge. They looked at the food. It was around lunch so there was soup, hummus, etc. the man called the female over and they both made a couple of plates. Ate the. Made a couple more plates of food. Then they grabbed a couple of beverages, left their empty plates and glasses on the table and left. Only the gentleman had on a magic band the woman did not. If they had been in club level then why did they push floor 5 and wait until husband scanned his band for 6? Husband said if they got beer or wine then he was letting host know they piggy backed us. Edit to add this is AKL

Sorry but I like to call people out like this....because it’s ridiculous....I once told a cm at YC (I know) hey they were having MB issues on the elevator, sure enough it didn’t work for a reason..........:wave2:.......bye bye!!!

Nothing wrong with expressing a concern to a CM.
That said, last time we were at YC CL a couple was concerned about me. :-)

They had already selected 5th just as I walked into the elevator. I didn't get right away why they were so interested in me selecting a floor. I just said, "I'm set, thanks."
When we arrived at the 5th floor, they turned my way and explained to me that this floor is CL. I replied, "Yea, I know. Our room is on this floor."
That was the end of it, but it was sorta funny.:D

It’s somewhat easy to spot a fake there. If they were really having MB issues don’t you think they would walk around a couple of corners to the front desk.....:confused3

I get right to the point....I was just being super helpful......

Thanks!

For Ds I got FOP, for dh SDD and for DD, wait for it! I finally got the CG brunch(After trying in Feb we really wanted and finally found a cancel). Let’s hope with the guys with us we don’t have quite so many champagnes this time. The menu there is great for all of us and should make for some fun memories.

Was it the 8/18 reservation that popped up at 4:45 EST this morning??

Well, next time don't forget to wear your Rolex and Gucci loafers!

Hi, not sure if you got a response yet or not. From my experience, I would not say the menu changes seasonally, but it has had subtle changes/shifts here and there (mainly meaning evening apps when I say this). I had a few Poly CL stays last year and the specific evening apps were all relatively different. Variations on a similar theme, but not always exactly the same.

Here’s a trip report from Dec/Jan that has some food pics, for reference: Poly CL - NYE 2018

I would not really describe Poly’s food offerings as sushi-heavy. I seem to recall something along the lines of a California roll piece being on the rotation last time I was there. A bit sushi-lite, if you will, and it was just one night. There are definitely seafood and Polynesian influences to the offerings/flavors though.

If DD needs a real sushi fix, the Kona Island sushi bar is relatively good, in my opinion.

Anyway - hope that helps!

Thanks Definitely a good idea we love Kona Cafe

Hi, I'm taking my family for our first CL stay this August. We haven't had any contact from DSS and I'm wondering if there's any value in contacting them. We've got our ADRs set and don't need help planning our itineraries.... is there anything else they can really do for me? Mostly I'm just in this for the theme park view and 'free' beer all week, but I don't want to miss any extras we might be able to score on what might be our only ever CL stay. Thanks for any feedback!

The only thing I can think of is if you want to buy Club Level FastPasses, they can't be purchased online.
