Canadian Buffoon's Semi-EPIC Vacation - 10/29 - Link to new TR!

That happened a few times. The worst is when you're near the score and you have no idea what a specific target is worth, so "do I shoot it or not". I've got one picture where I had (527000 I think on one side and 999999 on the other). The reason was I went over on the one side and said to heck with it and just got the GH.

Punny!

Interesting. I didn't know there was a thou must playeth Candian law.

If you're a MASH fan (I am too)...take a look here https://www.directexpose.com/mash-trivia-quiz/

I knew some of those...didn't know Rush, BTO, Steppenwolf and Loverboy were Canadian. As I type that, seems as I remember hearing/reading Geddy Lee was Canadian.

Not rock, but I knew Celine Dion also.
And Michael Bublé, Tommy Chong, Leonard Cohen, Nelly Furtado, Diana Krall, KD Lang......

Love bugs were horrible at Universal too, yuck. Had to be careful where you sat on the water taxi, squished bugs everywhere. But at least they left my food alone!
Great pics of OKW. I’ve always wanted to eat at Olivia’s but one of those things I just never got around to yet.

Honestly... I take my eyes off this TR (or any TRs of yours) for five seconds and I'm automatically behind like 87 pages! :rotfl:

You're really not missing much...
Except feeling sick.
And I could really do without that!

That's being held in Corning, NY
this year!
See? Things. Already. Shaken.

One must have the proper
locomotion with the correct
libation.
Finally. Someone speaking my language. :thumbsup2

I like that bit, too.
Hoping the update
is a good one. :scared:
Me too! I love seeing new and fun things at Disney, but sometimes I'm just like "can you just leave things alone for a minute?!" I'm still bracing myself for all the other Epcot change-ups coming... :scared1:

Yep.
Just.... ew.

But at least they left my food alone!
Elle can't say the same!
Great pics of OKW.
Thanks! :)

I don't know if I'd go too far
out of my way to go...
But I would go again.

Well, to be fair... it's only on
page 26 right now.

(But don't blink. That'll change.)
And I could really do without that!
See? Things. Already. Shaken.
::yes::
Finally. Someone speaking my language. :thumbsup2
Indubitably.

Hold onto your hats, folks.
It's gonna be a wild ride.

And Michael Bublé, Tommy Chong, Leonard Cohen, Nelly Furtado, Diana Krall, KD Lang......
Who? Tommy Chong as in Cheech & Chong, Who?, Who?, Who?, know of KD Lang, but not a big country fan. I like some, it's just not my favorite genre.

Only 87 pages? You're doing pretty good then. :lmao:

And I could really do without that!
I think that's a true statement for any of us (especially on vacation).

Me too! I love seeing new and fun things at Disney, but sometimes I'm just like "can you just leave things alone for a minute?!" I'm still bracing myself for all the other Epcot change-ups coming... :scared1:
I was just going through my head all the changes I can think of and I guess I'm just a "Get off my lawn" grumpy old man...
Figment - like the original
Soarin' - like the original
TT - like both. Aside from the "heat" room in the summer time, I think I liked the original better.
Illuminations - Still waiting to see. It never was one of my favorite night shows, but the nostalgia side of me is a bit sad seeing it going away. I hope the replacement isn't a ton of projections like HEA...not a fan.

I'll spare you all the boring details for all the other parks, but a few...miss Mr Toad's wild ride, 20,000 leagues under the sea, It will ALWAYS be WEDway for me, the redhead, the great movie ride, the stunt show. Oh, it will always be DTD for me also. On the other hand, a lot of things have been added since 1971. WOW!!! Just pulled up a map of 1971 MK and it's amazing HOW much it's changed.

Shania Twain, Joni Mitchell,
Gordon Lightfoot, Bruce Cockburn...
Shania Twain - knew that, liked a lot of her stuff and it didn't hurt she was gorgeous.
Joni Mitchell - did not know
Godon Lightfoot - knew, but had forgotten
Bruce Cockburn - name sounds familiar, but will have to look up online.

Playing catch up AGAIN.

Besides, it's almost worth
going, just for the queue alone.

I think that's the best part of the attraction!

"This is the one that pokes
you in the back, right?"

I learned very quickly exactly where that poke is and just lean forward when it happens. I've been on the receiving end of the more painful pokes in the past and don't want to experience that again.

We sashayed over towards EE,

Totally missed that one on the last trip and I'm a little sad to say I didn't really miss it. Anymore it's just painful and nauseating for me.

She quickly stooped, picked up a small
Hot Wheels car and handed it
to the little boy, who immediately
stopped crying.

Ah, what a great story!

Once we were safely mounted on
our respective simulated Ikrans,
the woman beside Elle says:
"Yeah. No."

My brother didn't even make it on to the bike, just kept walking by. The pre-show warnings scared him too much. At least we used a FP and didn't wait too long.

A few lackluster shots from what is possibly
one o
f the best shows on property.

Fixed it for you. ::yes::

This led to her dubbing the place
as "Yuck and Yeti".
She still calls it that.

That's too bad. I've eaten there twice and other than the unfortunate incident where the waitress poured ice tea all over my Mom, we loved our meals.

Did you see it
in this chapter?

Yep. Marvin has great taste in Disney shows.

At 8:07, two minutes after we arrived,
an empty Epcot bus pulled up.

Nice!

I let Elle design our car.
Of course she chose pink.

I think it's a rule that if a girl (or lady or woman) is designing a car it must be pink or purple.

I got my phone ready
(I left the big camera at
the hotel, today.)
and readied myself for
the exact moment when
they'd come roaring over
the ball towards me!!!

Whoops! Luckily we had the most awesome VIP guide to lead us to the right spot.

Still makes for an interesting
photo, I suppose.

It is a very neat photo!

Mission Space.
Our first FP of the day.
And Elle insisted on riding Orange.

Haven't ridden Orange, never will. Way too much risk there for me with my motion sickness.

We got to The Land shortly after
our FP window for Soarin' opened up

I have a feeling we crossed paths a few times that morning without even knowing it.

When I was last there, it was
a bikini top.

I've seen the bikini top recently. I think they change it up depending who is Crush's friend at the moment.

Another change is that Dory
and Destiny (had to look that up)
are now part of the show.
I'm fairly sure that neither were
there in earlier iterations.

Dory has always been in the show as long as I've watched. Destiny is definitely a new addition considering she wasn't a character until Finding Dory.

And I'm totally digging
my Mr. T mohawk.

That's the first thing I noticed. :rotfl:

Did you see it
in this chapter?

Didn't know you sponsored cars too.

But look! I took a picture of
a Pluto topiary, just for @Pluto0809.

Yay! There's my guy. I'm pretty sure I didn't get a picture of him this trip so I'm glad to see yours.

I grabbed a Crispy Citrus Chicken
with Orange Aïoli and Baby Greens

That's the only thing I got at the food booths and I really enjoyed it.

So the garlic spread detracted instead
of enhanced.
Also... it was cold.

So glad I didn't try this, it sounds disgusting. It was on my list and I'm not sure why because I'm not the biggest fan of garlic. But I love getting grilled corn that's been dipped in butter at the North GA State Fair and I guess I was picturing something like that.

Did I mention yet, the love bugs?
They were everywhere!

:crazy2: Definitely did not enjoy that part of the trip. I've been a few other times in the spring and they were much worse this trip.

Passing Germany, we popped into
Karamell-Küche to see if anything
would tempt our taste buds.

Never had anything there but then I'm not a huge fan of caramel. I do like caramel popcorn a bit but would much rather have something else if I have a choice.

I love when there are signs
telling me what things are.

Me too! So much easier than trying to research and find things afterwards.

I reached out and gently nudged
a grain of sand with an outstretched finger.
The grain didn't budge.
The entire display was glued solid.

:rotfl:I bet you were a bit shocked and disappointed at the same time.

"Dad? Why did you take a picture
of Bambi's butt?"

Because animal butt shots are necessary for every TR of course.

We stopped in Canada
and watched O Canada,

I haven't seen that one since 2010. I keep meaning to go back but sometimes those theaters in the round can trigger my motion sickness.

Did you see it
in this chapter?

Took me twice through but I finally found your latest sponsorship of the F&G Festival.

I bet she appreciates that...she said on her TR she got almost no pictures at EPCOT.

I did! And yes, my picture taking on this trip was pretty abysmal.

You had no idea :faint: Dude!!! Loved their segment. They’re a classic.
Oh, I'm very familiar with them
and with their segments...
But I wasn't familiar with the
song with Geddy Lee.

Sheesh. I am Canadian too, ya know!

Playing catch up AGAIN.
Go, Ariana, go!!
I think that's the best part of the attraction!
::yes::
I wouldn't mind walking through it
and skipping the ride if necessary.

I learned very quickly exactly where that poke is and just lean forward when it happens. I've been on the receiving end of the more painful pokes in the past and don't want to experience that again.
I didn't find the poke painful at all.
Then again, maybe I was just sitting right.

Totally missed that one on the last trip and I'm a little sad to say I didn't really miss it. Anymore it's just painful and nauseating for me.
Painful?
Too jerky?

Ah, what a great story!
She's a great kid. :)
My brother didn't even make it on to the bike, just kept walking by. The pre-show warnings scared him too much. At least we used a FP and didn't wait too long.
Oh dear.
Well... I guess it's good
to know one's limitations.
Fixed it for you. ::yes::
 Thanks!
That's too bad. I've eaten there twice and other than the unfortunate incident where the waitress poured ice tea all over my Mom, we loved our meals.
Everyone says they've had
great meals there.
I'm going to assume that our
poor meals were a one-off

and try again sometime. :)
Yep. Marvin has great taste in Disney shows.
;)

As it should be. :snooty:
I think it's a rule that if a girl (or lady or woman) is designing a car it must be pink or purple.
I've noticed that!
Whoops! Luckily we had the most awesome VIP guide to lead us to the right spot.
I had a less than awesome CM.
It is a very neat photo!
Well... thanks!
Haven't ridden Orange, never will. Way too much risk there for me with my motion sickness.
No. Don't.
I don't get that sick...
But it gets to me, too.
I have a feeling we crossed paths a few times that morning without even knowing it.
Perhaps?
We were certainly in the
same park, riding the same

(some) rides.
I've seen the bikini top recently. I think they change it up depending who is Crush's friend at the moment.
Oh, you have! Huh.
Dory has always been in the show as long as I've watched. Destiny is definitely a new addition considering she wasn't a character until Finding Dory.
I don't remember Dory from
ten years ago...
But that doesn't mean she

wasn't there.
That's the first thing I noticed. :rotfl:
Didn't know you sponsored cars too.
I'm everywhere.
