In the search box do the flight (I did ATL-MCO), arrival must be MCO to add tickets. I did my reservation for 4 people because I couldn't figure out how to add more than one ticket. @Andysol discovered you can back into the reservation to add more tickets (but they would all need to be adult tix). Also I could add more tickets after the booking but I'm not sure you can use miles after the fact so you should secure all the tickets with the initial booking.
You will then land on the "Traveler information page" - back out of this and add the remaining tickets you want - one by one back and forth (sooo slow)

Huge caveat to this: You cannot do the "backspace" trick and it screws up the system royally. Takes the points but doesn't actually book anything.

DO NOT DO THIS.

Instead, just get a 7 day, 8 day, 9 day and 10 day. This, of course, is only applicable if you're planning on updating to APs.

ETA: One DP of this working fine. Maybe mine just glitched out.

Do you think this is even necessary if cancelling in 24hrs anyway?
I think with the uncertainty about how the miles are refunded it might be the way to go. She said I should get the insurance back but not sure about that.
OK, I bit the bullet and transferred our MR to Delta to take advantage of the 2x promo. My MR balance looks so sad and low now! LOL I am now waiting for the points to show up in my SM account (I was hoping it would be immediate!).

I have 4x 7-day base tickets so even if we can't upgrade to DVC AP we will still have tickets for our trip and a cheap flight/hotel package for $256. The insurance is $148, so we will have to eat that cost.

Oh good to know! Also you could just book the number of tickets you needed and would just gets higher value voucher if your ok with that (I was at double value still a good redemption). The insurance is a little higher though

I’m so jealous of your $4,000 in one trip!! I wish SO would play along. Sorry the cashier was rude.
I can’t even send my DH to Jewel/Albertsons for a GC deal because he can’t be bothered to remember either my or his cell number (linked to the account)
I walked into Staples yesterday....and walked right out...the line was to the back of the store with everyone getting their kids back to school supplies
I guess most suburban schools here started a few weeks ago. No one in Staples really. I got $600 of VGCs on my CIP and was going to go back for more with another card but then I noticed the manager was at the register so I just left. No use tempting fate.

What dates did you use to get the flight/hotel package down to $256?

I think the Chase World of Hyatt card is rivaling the Amex Marriot/Bonvoyed free nights in how long can we wait to post your free night cert. It has been over 8 weeks from card anniversary and AF was posted on 8/1, still no free night. Just a heads up for anyone thinking about cancelling at a year and collecting their free night without a fee.
Wow. I have the “old” version of the Hyatt card. I’ve refused their paltry offers to upgrade to WOH so far. My award night just posted 8/31 and my AF posted 9/1. I opened the card 9/1/17. :confused3

Need some help to avoid getting Bonvoyed. I have 2 Marriott bookings made with “points advance” right now, both for the same dates. I also have 2 certs both of which will expire slightly before my bookings so I cannot apply them. I was hoping to wait until closer to my dates (next June) then call and have them extend the certs and apply them. Now I’m afraid even though I have booked rooms at standard points, since I haven’t used points yet I will be subject to the new peak pricing and not be able to use my certificates either. (I don’t plan on keeping both bookings, I’m just afraid to cancel one in case I get stuck somehow).
Does anyone understand Marriott’s plan well enough to advise me how to avoid getting Bonvoyed, or will I be ok since I already booked even though they are points advance reservations?

ETA: after watching videos and reviewing info on the Bonbon site, I think I understand. If I don’t pay with points now, I’ll likely face peak pricing. I think I need to apply points now, then call and get the certs extended and applied next year. I need about 4K more points but can transfer URs over. Was hoping to earn them but that will be too late.

Any recommendations for June and when to go to WDW? I have been in May and August but never June. Needs to be after June 4 but other than that I am open. @PolyRob didn’t you go last June?

I am all over the map with going to WDW in June but am going to book even if we have to cancel just because this deal with Delta is so good. I used DH’s miles to pay for our spring break trip but I have another 170k SkyMiles in my account still. I just don’t want to pass this up...for our October trip I am still smarting for the 220,000 miles I had to burn to get us all there. I also have my MR’s but am want to avoid transferring those for now.

I wanted to book July when there is a state holiday (so wouldn’t have to use a work vacation day) but I said something about it to D8 and D11 about going next July and they were upset at the thought of missing Grandma’s holiday/BBQ party. So June I guess. Cute and big props but to Grandma but a little annoying for vacation planning. :)

I have DVC but don’t want to use the points since I have an October UY. Any idea when room rates might be a little better?

Another vote for Le Cellier! One of my favorite Epcot meals.

If price is the thing driving you away, Garden Grill dinner will probably be more expensive per person than one steak at Le Cellier. I would personally say Le Cellier tops that list for quality and taste of food, but the other restaurants are more of an "experience." If you find you are dining at WDW a lot with your AP, you may want to look into Tables in Wonderland. I can make up the fee in less than a week when visiting. It also works on alcohol, gives you free valet at the resorts, and you can pay for it with a Disney gift card!
We ended up going with garden grill. I’ve been wanting to eat there and I’m excited to meet chip and dale!

I’ve heard people talk about tables in wonderland but I’ve never looked into it. I’ll have to now!

I have done July in 2017 and 2018 and then June in 2019 only because of the DAH schedule and room availability was great! The crowds didn't really seem that different. June this year was honestly the hottest out of all three trips!

I originally booked a bounceback during my December 2018 stay for July 2019 that I was able to modify to June 2019. That particular bounceback came out on something like 10/31/18 last year so I JUST missed it in October. Sometimes it is released mid-October for room only so fingers crossed you can get it sooner than later. I always like to put a few bouncebacks on my account because you can always move them around to different resorts and dates that fall within the promo if nothing else better comes up when you are home. I ended up splitting with an AP rate and it worked out well. The AP rates for June were released in early January, but I didn't actually confirm I was going until I returned form my April trip.

Did you try this and not get the tickets? I have screenshot and emailed confirmation of my package, which includes 4x 7-day flexible date base tickets (exp 12/31/20) and they took my points/cash payment. Now I am worried!!!

What dates did you use to get the flight/hotel package down to $256?
To clarify, I only booked flight/hotel for myself, not all 4 of us, and bought the insurance so I can cancel the hotel/flight and use the voucher at a later date

EDITED: this is causing problems and I don't recommend booking travel for 1 amd multiple WDW tickets.
