Isn't it great when a plan comes together!I think this might be the winner.

My beloved Cookie will be 7 at the end of this month and she has a congenital heart condition which gave her a life expectancy of 2-6 years so...she's past elderly, in a way. That said, I spend a lot of quality time with her when I'm home and when I'm gone, if something sad happened, I know we spent wonderful times together. Otherwise I'd never leave the house, lol.

I wouldn't even know when to board on another airline lol Give me my B group and 2 free bags any day lolWhen I have to fly other airlines all the people milling about in front of the gate agent ready to POUNCE when their group is called, make me nervous. Then if I'm in an earlier group than them they all judge me with their eyes.
First up to board we have Super Mega Elite Platinum. Next up we have Mega Elite Platinum and all Uniformed Military Personnel. Next we up we have Elite Platinum and people who have shaken the hand of the Prime Minister of Sweden. I always enjoy laughing at all the "elite" groups too obviously, haha!
You don't want to call in for a retention offer? Word is Amex has been offering a lot of Platinum cardmembers 50k MR or $500 statement credit with no spend requirement to keep the card another year.
You'd probably be in boarding group 7 - which you'd think would come after 6 but it doesn't, there's 4 other elite groups in between 6 and 7.... (I kid...I kid...or do I???)I wouldn't even know when to board on another airline lol Give me my B group and 2 free bags any day lol
I do realize if I'm going to ever visit another country I'm going to have to come to terms with this. Why SW just fly everywhere?!
I'm the same way when I fly non-SW carriers. "I have to pay for WHAT? Oxygen is extra now???"That's how I am with every other airline.
I've only flown non-SW one time, many many years ago. FIL purchased my flight to Great Lakes to see dh graduate boot camp. First flight, all alone because he and BIL were on a different flight.
This happened with DD9 a canceled her first, canceled me, then rebooked me first and then hergosh, I wish I could do this. I already changed from the 4k points flights Monday to the 12k point flights Sunday pm. There are 2500 point flights though, so if I could do the trick I could save more. But it is just DH and DS9 and they are linked since he is an unaccompanied minor. So in order to make changes I have to call. This is one time I wish I hadn't done separate reservations.
WOW! I may honestly try this when I renew. My photo is absolutely disgusting and honestly looks nothing like me
I agree to it and it has me link the confirmation number of the adult traveling too.@SouthFayetteFan or others- How do you through booking your daughter separately and avoid the unaccompanied minor message or can you just get through it?
LOL, hard no. Lump WN in with baseball, grits and mini vans for things I just can't.... Don't worry y'all I'm headed to the shun corner now...
I never got time yesterday to look at Delta packages so I'm figuring out the final tweaks now so I can get this booked later.
@kidsfirsttrip Do I have this right, if I want to use the travel voucher for Dec 12-16, I need to book for another 4 nights somewhere around there so that pricing would be similar? If I put in Dec 11-15, there are 15 Disney resorts but half that number show up for Dec 12-16. Pricing is slightly different too, of course.
My plan is book 1 person on a flight from ALT-MCO and a wdw room. Add the travel insurance. Cancel the booking. Then use the travel voucher to rebook the resort. Question is how long til we get the vouchers? If that has been answered already, I apologize. Last two days have been too busy to read here much I saw chatter about one week but wasn't sure if that was a guess or confirmed somewhere.

And just like that, my last baby is a teenager. ❤ She actually turns 13 tomorrow. And also one of my big issues with planning vacations right now. Does anyone else stop traveling when you have an elderly pet? She doesn’t get around very well, so I don’t want to board her. I have no family close by to watch. Our last few pet sitters have gone off to college. I honestly thought she was not going to make it for us to get back from Yellowstone in July, I was having horrible guilt feelings for thinking DD was going to have to deal with it by herself while we were gone. But she is doing much better now. Sometimes feeling too well, I let her out yesterday and heard my neighbor say Good morning Cujo after she barked her head off at him. She is a cranky old lady, and doesn’t really like new people so I would not feel comfortable leaving her with just anyone.
When you get a retention offer, is waiving the annual fee part of the deal? Thanks

Mine is horrible, too. Got off a cruise once, guy looked at my photo, said, “you’re all set, sir” , then get all flustered when he actually looked at me and saw I am most definitely a female.
I just don’t photograph well. We all know how DMV license pictures are usually truly awful, right? Mine was so bad, the photographer looked at it and said, “Oh, no. Let’s take that one again.” They NEVER do that.
Thank you soooo much for this! I wish I would have taken time to explore the last round.I agree with @palhockeymomof2 that we aren't openly posting this on the thread here. It's a somewhat complicated loophole that we probably don't want out in the open. I just posted a mini guide on DISchurners here:
I tried my best to type some instructions but it's a hard concept to put into words. I sort of stumbled on it one night due to my knowledge of the intricacies of the Southwest booking system. I'm not sure if any others figured it out on their own or elsewhere or if they just heard me mention it.
Yes, I tried to make a change to DH and it wouldn't let me. Said I have to call due to the minor traveling with him. Then I tried to change DS's first and got the same message. Are you sure they're linked? Once you book a flight I've found they'll let you change them however you want. That link seems to be a one-time check when you book the flight.
Also, if you have a ton of extra points, you could just book new ones using your points and then cancel the old and get those points back...
If you need more 1:1 discussion than this (perhaps I'm missing something) feel free to send me a PM.
Oh my goodness - YES that's precisely what it feels like!!!Did you see this?
