Off to Uni Orlando in the AM folks - great send off tonight with a 52-0 victory in the 1st round! And even when I get back we'll just be 3 days away from our 2nd round game so that will be exciting! I love this time of year High School Playoff Football!!

Have a great weekend everybody!

Because of bad weather last night, Trick-or-Treating was postponed to tonight. We don't usually get many kids - no sidewalks, no streetlights, about half the people don't turn on their lights and pass out candy - but I only had 10 total. Even my kids when they were big enough would go to their friends' neighborhoods instead of ours. So now I have 20 full size candy bars to eat!

Happy birthday! No sympathy here. My 30's were great, 40's were great too, I'm 3/4 of the way through my 50's and no complaints. I expect my 60's will be fabulous.
My grandma will be 94 this year on Christmas. She still goes to the Y to workout, volunteers at the hospital gift shop, eats brunch at her favorite restaurant in town on Sundays, and stays social. She’s what I aspire to be like.

Has anyone cancelled a Disney room booked with AA points? I have a room booked for one night December 7th at GF. I would be okay to modify if I could to another resort. Or to a different date (we go again in March). If needed I can keep it but was thinking I should at least explore options.

I just have the spg biz and I was able to get Shoprunner. Though I ended up not using it because it upped the price when I added it. i think that was on ebags.
I find ebags ups the price when other discounts apply. Nor at least it did for me when I tried to use ebates.

I closed my personal plat. I feel a little sad but not as sad as I would if I were paying the $550 AF lol. I waited til Nov 1 though to cancel so my Nov Uber credit posted 😆
You inspired me, I just closed my Delta Gold. Hoping it's not a step in the wrong direction

This is my Memaw! Except she is 91. She volunteers on Wed and Thurs for 6-8 hours each day at the hospital. She drives other old ladies, who are like late 70's/early 80's around to their doc appts and to get groceries cause they are not able. She still grocery shops for herself, lives in her house, drives a couple hours each way to visit family, goes out to eat, etc. The woman was mowing her own lawn (and it's a big lawn) until about 7-8 years ago when my uncle insisted her 4 kids split the cost of lawn care for her. She does not work out at all (never has) but she's quite active. I hope to be like that too!

I only have had one Delta card and I closed it when the AF hit after 1 year. I never fly Delta and have a really, really , really hard time using Delta miles. In fact, I'm still sitting on a pile of them with no prospect in site of using. I remember where you live but not sure if you are a Delta hostage or not.

I did like the Amex plat card but not for $550 a year. Nothing they could throw at me made that worth it.

I downgraded my Disney from Premier to regular this summer. Yesterday I got the email to upgrade to the Premier for a $100 statement credit. Is that the deal people had a couple months ago? Or was it a $200 credit? @PolyRob I think you upgraded...
That was the same offer I took! Made $51 lol. Better than just $1 when Chase offered the $50 upgrade credit LOL

My dh got the offer again too. He got it last time but we didn't do it. I have a client who keeps going back and forth on if she wants to open a Disney visa lol. So, we've kept dh's as the no fee since it has a better offer. But thinking this client is going to drag her feet forever so I might as well take the upgrade offer.

So uhhhh if your married sister is coming in from Philly and planning to hit the parks that morning before you take-off from Pittsburgh...and you put the tickets in your last name, apparently you have a PROBLEM!

:badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc:

Now on hold for going on 20 minutes with Chase trying to figure out what to do here. It's not cancel-able but had I known this I would have booked 6 tickets in my name and 2 tickets separately in her name. This is exactly what I wanted to do at midnight tonight... I called right away because I figured if anything could be done it's best to hit it immediately.

I guess my backup plan would be to order her a CIP employee card with her former last name on it and have her try to use that pick them up BUT she won't have an ID that matches that if any issue comes up.... I could also just give her a credit card with my name on it and she could attempt to use that.
Excellent news friends! My sister has just successfully picked up our Universal tickets from the lobby of Cabana Bay at midnight this evening!!

She used the Chase UR confirmation and I gave her one of my sock drawered Chase cards to take with her and she inserted that. Never had to talk to a human and now no more stress over Uni tickets!!! 😁

EDIT: and yes I did search to quote my post on this issue from 3 Months ago because it seemed thorough and the right thing to do!! 🤣

Glad it all worked out for her! I am sure this is a weight lifted off of you!

My dad does most of her yard work but I know not that long ago she was pulling weeds or something. She lives in the country with my aunt and was home alone. She fell in the grass and couldn’t get back up so the woman freaking ROLLED across her yard (it’s not a small yard) and used her railing to get back up. This was this year so she was 93! She had surgery on both of her knees a few years ago and last year slipped in a parking lot from ice. She’s a brave woman
