Let's take a break from the current news focus and think about the good things in life :)

We've never stayed at an MK or EP area resort and next trip we're doing both. So excited!

We're also trying DxDDP for 2 nights (3 Poly DVC days). I'm starting to look at our dining options, especially those with easy access from our resort and yummy appetizers. Suggestions are very welcome :sunny:

BCV is our resort for the last 6 nights. We'd love to try both resort pools even though the trip is in January when temps can be anywhere 40-85f. Have any of you swam at the Volcano pool or Stormalong Bay in January, and how was it?

Sounds awesome! We love the animals too. It's such a breath of fresh air to return from the hectic parks back to such a beautiful serene resort :) How old is your son?

We're really excited for our first CL stay! This is not something that we ever thought would be in our budget so when the AP discounts came out, we were shocked to see how doable it was. The Poly is very much "home" to us so it will be wonderful to experience another side to it. We wanted more resort time anyway on this trip so it works out great.

This will also be my GF's first time to Galaxy's Edge since she was not able to come with me on my November weekend trip. For all the boarding group madness we are absolutely looking forward to ROTR and just plain being there for May the 4th, among all the other geeks! We are also really excited for MMRR since we both love the new Mickey shorts. In general this is going to be a trip for a lot of "firsts", for both of us, and it's my birthday celebration to boot so we can't wait. Only 60 days away!

That ALL sounds fantastic! So much to celebrate :dogdance:

CL is one of those things I thought we'd never consider either. Then Gran Destino offered it at a price that made CL feel possible in the future. Savor every minute, CL must be wonderful at the Poly.

We’re going in September, and I am really excited to try the new Space Restaurant at Epcot. I know they keep pushing back the opening date, but surely by September it will be open. A close second would be staying at the Contemporary for our 20th wedding anniversary. We booked at Bay Lake view. I’m looking forward to watching the EWP from the balcony.

I have been to Typhoon Lagoon in December on a cooler day. We had a blast! The joint was empty, and they heat the water. We are from Colorado though, so we aren’t as fazed by cooler weather.

We did a big family trip in September, so I'm most excited that the next one is with just one sister. We travel the same, so I know we'll actually be able to stick to our plans and we won't be waiting on other people all the time.

Looking Forward to returning to our home resort BWV in November, after staying at the Poly this past September. While the Poly villas and resort were nice we prefer the BWV.

We will...I just hope we don't get spoiled! :crazy2:

Your trip sounds amazing too, you have the ideal split IMO. We actually thought about a couple of different splits (Poly/BC and even Poly/GF!) but my gf was adamant about staying at the Poly the whole time. I grew up staying at the Dolphin so the Crescent Lake resorts have a lot of nostalgia for me. Definitely check out Crew's Cup at the YC, I had a burger there in November that was the best I've had on property and one of my top burgers period, which says a lot considering we have no shortage of amazing burger places at home. They also have prime rib sliders that are to die for.

That's what happens with WDW. Each trip becomes just a little more... until you work your way up to staying CL at the Poly, lol. Just like 'Let's try V&A next time' or 'Let's do that VIP tour next time'.

We love our beef. Thanks for the advice. Prime Rib Sliders look like a definite winner! Note made to hit YC for burgers & sliders.

Thanks! It's good to know other people are able to still enjoy it. We're not temperature wimps coming from the north but I remember one beach trip where it was unseasonably chilly and windy and we turned into wimps :) Hopefully we'll be OK with the heated water because we have to try those pools.

Oh Yes. Space220 is a must do. It better be open by Sept :) Enjoy!

I usually go just with my daughter, as my wife isn't a huge fan. This time, my wife is coming down halfway through the trip to surprise the kid. She's going to burst when she sees her mom show up out of the blue.

That is so sweet! I can just imagine how excited your daughter will be to 'share' WDW with Mommy and Daddy together.

We're staying at Kidani for the first time and are super excited about it!

I think we also booked a good mix of new to us restaurants as well as old favorites. My husband is glad he gets to do another California Grill brunch for Father's Day, I finally get to try Boma, and we even managed to snag a CRT breakfast, which we've never done (and my 21yo is the most hyped about it, ha!).

We are really looking foward to building our droids!!! Also, I recently realized that the Animation Academy (where you sketch a character with a Disney artist) has returned....now in Animal Kingdom! We loved doing this as HS so we're looking forward to doing a couple of sketches this time as well. Oh and also the WARM....we live in IL!

Looking forward to DD's first trip (okay, she went as an infant, but I don't think that really counts). Anyway, I first went to WDW in 8th grade, and my sons were in elementary school for their first trip.

This will be my first time going with someone who is old enough to know what's going on, and young enough to still believe in the magic. I can't wait for her to see the "real" Tinkerbell, princesses, and Mickey/Minnie!

1st trip in a long time it will be me and DH (Just had 30th anniversary). DD will come and go as she works down there, but most of the time it will be the 2 of us. We usually have extended family. Less than 2 months to go!
