*****Official April 2020 thread*****

If you cancel an on-site reservation, you will quickly see e-mail warnings about FP cancellation if you do not re-book another onsite reservation. There have been reports of this actually happening, but many reports of the FPs staying intact if you cancel within the 30 day window.

I have a Swan reservation for the middle of April so I have up to 5 days before to make a decision. My understanding is my park tickets cannot be refunded, but I can move them to another date (I have actually already done so). How far I can move them is unknown. If anyone has an familiarization with moving tickets with a specific start date, I would be interested in knowing.

Has anyone been checking FPs, ADRs, or resort availability to change things around as people cancel plans for April? I expected more movement based on what I was seeing on other threads but nothing is freeing up. Maybe it’s because I’m looking for 4/15-4/19 and we haven’t hit the 30 day window? Interested if anyone is traveling earlier in April and seeing things change. We are staying at All Star Sports and have terrible FPs so I’m especially looking for one of the refurbished All Stars to open up-or Pop-and definitely to score more Tier 1 FPs. A BOG breakfast rez would also be nice. (Note: I don’t want to be obnoxious about profiting from other people’s cancelled trips so please don’t take this question the wrong way!)
FPs haven't moved a bit. I'm trying to change some times out, so I've been looking. Particularly in DHS and Epcot, is where I can't move my FP times. As far as resorts, ours was once sold out during our stay and now has openings. Also, yes I am seeing some dining movement. I'm signed on to get dining alerts and was able to move in on a few changes. Our airfare changed and went down.

I’m looking for a storybook dining reservation and can’t get one. We want to change 1900 prk. Does any have any feedback??

Try the touring plans dining reservation finder if you have a touring plans account.

I have a BOG lunch for 4 people on 4/6 @ 12:35 that I am going to be cancelling if anyone wants to coordinate!

I was able to get a SDD at 2:45 on arrival day. I haven't looked at much more with FP+ but I really don't need to move or add anything else. We were lucky to already have gotten a MMRR and have FOP, FEA, 7DMT, SM, Splash etc etc. We also have some MEFP+ so nothing left but some cold beer :)

That's a time for SDD I also have that I'm trying to move! No luck yet.

New to the group, glad I found this!

We are going April 18-23, got our preferred FP (even managed to move our MMRR up from 6:05 to 3:15 yesterday, so it pays to obsess on the app lol)

One question, we are arriving late in the day on Saturday, the 18th. 3 out of the 4 of us are passholders (daughter was 2 for the first two trips, so wasn’t worth it). We booked MK FP late on the 18th (just in case, we will probably arrive at the Poly at 7:45), but are struggling with whether or not to buy a park ticket for our daughter. I saw that, historically, April at MK means 10 or 11 PM closing, but it’s currently listed as 9. Would they have changed it by now, or could it still change? Thank you!

I was able to just move my 7dmt fp from 5pm to 12:30 on 4/14 and i see a FOP at 630 on 4/16 sitting there if anyone wants it. Lots of Space mt availability too on 4/14

Anyone else in the same place with April trips planned where the kids have their countdown chains and are excited, but there is a very real possibility of cancelling or postponing? This is supposed to be a happy dance but it has not been happy at all with each passing day. Just feels like I can't get excited about it. I almost want to cancel just to avoid this feeling of dread. Sorry, venting I guess.

I refuse to worry until/unless there is something to worry about. Easier said than done for some, I know, and usually I am a big worrier, but I just don't have the energy to do it for this.

We are going April 9-13 and staying at the All-Star Music Family Suites for my youngest daughter's 16th birthday.

Yes, I'm feeling something similar. My kids don't know (surprise trip) and no real plan to cancel yet, but overall feeling so much dread. I don't necessarily feel parks will be closed down but as testing increases (which is a good thing, although alarmingly belated), more and more people will be diagnosed, including CMs, and there will be fewer staff at work there, some ride and restaurant shut downs, etc. I was so excited about our first trip there and now I feel like I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

need to start checking to see if I can move any of our FP+ to better time. Both MK days are fine but would like to try DHS and AK days

are you having problems because you are worried about getting sick or stressing over parks/airlines/hotels closing? I have zero concerns about getting sick. That's my personal opinion and i don't begrudge anyone for feeling different. I'm very excited about my trip (just not the 20 hour drive home :) ) though i am starting to worry about things out of my control such as park closing and our crazy governor shutting down travel, but not much because i believe in 4 weeks when nothing major is continuing to occur we'll be back to normal.

So getting sick just before being scheduled to leave is another possibility that I had not considered. Thanks. :) But no, more just the feeling that if we actually make it there it will feel like we are dodging bullets and mortar shells. Not literally but figuratively. We may not be in the risk group, but there is no joy in so many grandparents suffering and dying.

Just out of curiosity which are you more concerned with, yourselves getting sick or your kids? Everything that's been presented so far has seemed to indicate that those under 20 aren't really showing much in the way of impact from this disease. You have every right to your own concerns, as a parent of 2, I'm also keeping an eye out on this with them and me and my wife in mind, but right now i'm more concerned about my parents and father in law for our trip in April.

End of the day if you feel your concern is going to outweigh your potential excitement I'd say postpone your trip if possible to another time. It's sad to do after all that time preparing but if you think you aren't going to be able to enjoy yourself because of your own concerns it's likely not going to help you to really have the kind of enjoyment you might want out of the trip. Still your decision though.
