I now know a second person with it, and they believe that one of their family members (a child) may have had it as well. The adult tested positive. The son had a few days of mild symptoms, but was not tested.

Some happy news to report- besides a bit of lingering cough (which is normal for me after an illness), I am symptom free! I still feel very weak, but the aches and pains have gone, the chills too, and I haven't had a fever in days. My doctor says I can start the 7-Day-Symptom-Free tomorrow and rejoin my family for good next Saturday, and I can go downstairs now for short periods if I wear a mask.

I am very sorry to those of you going through COVID-19; it's awful. I hope you all are able to get better at home with your loved ones. For those who've lost someone you have my sincere prayers for your grief. I know how helpless this whole thing can make one feel, and to lose someone to this must be the worst.

This post deserves a big dance!!!! :dance3::dancer::dance3:

Found out yesterday that a second cousin is now in the hospital battling pneumonia and his corona-virus test is inconclusive. He was adopted with severe physical and mental disabilities and at the age of 24 in October 2019, was moved to a group home by his parents.
What was the first adult vacation of their marriage they took? To WDW, LOL.
Apparently, they returned just before the closing.

Given the state of his overall health I'm not sure what is worst.

So glad to hear you're on the mend. Did you lose your sense of taste and/or smell? I know you suffered so much with the fever and other symptoms.

Yes, I did-both taste and smell went. I've lost track of the days, without reading my older posts I want to say smell came back first, and then taste a few days later.

Was it like when you're all stuffed up and there was no taste/smell? Or was it more that things didn't taste the way they're supposed to taste?

It was just...nothing, in my case. I was never congested other than my allergies once in a while. Everything tasted like nothing and smelled like nothing. I remember sipping some chicken broth and my brain was telling me what it should taste like, but I might as well have been drinking hot water.

I’m so glad you came back to this thread to post again. I was following along to check on your progression through the illness and so happy when you started to feel better! I’m sorry that you had to suffer for so long. I wish you well, BlueStarryHat!

My SIL's mother who is in her 90s has the virus. She was in a rehabilitation facility when she contracted the virus. I haven't heard the status of her illness, but based on her age, I'm thinking this is not good. My DH's second cousin has a teenage daughter who tested positive.

My wife has it. She's starting to feel better. Still having difficulty breathing. I will say judging by the results, even though it's a small number of votes, I think that's why there is so many on both sides of the fence in regards to reopening the country.

As it turns out my cubicle-mate had it (younger guy, he got hit hard but is fine now). I don't know what that means for me but eventually I should probably get tested to see if I had it. My cousin has it now, picked it up from her husband, a FDNY firefighter who apparently did NOT have symptoms. Her son also has it and is also sick.
