I don't understand why some are getting upgraded and moved for free even when they change dates.

I haven't seen anyone post that they were able to get a free upgrade when moving dates. The free upgrade was only an option for those who kept their original stay.

I should have clarified or offered a regular resort. We were told even in December nothing but dvc which were all 1200-2500 dollar upgrades. I saw you were able to get CBR in November.

I truly hate all of the inconsistencies for everyone .

I was able to drop two nights from my original 7/1-8 CBR reservation. We were upgraded to a 1 BR at OKW and my balance was adjusted to reflect the dropped nights. This is before the parks open.

My dates were: 7/10/20-7/15/20
I am keeping my dates
My original resort was: Contemporary Garden View room
I originally booked with the free dining recovery.
I am not being moved
My cost increase/decrease is: no change
I made my original reservation myself
I was NOT contacted about my resort’s closure
There are 3 adults, 2 children (both Disney adults) , 0 under age 3 in my party

I called today, it was easy to get the 35% off, I was just on hold for less than 30 seconds and I was told I would not need to move.
Im curious if Contemporary will be fully open or if they’ll move us to BLT or the main building

So my TA called and spoke with a CM she knows well and trusts. The issue is some of the new people that were just hired or are helping with the flood of calls are booking resorts in error. They show in the system, but they have all been instructed not to book any resorts only dvc rooms. The CM said the ones that were booked in error will be called later and rebooked. Idk how true this is. Its what she was told. This was for all of 2020.

That's a pretty big oopsie. Guess we will see what happens.

That's what I'm hearing as well. Plus the fact e everyone is working from.home in the DRC it hard to get everyone on the same page. I worked for DRC and we had daily updates to read as we signed into the program.but not everyone does that.

The really crappy part is that we already had a November trip booked at a moderate resort and cancelled that stay today since we were able to secure Beach Club. I hope I don't live to regret that moderate cancellation if Disney tries to backtrack on today's offer.

As far behind as they are contacting customers the resorts may all be open by the time they find the mistake

I was NOT contacted about my resort’s closure
There are 4 adults, 0 children

The CM was great, we were flexible so he spent some time trying to find us the best place and time. Overall, I was only on hold for 1 minute.

I wanted to move to dates the park was open. We are coming from CA and didn't want to travel cross country if we could not go to the parks. I just asked for availability on the Monorail Loop in late July or early August. There were options at Bay Lake Tower or the Poly when I spoke to them.
