I would be livid and likely will still be even if at a monorail resort, the players are in SAB while we're closed out. Ugh.

the worst part is one trip could have been a split stay since YC opens while we are there but I don't' think Disney will let that happen with these resort moves

It was a pretty easy decision for me once I found out yacht and beach were closed to the public until 8/24. Our trip is 8/11-8/18. I think we’ll be happier and less likely to feel kicked out by being over at the poly. I’m thinking I’ll book YC for March.

we have two consecutive 22-28, 28-6. Second week was already modified to Poly by travel agency group booking. With school closures and potentially starting earlier, I really need the first week. On the resort change thread, numerous people are now reporting there are no more deluxe resorts with availbility in July and August. I will be truly upset to go from YC CL to who knows what option. Wonder if disney is really unprepared for resort demand.

Dee-Can you remove us from the BOG list for our trip 8/30/20? We changed our dates when all the Covid craziness started and had to change resorts to get the deal for the new time frame. Was holding out in case we could make a change but at this point we'll stick with CSR and be happy we could get park reservations!

Well, I was changed to CR Tower Lake View. It is hard to let YC go, but CR does have a place in my heart. It was the first Disney hotel I ever stayed at back in the 70s (showing my age). It was my Dad's favorite and he sadly passed away last month.

So sorry for your loss... my husband and I both lost our moms within 6 months of each other. My mom passed away in the fall and his mom at the beginning of April. I think that's why he is excited to finally getting to go to CR. He was just telling our kids all about his time at CR with his parents and how he fell asleep on the ground in front of one of the entrances. Good memories...

Waiting to see if any info comes out about SAB being open come September - it doesn't seem like we'll be getting moved from YC since it's supposed to be open come August 24th so very curious if that means the full property, or if not if we'll still have access to the BWI feature pool, or if we'll be stuck with just the quiet pools. This is the last detail to figure out now that dates have been confirmed and park reservations made!

Same here. If SAB reopens on 8/24, it seals the deal for us staying at YC. I just hope we know sooner rather than later. It was such a relief to see that YC would be open by our trip! Hoping the Skyliners are running again by Labor Day, too!

Make sure to call. They are not moving people any more. If you don’t tell them you are coming, they now cancel within 7 days of check in.

yes this. But be prepared to spend a ton if time on hold. From what I’ve been reading, tell them that you do not want to make any changes. They should connect you to Guest Services.

Sadly, I’m off the BOG list for August. Our YC GV is now a 1bdrm villa at BWV.

Initial offer from GS was a “deluxe studio” at BCV, but with no SAB the queen bed in a studio wasn’t going to cut it for DH. Expressed a desire to stay somewhere within walking distance of at least one park, and the CM came up with a standard 1 bedroom villa at BWV. Probably could have held out for something else, but at that point I was just so happy to be speaking to a human instead of listening to the hold music loop it didn’t occur to me. ;-) Keeping same price, so relatively happy with how it turned out.

Am I the only one who considers the Scary Clown a decent consolation? If SAB isn't open for our trip but we're allowed to use the Luna Park pool I think I'd actually be pretty excited to experience it.

I would have taken a 1 br villa at BWV over the deluxe studio at BCV, too. I love staying in a villa and would be tempted to try and get one if Disney opens the remainder of 2020 for new reservations.

Rescheduled our July 2020 trip to January 29-February 2, 2021 This morning. YC GV, because of course, that’s the best. ;-) SAB has got to be open by then.

Now if only some of these trips would actually get to take place...

Hi Dee! While you are making changes to the BOG list, can you change me as well? We were supposed to be at GF from 9/5 - 9/9 and then move to BC until 9/19. Since the NBA will be at GF there they put us in a BC Studio for those dates. So 9-5 - 9/19 at BC

We had to cancel our trip for this August . Hopefully we will be back next summer.
