Disney's BOARDWALK INN Information & Questions

So sadly it looks like the friendship boats won’t be ruining sept 12-20. We’ll be at BWV preferred/pool view. I’ll be pushing hubby’s wheelchair. So I know we have to walk to Epcot. Now... DHS... will it be a shorter walk to Dhs from the villas or to the skyliner ( which is right outside the international gateway entrance to Epcot). I know walking will be quicker but I’m 63 and not as much stamina as I used to have. And walking to the skyliner, then transferring at CBR... big time sucker. But which walk is shorter. ? To DHS or the skyliner? ( we requested village green it who knows? ). I know cutting through the Luna pool will be shorter sigh. Village green is right by the boat dock

The walk to the Skyliner will be shorter and has much more shade from the lovely trees. Yes it will take longer but I would start with the International Gateway Skyliner option during the morning / afternoon periods and consider the walk from HS possibly for an evening option.

The walkway to HS has very little shade other then when it goes under East Buena Vista Dr. it is about 3/4ths of a mile or about 20 minutes at a slower pace while assisting your husband.

For the Epcot Internationl Gateway Skyliner station from the elevators at BWV is it about 1/3rd of a mile or ~11 minutes at a slower pace while assisting your husband.

Since the reopening what should I expect as far as the amenties related to the kitchenette in a Deluxe Studio?
For example: Paper plates/bowls and cups? Coffee/filters. Can you get more? Fee? or should I just pack extra to bring?

Are you a Cash customer or staying as a DVC member or renting DVC points?

As a Cash customer you get free replacements of consumables but currently with the social distancing measures in place you would not get daily replacements but you may call or use MDE to chat with a CM to request replenishments.

You will have either a 4-6 cup or 10-12 cup Mr Coffee style coffee maker. If you get the smaller and want the bigger, just call Housekeeping. You'll get a pouch or two of the prefiltered Joffrey's coffee and if you need more, just ask Housekeeping. If you prefer your own coffee, you will need to provide your own coffee filters. You might have tiny single use packets of sugar and creamer, but if you want more, you might just want to bring your own. You'll have paper plates and bowls, plus plastic flatware. Probably real mugs and real glasses, but also probably paper cups for coffee. Just call Housekeeping if you need more. There should be small bottle of Eco dish detergent. You need your own salt, pepper, other condiments if you use them.

I'll probably ask this question again closer to the time we are leaving just to make sure but I'm curious now lol. On the villas side what are they doing as far as the shampoo, conditioner etc.? Small bottles right now or larger bottles in the shower? What all do they leave you? I know some DVC's even get toothbrushes and toothpaste.

what DVC has toothbrush and toothpaste in the room? Not something I have seen at BCV, BWV, AKL Jambo or CCV.

There were a couple I saw. I'm forgetting the one but I know the other one was CCVC. I was watching a vlog and they showed it when they did the tour of the room.

Not any DVC I've stayed in has provided toothbrushes or toothpaste. We've owned DVC since 1997 and made 55 trips. Some of the DVC resorts have the wall mounted bottles and some still have the individual bottles.

I saw a couple of vlogs where they showed them in the bathroom. One was in the CCVC. Maybe only in the more expensive rooms? Or maybe they just put them in there knowing there was gonna be a vlog. My main question though is wondering if BWV currently has the mounted bottles or individual bottles.
