Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

No DIRECT buses.

From POP,you take a bus to DAK and then transfer to a BB bus at DAK.

Oof, that sounds like a pain. Might be easier to Uber- I didn't know that. How long would the busses usually take, does anyone know? We want to be at BB when they open when we go in June.

We've used the 2 buses process many times (pre-Covid) and it worked well. Took the bus to AK and almost every single time the BB bus was waiting. As always, actual travel time will vary depending on wait at Pop and wait at AK.

If we were going now we would take the AK-BB bus, arriving at the AK bus stop at Pop probably 60-75 mins before BB park opening. (Not using my normal '90 mins before park opening time due to: AK already being open so buses running and also unlike the other parks, BB does not open 45 mins before official park opening.)

You still have to check in with the guard at the gate. I was at Pop in August and received the room ready text while I was driving down. I tried to go through the returning guests gate thinking it would be faster but it wouldn’t open. The guard said that gate isn’t active until you open your room door.

Yup. They really need better signage out front to make that clear, I went to the wrong one last time and had to back out. Luckily there was nobody else around.

Yes.

Although it's best to keep in mind that Pop rooms are entered from a common, external walkway. Unless you are standing at your window, it's not necessarily easy to see the lake from many rooms due to walkway, foliage and angle to water. Some views are better than others but all have the walkway, railing and often foliage to consider.

I just got a text from Disney saying that if my estimated arrival time has changed to update it via Online Check-In. Our flights have changed and I cannot find where to update the information in MDE. Does anyone know?

I have always filled in this form and sent in an updated version when things changed. Disney's Magical Express.

I had the same email and although my flight arrives at 9:10 tomorrow, I didn't arrange for early check-in due to the possibility that it would make it less likely to get a room in my preferred area of the resort. I'll just check my luggage and head to the park.

If I want to catch the skyliner to CBR to HS then take boat to Boardwalk and walk to Trattoria al Forno by 9:20, what time should I get in line for skyliner ? (It will be a Sunday with HS opening at 9).

The general rule of thumb is to allow 90 mins to get to a dining reservation. I would recommend being at the Pop Skyliner station no later than 7:45 and possibly as early as 7:30 as you will be travelling during peak business for DHS park opening.

Just to add... If you’re able to, sometimes walking from HS to the Boardwalk is quicker than the boat.

I would take the skyliner to the Epcot station and walk from there, that will be the fastest and easiest IMO.

If it’s for breakfast, I don’t think the skyliner Epcot line runs until about an hour prior to park opening. So for an 11:00 Epcot opening, the skyliner won’t run there until around 10:00am/10:15am. Whereas HS has been opening at 9am. I think OP was headed there for breakfast... I think.

This is correct. I think if you can prove you have a dining reservation that they will allow you to board the Skyliner to Epcot. I hadn’t thought of that option.
