I went to Guest Services at the International Gateway at EPCOT on Monday night and they had tickets for Tues and Fri nights available. I went last night.
As for my experience, I'm so glad I went, I had a great time. I have been to the
Disneyland MNSSHP a few years ago when it was still at DL. I'm on a solo trip and wanted to try to do a little of everything. I had a loose plan but I no expectations - I think I was super successful. Here was my night:
-Watched the fireworks from the hub
-Walked quickly to Jungle Cruise right after, they were checking bracelets already and it was walk on (had been 30+ all day and I didn't want to wait)
-Got off JC at 8:55, walked past the long lines waiting for treat trails to open at Tiki and Splash, walked through the one at PecosBills
-Grabbed snacks and waited for the Cadaver Dans to start. Saw Chip and Dale, then circled back through Tiki Room now that the line was gone.
-Walked over to Fantasyland, could have swung by Haunted Mansion but I rode earlier while they were putting the bench out for Madam Leota so decided to skip it.
- Rode IASW with no wait, another treat trail and some Pinocchio characters, rode Seven Dwarfs Mine Train with a 20 minute wait
-Made my way to Tomorrowland for a treat trail, People Mover, then Buzz, then the last treat trail at Monsters Inc.
-At that point I headed toward the hub for photopass photos, it was about 10:50
- Grabbed another round of snacks and the Maleficent Churro and settled it for the later round of cavalcades - which were delayed.
-Slowly wandered down main street and did some shopping and more photos then grabbed a bench spot for the last 2 cavalcades. The dragon WAS breathing fire, I heard in other reports it wasn't on earlier nights.
I felt like that was a solid meandering plan and I didn't miss anything. It really did not feel crowded at all. I think I did 4-5 treat trails and got about 1/3 bag of candy - much less than a few years ago, but as someone else said the last time was a ridiculous amount. The CMs were dropping 1 handful and that felt generous.
I'm going to Oogie Boogie Bash at DL in early October so I'll be able to compare to the two - obviously they are very different experiences.
