Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

What do you think our odds are for March 12-20 to become available? I'm trying to convince her but she is not swayed so far. We are driving in from out of state.

Keep looking. I've been eyeing rooms for 2 (as of now) hypothetical trips either later in Feb or in March and every time I look it changes. Any package reservations have to be canceled 30 days out, so I'd keep looking over the next 12 days.

Hi everyone! Been a while since I posted but I'm getting excited. Recently we stayed at Pop in October and over Thanksgiving week. Wife just gave me the green light for Spring Break (I know, late late late). We were looking for stays from March 12 to the 20th. Unsurprisingly there was nothing available but after several days of looking ASMU popped up with an AP discount which I quickly grabbed. I'm happy I secured that but wife is disappointed at the lack of the Skyliner. We really got used to its convenience and ease with our stroller. I am checking daily and at random hours to see if POP becomes available for our stay. What do you think our odds are for March 12-20 to become available? I'm trying to convince her but she is not swayed so far. We are driving in from out of state.

Thanks.
Keep looking, and also look for segments of your trip. We are visiting those exact same days and tried to book in early January. Even then I couldn't book the whole week, but after many days of watching I managed to get 2 separate pop reservations that covered all my days. One is preferred and one is standard, so we may have to move mid trip, but I'm still checking daily for cancellations.
I would definitely watch carefully over the next few weeks, the 30 day cancellation deadline is approaching so hopefully there will be some availability open up!

Thanks! This gives me hope...

I actually had a March 17th-20th at POP but but gave it up when I switched to ASMU :sad2:

So we are returning Nov27-Dec2 to Pop then moving over to Hard Rock at Universal through the 5th. Last time we were at Pop was Aug 2020 so about a month after reopening from the Corona Closure.
!o I have a few questions as I am an UBER planner like I know I go over board but... I love it! #sorrynotsorry

Has the food court gone back into full swing with more food options and are the grab and goes back to what they were?

I saw on a Pop facebook group that many guests have been able to request a microwave at check in, has anyone experienced this? Curious if they have a extremely limited amount of them? We are traveling with my son and his family that has a 10 yr old and baby that will be 6 month old at the time, so breakfasts in the room and heating up bottles..

I know there was something else I wanted to ask and cannot remember lol

Ive been flighty as heck last 3 days bc Im so excited to be going back! This was an unexpected trip, we werent suppose to go until 2023 but son invited us to go on my first grandchilds first visit (the baby) my other grand who I love like blood is my step ( I took him on his first trip in 2018) so IM absolutely thrilled to be having my first blood grandchild as well

I mean Disney during christmas season with my Grands??? Im super excited and grateful

Sorry I was rambling... lol

Everything Pop Food Court is back to Pre Covid setup with all Food Stations and Grab 'n Go accessible.

However the Menu is still not as varied as Pre Covid but does have a few additional selections from the Covid setup.

I personally have never heard of POP offering Microwaves on request-that is a new development for me.

Sorry yall IM apparently terrible at posting pics.. Maybe bc they are screen shots? That is just some of the things Ive seen on the Pop FB page (fans) about microwaves

Not having to go through Security Check at DHS as opposed to having to go through Security Check at MK would certainly be a huge plus.

The Timeframe could factor in for the length of the Bus wait at DHS,but there is no guarantee of a super short Bus wait at Pop Century either.

Bottom line-I love Skyliner so much that if I can use it for ANY route,I will use it!lol :)

Hm, sounds like it might be best to Uber. It would be evening/dinner time.

Also idk when buses back to the resorts start either.
If parks are open buses run both yo and from resorts. They’re available for dining reservations but also for guests staying there that may need to return to their resort from a park.
I think you have to go through security if you bus to MK, which is kind of annoying.
You may but honestly security is a breeze right now. I took this video earlier this week. My daughter is holding her glasses case in front of her as the metal hinge was setting off the detectors. Takes literally seconds to go through.

SAME!! Twice this week we’ve gone to DD via bus, returned to Pop to drop off packages then taken it to a park. We may take it tomorrow to DHS and then bus to the Contrmporary for breakfast.

My suggestion for you and others who shared they’re searching, call. On many occasions I’ve been more successful finding reservations when I call if I can’t find dates I’m looking for online. Not always, but more often than not.
welcome back! When you say cold are we talking bundled up all day or just need a light jacket?
The weekend was COLD!!! (32° when we left the room Sun AM) but it’s been beautiful since then!!

Any recent grocery delivery experiences? We haven’t tried this before. Wondering specifically about bell services accepting delivery at Pop and if there is a charge from them. I’ve read conflicting info.

Pop's food court is definitely more varied than a year ago. Not quite back to the old normal, but better than right after reopening!

Great tip about the microwaves, thank you.

Are the standard rooms spread out over all buildings? If so how likely is it to be able to get a request close to the skyliner?

We used Publix via Instacart and had a grocery delivery to POP on January 27. I ordered everything a few days before and selected the 3pm to 5pm window. We arrived at POP just before 3pm, and our order was already there. I picked it up at bell services and borrowed a cart from them to take it to the room. All went extremely smoothly! I highly recommend Instacart and Publix!

I am unsure if we were charged $6 for the grocery delivery, but we had to order a phone cord from Amazon which arrived on 1/29. I checked with the front desk, and they said it would be delivered to our room and the card on file would be charged $6. Well worth it, and again, all went smoothly!

This is my view right now. :)645024

I asked a Cast Member re: grocery fees. If you pick them up yourself (former airline checkin area) there is no fee. If groceries are delivered to your room there is a $6 fee.

Yes, standard rooms are scattered throughout Pop, in every building. You can request a room close to the Skyliner but it is not guaranteed. These rooms are the most popular and there are the fewest standard rooms in these buildings but it’s worth asking.

We’re on the Sunshine Flyer right now headed back to the airport. We were on the 4th floor of building 3, overlooking the water. Not as close to things as @jmparry was but still close. We were happy with our location.

I took this picture to show how a) a ‘lake view’ does not guarantee a view of the lake, even from the 4th floor and b) to share for those who have not stayed at Pop how there are exterior corridors

This picture was just a few rooms down so in Jan without leaves on the trees the view of the lake was much better.
