I'm also SJ, Philly native, so it's definitely a hoagie to go with my "wudder" ice. But, I'm willing to acknowledge that the phrase that has the most recognition outside of the region is sub.

When we first moved to GA, I called a local pizza place and tried to order chicken parm grinders. The prolonged silence I received after ordering still gives me a chuckle to this day.

I was born + raised in NJ and now live in Maryland. Whenever I mention taylor ham to people here, absolutely NO ONE has any idea of what I'm talking about LOL

It's just a sandwich folks - there are no rules about what it can be. Also this is theme park food - some of you claiming that this isn't a "real" Italian Sub may as well be saying that the France Pavillion doesn't have the real Eiffel Tower.

Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage Finally Resurfaces at Disneyland​

Join our underseas adventure as well take a ride on the newly refurbished Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage at Disneyland. This attraction hasn’t opened since the pandemic closure of 2020, so we were very excited to dive below the waves again after so long. What sea creatures and sunken treasures will await us at the bottom of the ocean? Let’s dive in and find out!

So, anyone from the North East who had high hopes: they're putting arugula, pesto, and mayo on an Italian Sub. Perhaps a good sandwich, but an Italian sub it not.

As someone that used to make these Italian sandwhiches many moons ago in a busy NYC metro area deli(s), gotta agree!! At least WDW has the meats right though! Most places in the DC area come nowhere close, LOL.

Where I originally come in NY where we are I think the only place in the U.S. that calls these sandwiches (any "long" sandwich) a"wedge".

Customer: "I'd like to order an Italian Combo"
Us: "Roll or a Wedge?"

My mom's family is from Northern NJ and she used to buy Taylor ham and cook it at home in NY when she could find it in a store (hard to find where we lived!)

Forgot all about that until last year when DS moved up to NJ and found out "Taylor ham" is a "thing" there! Ah, the memories!

I'm in NJ and they aren't even called subs. Hoagies. They are hoagies.

I'm interested to see how the bagel breakfast sandwiches turn out. It would've been nice to see a pork roll, egg and cheese on an everything bagel but we can't have it all.

I’m from Jersey and they are absolutely called subs where I’m from (central jersey/jersey shore born & raised) No one where I’m from called them hoagies. I know places close to Philly call them Hoagies.

But we call it pork roll where I’m from too.

Most of the things sold in that Boulangerie / Les Halles would never have a place in France. First time I heard about a cheese&ham croissant was when I moved to Germany 8 years ago (born & bread in Paris/France).

Man, David Warner now Paul Sorvino - what a day! Paul was also on early Law & Order - one of those guys who pretty much worked as either a cop or a gangster. RIP.

More Vehicle Testing and New Entry Arch at TRON Lightcycle Run in Magic Kingdom​

Progress on TRON Lightcycle / Run at Walt Disney World is full steam ahead. Tracks have been added to the tunnel for Walt Disney Railroad and testing has begun for the ride. In this update for the upcoming attraction, we see continued construction on the railroad tracks, walkways, and vehicle testing.

The top of the Walt Disney World Railroad tunnel can be seen over the green fence.

This new archway frames what is speculated to be either an entrance to the attraction or a locker room for guests to put their loose items. Construction activity has apparently moved inside the building.

Construction crews have built a wall to separate these areas and a make-shift ladder to cross between.

We can spot vehicle testing on the tracks from Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover.

Disneyland Paris Honors Everyday Super Heroes at Avengers Campus​

The opening of Avengers Campus at Disneyland Paris has given us an opportunity to thank some of our everyday Super Heroes – healthcare workers and community voluntEARS.
Ten days before its grand opening to the public, 1,200 community members were the first to experience Avengers Campus and become new recruits. Invitees included staff from the Grand Hôpital de l’Est Francilien, children from local Val d’Europe social care centers, and the non-profit association Restos du Cœur Île-de-France.
