So, if all the solid color bands and two of the anniversary ones are having problems, does this mean that all the bands are probably having the same issues? The core components are going to be the same.

What is the new parade? Are they not running Dream Up anymore? I LOVE the soundtrack to Dream Up!

And, I know that you know, anything Tokyo Disney touches will be absolutely first-class spectacular!
I think it's the same show but with revamped floats. I saw the video on WDWmagic and people were saying the floats look newer/nicer than before. There seem to be less performers which is a shame and again, not an unfamiliar issue compared to the US parks.

Oh guaranteed. I read that the new show has the highest budget of ANY night time show in the parks' history - 9.6 BILLION yen.

That would depend on the production timeline, it's entirely possible they ran all the solid colors and the (2) 50th bands to have them released early summer like originally planned and the other designed bands were produced later and intended to be released late summer but the delays caused them to push out all the bands so they don't compete with holiday and other designs coming down the pipeline.

Oriental Land Company - "What's a budget?" 🤣

Two 50th Anniversary MagicBand+ Designs Pulled From Shelves at Disney World

Two MagicBand+ designs have been identified by Disney as having issues, according to Cast Members BlogMickey.com spoke with yesterday. Both the “Partners” 50th Anniversary MagicBand+ and Cinderella Castle 50th Anniversary MagicBand+ devices were pulled from the shelves yesterday after Disney identified an issue with the devices’ ability to pair with your phone correctly. A fix is expected quickly, and the MagicBand+ designs could end up back on the shelves as early as today or in the coming days as Disney works to replace or fix defective bands.

Of course, those are the two I preordered for our September trip.

Could be earlier production runs or it's also possible they have an older firmware that prevents them from connecting. They may be pulling them to manually update the firmware and then putting them back out.

I thought about that too. I guess I'm concerned about how it might not have mattered when they were produced this time around, if they were not aware of the issues to begin with. Anyone know how they are handling the situation for those that already bought defective bands?

Imagineering: Two New Permits Filed for Moana Journey of Water as Construction Pace Increases

The first permit lists Adirondack Scenic as the contractor and the work to be completed is listed as “install sets”. Adirondack has previously been used by Imagineering for set installation at the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind roller coaster and in the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiesr hotel. These sets are likely going to be highly themed and fit the surrounding area well.

The next permit lists Elite AV Systsems as the contractor and the work to be completed as “show control and audio installation”. This permit is encouraging to see filed as it indicates that work will soon be progressing past moving dirt and creating rockwork. There are a multitude of things that can make a set immersive, and audio certainly plays a big part in that.

Do you need to pair the MB+ in order update the FW? I'm leaning towards this being an early FW issue. But if you can't pair the band, you may not be able to update the FW ... which could mean a lot of returns

Is there a possible timeline for this one to open pls?

Yes, you have to pair it first to your My Disney Experience app and then update the software via Bluetooth from your phone so you’re right, no pairing means no ability to update!

That’s $71 Million USD, for anyone else (like me) who had no idea what the conversion was.
