Legion is trippy weird, loved it though.
Weirdest gaggy one would be Twin Peaks.
Cool weird was Twilight Zone.
Now that I think back, I watched some really weird horror/sci-fi anthology series back in the 80's or older re-runs.
The Ray Bradbury Theater - it's just the usual odd Ray Bradbury stories - it had the best production values.
Tales from the Darkside - random horror and sci-fi, best tagline. Adaptions from all kinds of horror short stories, etc.
“But, there is, unseen by most, an underworld. A place that is just as real, but not as brightly lit… a DARKSIDE!”
Friday the 13th: The Series - haunted antiques - it was silly sometimes.
Freddy's Nightmares - A Nightmare on Elm Street series - whoa, it was explicit
Night Gallery - just a classic - ghosts and weird stuff.
Wow! I watched Monsters too. Always hilarious. Yeah, Amazing Stories was cool, but I think that one got cancelled pretty quickly.I remember all these shows! I never saw Freddy's Nightmares, I think that was on cable?
Big fan of anthologies, with the original Twilight Zone as my fave.
The 80's also had the great Amazing Stories, new Twilight Zone (it was ok), and a new Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
The 90's had a fun show called Monsters, and of course the new Outer Limits.
One of my favorite Ray Bradbury episodes is with Jeff Goldblum, who decides to stop off in a town nobody ever goes to. He's soon followed by a strange guy who's been waiting forever for a stranger to show up.
I won't go further, but I enjoyed it. Disney animator Ward Kimball has a cameo for some reason, probably pals with Bradbury.
Tales from the Darkside, I have many of those on DVD. Such a cool show. I watch the first episode every Halloween season (it's the one with that witch).
