Magic band + shipping

I don't understand why my orders from DME have not shipped when people that ordered from shopdisney few days ago already had their order shipped. like WTH?
The MDE orders get engraved with a name or initials. Not sure if they always have to be since this is the first time I've done this. They could have saved some time by allowing us to bypass that "feature". I'm imagining one engraving machine with pallets of pre pulled band orders with pick tickets taped to them stacked behind and some over worked cast members engraving these bands non stop for a month. They're probably inventoried separately from the shop disney orders which would give us the different availability between shop disney and MDE.
The shop disney orders just get picked and shipped like any other in stock product. Easy peasy.
Fulfillment coordination is what I do in-between Disney trips.
 
Part of the 8/17 shipping group - mine were in Davenport, FL yesterday and now they are in Pensacola so only an hour away. Will probably have them Saturday or Monday!!
 
Final update...ordered morning of 7/27 for a 9/3 check-in. One band, the WDW 50th Partners one. Finally showed as shipped on 8/20 with a charge to my card also appearing that day. Went from Davenport to Austell to Marietta, finally being delivered yesterday, 8/25. The band has now been charged, paired, and updated and is ready to go in plenty of time for my departure on 9/1. Oh, and I never got any emails throughout the process. No confirmation, no notification of shipping. Nothing.

Ordered same date as you. Just got a notification at 5:30am that my bands were shipped and they billed my card at 6:21 am! Shows tracking so should be on the way! These will be our second set. First was AP bands ordered same day and received about 2? weeks ago!
 
Our bands (“shipped” 8/17) have left Austell to begin the arduous trek north, presumably to York, PA. They won’t make it to us before we leave tomorrow, but that doesn’t make their journey any less compelling!

UGH! Just back. We had a TERRIBLE time with these bands! Simply, THEY DID NOT WORK as they were supposed to work, and we tried everything. Maybe they work with Apple, but they did not work with Android devices.

We wasted over 2+ hours in guest services trying to get them to work with the help of a GS CM. We were told with Android devices they have to be fully charged. In short, that didn't matter. After two hours only one band was fully linked. Later in teh trip, one or two would bands intermittently work and pair properly for a few hours (though not that day), then it would randomly stop working.

The traditional bands features mostly worked, but we took to wearing our old bands PLUS the new ones.

They would sometimes light up randomly. They would sometimes work to make the statues sing. But then after we collected a bunch of statues, all the ones we collected would disappear after a day or two. Some of the statues did not work. We got Pinocchio to sing, but we could not collect credit for him.

We tried everything, and since we were told bands had to be fully charged- of course we lost time trying to pair them early in the MORNING while ALSO trying to get G+, get ready, eat breakfast, and get to the parks.

On top of THAT the bands kept popping off our wrists- like no bands ever did before. To charge them you have to take them off frequently, but even right from day 1, they just would not stay clipped. Prior bands sometimes popped off, but not nearly as often as these do. So we were constantly worried we were going to lose them for good.

On top of THAT, prior bands we put on at start of visit and took of on last day. These you have to remember to babysit. The nightstands were a mess of cables every night with our phones, M+ bands, and now powerbanks to recharge. On prior trips, I maybe used a power bank once or twice. On this trip, we needed them every day.

So we talked to CM's a second time, and the second visit was worse than the first. The CM kept giving us canned responses like, "Did you try turning it off and back on?" UGH! This, after we told him we'd already spent 2 hours trying everything with a CM at GS. We weren't willing to lose another 2 hours, but neither did WDW offer to replace them or anything even though they appear to be completely defective.

I would not buy these again. Buyer beware!

Bands arrived today!!!

Received shipping notice 8/17 - sat there for a while but once picked up it moved fast.

8/24 Davenport, FL
8/25 Austell & Atlanta GA and Pensacola, FL
8/26 My house

I live 6 hours from Disney in the panhandle of Florida.
 
I had a weird issue with my bands. Ordered the first day, but received an email for my trip that they wouldn't arrive in time, so Disney wrote and said that we would now get them for free as well as a $50 gift card towards new bands.

Once we got there, I went ahead and spent the $50 on new bands (new bands cost >$100 total).

Then I was thinking about it (on the third day of our trip) and wondering how the ones I ordered would be sent since they don't usually send them internationally.

I asked at the front desk and turns out the magicband+ were there. Well that was great. However, a few days after arriving home a charge is now showing (currently pending) for them on my credit card.

Has this happened to anyone else? It explicitly says in the email that they would be complimentary now, and I wouldn't have purchased new bands if I knew I was getting the ones I ordered (and would have to pay for them).
