I will be there Aug 31 - Sep 5 and every time I check the weather the temps rise!! It looks like it’s going to be between 98 and 103 each day. Is this normal for this time of year? I live in the mid Atlantic region and we have low 90s with high humidity right now and it’s absolutely unbearable to be outside. I know Anaheim has a dry heat, but how unbearable will the parks be if every day the temps are hovering around 100 degrees? Seriously considering canceling.

It's part of the "indian summer" season we get so the bay area is experiencing the same as well.

My mantra is always go for rope drop , plan a sit down meal around 1pm , take a break until 4-5pm and come back later in the evening.
I live 6 hours away but I'm a magic key holder so go fairly often.
If this is a rare trip out I would make a list of priority things and work on that first It's hot but not Florida heat or humidity for example.

Every time we have come during Halloweentime (3 times from NZ) it has been 100 degrees or more.
It's too hot for this Kiwi!

It is always hot this time of year. Although I would say this seems hotter than usual. But you know what they say… don’t think of it as the hottest so far, think of it as the coolest day from now on!

When architects design buildings in CA, they use September for the hottest data and February for the coldest. We had a 105 or 106 day on a September trip once. Not fun. Bring cooling towels, but Mission hats that can be wet down (i wear one every trip), bring extra change of clothes so you can go back to the hotel during the peak of the heat and shower/change. We had to to laundry in the sink, not fun on a trip. Take it slow and hydrate!

It was 110 degrees on opening day for Disneyland in July of 1955. Yeah, it gets hot here in OC during the summer. I actually think it’s been fairly mild this year. August & Sept can be the hottest months. And then the warm Santa Ana winds blow in Oct.

For the most part it cools down pretty nicely in the evening. The number one thing I see visitors struggle with is hydration. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Start focusing on it now. I think with afternoon pool breaks and then staying later in the evening you’ll have a great time! Have fun!!!

The humidity isn't bad, so that helps. Orlando is more bearable to me though, because there is so much inside, like restaurant seating and queues. Disneyland has way too much that's out in the sun when it's really hot. Looking forward to wearing a hot, long sleeve costume mid-afternoon at the Oogie Boogie Bash in 2 weeks :sad2: Although, I'm in Texas, so I'm used to it.

I remember a Disneyland Half weekend (always Labor Day weekend) a few (quite a few) years back when it was 75 degrees when we got up for the run at 4am. They ended up cutting the half short because of heat. But only after our crew had completed it.

We usually go on Labor Day weekend, and it always is one of the hottest weekends. I have a picture of my daughter where it looks like she went on a water ride, but it was just sweat.

Labor Day weekend 2019 it was 96 at Disneyland, which was HOT.

Even coastal OC is in for heat this week…. It’s going to be in the 80s on the beaches, which is very warm for beach front, and even in the coastal cities they’re predicting 90s. Inland OC is going to be miserably hot. We’re supposed to be in Studio City for Labor Day weekend and the high is 102. Thank goodness our hotel has a great pool. That’s where we’ll be.

It’s hotter than usual….. 90s in San Clemente is HOT. This is our first real heat wave of the season. At least on the coast. Awesome beach weather though!

When we went in June it was in the 90s and it was pretty miserable during the hottest part of the day. BUT... we still had a great time. We had a sun umbrella, drank lots of water, wore sun hats and neck fans. We ended up taking huge breaks in the afternoon to avoid the heat. Make sure you rope drop because the weather and crowds will be better then. Also take advantage of the cooler evenings.

Yep, it's heat wave time. It always comes around *just* as school is starting up.

Not gonna lie, it's going to be rough. It's also been quite humid lately, so be prepared.

Bring a UV umbrella, a hat, lots of cold water (insulated metal water bottles are best for this), and plan lots of breaks in A/C.

I'd recommend the hotel pool between 1 and 4pm.

I can’t believe the high in Anaheim on Sunday and Monday. Triple digits. We’ve never been at Disneyland in triple digits. 96, but not 100. September is my least favorite month because it’s finally hot but summer is over.

This is entirely normal, temperatures don't really abate consistently until after October.

But your only real guarantee for cool weather is December-February, IMO.
With our wacky weather I don’t know if I would say “guarantee” but much better chances for sure! My older son was born in January and the day I brought him home from the hospital it was mid 80s. SoCal weather is so weird 😆

Just ordered a Mission hat to try - my head gets so hot that I can't wear regular hats, so I'm hoping this will work. Thanks for mentioning it.

Another Texan here. That's a normal summer day around these parts. Luckily, the humidity in OC is normally so low. That helps a bit.
