First Pep Rally of the year and Brahmadoras are warmed up and ready to perform tonight! A little "warming up" at home too! AC got tired of running ALL SUMMER and went out yesterday; repair guys finally here. It's ONLY 81 in the house! (PS...I love living in a small town....AC guy didn't even charge us for his visit today! It's TOTAL replacement time...which we were planning on anyway when it got cooler...so he just fixed us up to get us through the long weekend and we need to get a new unit ordered!)

Are these the new uniforms? They be are cute but I like the old ones better.

No Ma'am...not the new "official/performance" uniforms....they won't be ready until the Spring Show in April. They all have to be custom made. These are the new "Pep Uniforms"...they'll use them for pep rally's and performance at local events. I like these...and the girls do too...like the red ones better than the officer white ones though!

Miserable night but the team won 55-0 so guess it wasn't THAT bad! 1 hour delay due to lightening in area; heavy storm around 6 so everything was SOAKED! But yes...we love our football and we stood outside...in the light rain...waiting for the gates to open! Since there was the long delay and everything was so wet they didn't get to go on the field before the game but it had stopped raining by halftime and they DID get to perform! Favorite picture of the night is the last one! The Officers had to "clean the field" after the performance....the strings from the hoops come off during their dance. As Sara said, "That's the first thing Katie's CLEANED UP in years"! (Making the 4 hour trip to see Allie tomorrow; she's still on the bench with her knee injury but it's been a rough week for her. She needs a "Mimi and Pappy fix"! )

I like the red ones better too. Looks like a wet miserable night. Fall is definitely in the air here. Nights are cool the sun is warm but the air is cool. It was 46 going to work yesterday morning. Last night was a little cold sleeping last night. We are up in Maine.

They really had some fun selections when they became available again! I'd ordered mine right after we booked and very limited availability for David so I waited with his...thought he may just end up using one of his old ones. When the new ones came out with the "plus" stuff I found 4 of them for him! I wish y'all were planning a trip too...especially a Christmas one! That should be the first trip you plan when you retire!

Red pep uniforms are really pretty....SO much color when they're all together! Officer uniforms have always been white; guess she'd rather be an officer than have a red uniform though! But I still like the red ones better!

REALLY hard watching her sit "with the wounded" but she was in a much better frame of mind today. Swelling is down a noticeable amount....even her teammates have commented on that...so that makes her feel better. Getting that MRI scheduled is huge for her. She just wants to know if there's anything "new" going on. I can understand that...it's the "wait and see" crap that drives her nuts. At least she doesn't have to go to the Tuesday away game; both boys & girls teams are going and space is limited. That means she won't miss class which is a huge deal at this point. She'll go with the team on the weekend trip to Louisiana but that's okay...they'll leave Saturday and game is Sunday. They won today; hard fought game and the "visitors" weren't expecting to loose! Their coach even got yellow carded toward the end of the game! BONUS...her high school soccer best friend showed up today with some of her teammates! Cami plays at a small college about an hour north of Brownwood and their game was last night so she came to check up on "Bubba"! Another "bonus" today....for the first time in the 2 years we've been making this trip it finally rained on us! Drove through a couple of pretty heavy showers and watched the first 10 minutes of the game from our car since there was still a light rain falling!

Enjoy your COOL weekend in Maine! We're having tropical showers but at least our highs are only in the upper 80's! Not NEAR "cool" like your getting already but much better than the rest of the summer!
