Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

First time CL stay next week at WL. Would welcome any advice or info from those of you who have have been there before.

Catering to me I guess. I loved the airport service, glad to see it back. 😇
I guess what I mean is, what did it offer than other limo type services don't offer? I believe those offer car seats but they may not, so that would be one if they don't.
Was there a reason to use it instead of say, Uber Black? or another private Limo service. We've used those several times and will again but I don't see paying double for polka dots, LOL
It's entirely possible there's something I'm missing though

We’ve used a towncar service for every trip - the cost for us round trip with tips is less than 1 way on the Minnie Van. I’m glad it’s back for those who like it, but I just can’t see it making sense for us.

(We use our savings for new Magicband +s. :p Haha!)

There is nothing tangible with the service that makes it 'worth it' given the price of other options. It's a splurge with minimal to no justification, plain and simple.

That said, having bounced around from rental cars, car services, Uber black, etc in our WDW travels.... I do value and appreciate….

- The "known entity" factor - I know exactly what kind of car I'll get, what kind of car seat I'll get, how it will be installed, etc. Mine are now out of car seat stage but that alone was important early on (yes other services offer them but quality of the car seat/installation varied, in my experience, and we just preferred having a little more control over the topic).

- I have a general level of comfort with the quality of the driver and their training. One bad situation does not justify $199, but I had an unfavorable driver situation using Tiffany Towncar one time years ago (very fast driving, weaving in/out of lanes). DS was young at the time and it just left a bad taste in my mouth. In fairness I've had numerous other driver service or Uber Black rides with my children with no issues at all (including a driver at Tiffany we had become repeat customers with for years until he moved on)

- Really picky comment here - I dislike car fragrances, and unfortunately once in a rare while in a Uber Black or car service you may get someone who enjoys, say... a more fragrant car. A 30 minute ride to or from WDW in a car with a heavily scented vehicle is like my worst nightmare. Yes, I concede that's an odd perspective here.

- I need to stay up on my Disney gossip.... 30 minutes of car time with a friendly/chatty CM can be fun. In seriousness, we've had many fantastic CMs who have made the trips very enjoyable. Many had been with the company for awhile in various roles and it's always so fascinating hearing stories and perspectives.

- Most car services will do this too, but I appreciate the whole meeting by the luggage area and quick access to the car a level down. It’s nicer that mine are older now and can handle their own bags for the most part, but early on I’d sometimes be solo with bags/kids and the helping hand of a friendly CM was welcome.

- I spend enough of my real life flying somewhere and hopping in an Uber... sometimes the whimsical nature of the service is fun/different/a nice change.

Guess I'm blabbering on a lot justifying wasting money, but hey... just one perspective. :-)

I am using Mears SUV round trip on Tuesday from airport to YC for almost the same price as one way Minnie Van to the airport. I will use Minnie Van service however from YC to MK and back because of the park hopper rules.

I am bat crazy lol.

Dh questioned why if our future son wants to be on the monorail for NYE I’m cheaping out at CSR.

Hellllloooo the wedding?(Sept 2023)

He wants to be on monorail . How much is the bungalow? Totally shaking my head to THAT!

Compromise; I got poly studio 12/30-1/1. Then found GV CL at poly 1/1-2. Then dd is paying for studio again 1/2-3.

It is not that hard to move at same resort if you have lounge for moving days😅

I will keep looking.

I hope Poly has reserved beach access NYE?🤞🏻

DS babysitting the golden doodle of dd. Dh working.

I get my girl and her guy! Must do? Oh ya GOTG!!!

The driver vetting process and knowledge of WDW roads/closures/changes was always enough for me to pay 2, 3, 4x the price for a Minnie Van than traditional ride share. I have had too many questionable experiences before the Minnie Van service rolled out to ever want to use them again. One driver was telling me how she lets kids sit on passengers laps and can shove 2x the amount of people in her sedan that way. I had to tell her how to get me to 'Ohana from DS. Another driver was adamant that he was outside of BC when he was really at the YC convention center. Another time someone made an illegal maneuver by the Speedway in the MK area since he was headed towards MK parking rather than the resort area. What a mess! CM's picking resort lobby music of where I am going or telling me to ask for Mac & Cheese at HDDR (pre-Mac & Cheese on the menu) is a huge relief and worth the cost! One time I had Boomer, the CM in the promo video, and we recognized him like a celebrity. Happy to see he's back driving!
