I think you’re in the right here. The deck plan on the DCL website shows 8012 being an 08C. 08Bs are on Deck 9.

Depends on how well things are selling and usually only a certain number of days before the cruise.

I went to the DCL blog to see if I could look historically, but last year there were over 30 rates offered throughout the summer, so not really a good comparison. I’m sure you saw the 10 night southern Caribbean is at the gty rate. We jumped on that one. We saved $3000 per cabin over the lowest full price rate. In all my years I’ve never booked in the summer because of the crazy high rates. Hopefully august will see some drops. I booked in early January for July which was 7 months out which rarely ever happens.

I did. But sadly my partners a teacher here in the UK. So we are massively limited to when e can travel what's annoying. Figures crossed some of the late July/August cruses move to gty soon !

I'm loving the size of the room and balcony but concerned because we booked deluxe and since it's handicap accessible it doesn't have a split bathroom like we wanted. But the room size and balcony may be worth keeping it.

I had this room. It does have a roll in shower, no tub. its a big room. the Veranda is really long, but narrow. It’s a good location.

We are also VGT on this sailing and no word yet. Also check in finalized. It’s getting sort of annoying. There are sailings after us that have assignments already. And our cruise is sold out for a couple of weeks now. So not sure what the hold up is?

Yes definitely scratching my head but at the same time VGT was around $1500 less than booking the cheapest standard balcony fare.

Yep, We do leave a week from today. Still no word on my end. It’s the first time we did a vgt. Took a chance because it was a huge savings (about $1400 when we booked). But the waiting is somewhat frustrating. I’m hoping it’s worth it in the end. This is our 9th cruise and have always been happy with our rooms but again we chose them before. It’s our first time on the fantasy so excited about that. Previously done dream and one on the wish.

Keep checking your app. I’ve gotten my assignment as late as 5pm once. I think 9 days is the longest I’ve waited. Check throughout the day as it can happen anytime. I’ve done Vgt and OGT and have always been satisfied with my assignment. But as the ships are filling now, the assignments are not as good as when the ships were empty from covid. good luck.

So nothing on the app as of today. But I called to see if maybe I was missing it or needed to update or something. She said I had a room assigned. Whether it just was assigned and hadn’t updated yet or there was an issue, we now have a room. So that’s exciting! We were assigned room 10526. It’s right under senses. So a nice quiet area right by elevators. A short walk up to the adult pool area. Verandah has an overhang but that may be welcomed shade on a hot day. Seems like we did well!
