I will price it and see. The goal is trying to save money. So, we were looking at standard rooms.Coronado is the deluxe of the moderates, even more so with the expansion. Would you consider staying in the Tower. That puts you close to everything and would feel more like a deluxe.
What about the Swan or Dolphin?I will price it and see. The goal is trying to save money. So, we were looking at standard rooms.
We are planning on driving to the parks. We are skipping HS. So, Skyliner would only be helpful 1 day. So, that iSkyliner is especially helpful if you have a toddler. Rolling the stroller straight on the Skyliner is a billion times easier than being smashed in the buses. That fact alone would make me pick a Skyliner resort.

Since we have a toddler, I want to be able to cancel in case of something. We aren't interested in DVC for this particular trip. Good idea, thoughMight be too late for Christmas, but have you looked into a DVC rental?
Since you are driving to the parks and not planning on deluxe (extra hours) would you consider Signia by Hilton Bonnet Creek. It gets Early Entry each morning. I will check it out. Thanks!Since you are driving to the parks and not planning on deluxe (extra hours) would you consider Signia by Hilton Bonnet Creek. It gets Early Entry each morning. Lovely deluxe hotel minutes from the parks.
They are booked for our dates.Since you are driving to the parks and not planning on deluxe (extra hours) would you consider Signia by Hilton Bonnet Creek. It gets Early Entry each morning. Lovely deluxe hotel minutes from the parks.
Current mod that we have booked is $258 a night. Swan is $586 a night. What about the Swan or Dolphin?
I agree. Every time I have priced out hotels the Tower has always been extremely affordable compared to what you're getting. It's like staying in a classier hotel chain room like a Ritz or something and it's right up front not spread far back like the casitas.Have you looked at Gran Destino?
This! Even if you drive to the parks, the Skyliner is convenient for travel to Riviera and Boardwalk for food.Skyliner is especially helpful if you have a toddler. You’re going to have to chose what you’re gonna sacrifice here. Sorry, but there simply isn’t what you seem to be after (a deluxe Disney hotel with low mod prices).I will price it and see. The goal is trying to save money. So, we were looking at standard rooms.
Keep checking as your trip gets closer. It might go up or it might drop. Swolphin rates are extremely flexible as they are dynamic (to how many rooms are booked).Current mod that we have booked is $258 a night. Swan is $586 a night.
Thought these deserved an answer as wellHey everyone! It's been about 3 years since we were at Disney due to COVID. We normally go twice a year and stay in deluxe resorts, but the costs in the last few years have just gotten crazy. For instance, it is $278 more for a standard room at the Poly now for the same week as we paid 3 years ago!
In an effort to save about $1800, we are looking at booking a moderate. The problem is... none excite me. We are going during the Christmas season.
*We stayed at the POFQ 3 years ago. Loved the small size, but the resort was boring. It was 3 years ago, though,
*We stayed at the Coronado 4 years ago. Loved the theming, but it was about a mile walk to the main building for drink refills.
*Caribbean scares me because it is SO big, and I am worried the Skyliner will make it obnoxiously busy (I know...all of Disney is busy...just saying in terms of crowds for a resort).
We have 1 toddler with us.
Thoughts? Opinions? (We have no desire to stay at a value.)
Thanks!
