Thank you, that might be worth adding. I could do without ribs or sausage, even the chicken because nothing special there. Brisket and Salmon might be a good combo. Depends on who is with me.
The salmon was excellent. My favourite out of the meats. Brisket was good too. Sausage was a pleasant surprise.

I got an ADR for next month. :teeth: I'm looking forward to more reviews and photos to come out. I am thrilled to see fried pickles on the menu.

I ate there yesterday. The theming is cool - daycares wish they looked like that!

It’s good to middling bbq fare, about standard for Orlando and probably what you’d expect for Disney BBQ.

Tomato salad - good as were the biscuits
The brisket is good, the ribs were decent.
The cowpoke corn on the cob was very good and was my favorite side
The apple tart pie desert was my favorite. Chocolate pie second. I thought both were better than the cheesecake.

I enjoyed the theming and the “show”. The cast members were in character and they were very amusing! No spoilers…ride the horse to your table!!!! And look for hidden mickeys!!
Thanks for review.
Resort TV1 was there on media day and talked about this - how fun!
Forgot to add, food was replenished… I asked for extra brisket and ribs, and had three deserts.

The margarita was refreshing!
This is great to know - thank you!
I was going to say if folks want pictures I’ll share a few, but it looks like there’s videos out there now.

I thought it was a great experience, and the theming was superb. The cast were in character (hopefully they’ll still be enthusiastic after months of it!).

I have one sorta spoiler I guess. Look away now if you don’t want to know

When you get checked in, they tell you to strike your best Andy’s coming freeze pose. Later on while you’re dining, you’ll hear “Andy’s coming” and the cast freeze and you strike your pose!
Resort TV1 talked about this too - one of the additional reasons I’m deciding to go. My DD19 and I are big kids and will have fun with all the little extras like this.
Just snagged a res for today at 1:50pm. Yee haw!!
How exciting for you!
We have an ADR in May. I think the kids will like the theming, so we'll give it a shot. When I booked the ADR, I figured we have enough time to read reviews and cancel if needed.
I read somewhere there’s a cancellation fee - like $10 a person, but I don’t know the details.
Was planning on going until I saw the inside of the place.. Great for children it seems. Adults, not so much
Totally depends on the adult - for someone like me….it’ll be awesome!

Thanks to everyone that posted about their experience at this new restaurant - very helpful for us that are going, want to go, or are on the fence about going.

If you like Toy Story then I think you’ll appreciate the experience. Go in expecting it to be as equally about the food as the show and I think you’ll really enjoy it.

I am trying not give spoilers but it sounds like you’ve watched the videos anyway.

Anyway, one of my favorite parts was the cast member who checked us in. We had a part of 4, but only ended up being my neighbor and I. As we walked up, he said “Howdy partner, how many toys in the box?”…”says here there’s supposed to be 4 toys, did you lose 2 toys a along the way”. His tone and timber were perfect! My wife bailed, I’ll have to take her back to hear the spiel.

I see you bolded “I ate there yesterday”. I’m not media, or an influencer (well I mean who isn’t 🤣🤣) - I was fortunate to have a preview dinner the night before it opened and wanted to add to the already awesome unbiased review.

As an aside, maybe I’ll start a thread on what to follow! Boomers do better than me, I got bored and came off Facebook 10 years ago, never had TikTok, or IG! And I don’t watch any blogs. This forum is my source of truth.

Back to the restaurant! Go for the show! Most dining reservations can be cancelled up to 2 hours before without penalty, otherwise it’s $10 or $20 pp cancellation fee (used to be $20. I think they dropped it).

I think we will try it. We’ve been to WDW so often that I like to try some different places each trip. The initial reviews seem good and kids will enjoy the theming. Do they bring our larger platters and portions for larger groups?

They do, our friends were immediately next to our table on an 8 top. Their platters had twice the entrees at each half of the table. Plus they bring more of what you ask for.

Could be? Someone called him Tim as he wrapped up the video but I don’t know what Tim Tracker looks like.

Fish option is salmon.

Just ate there yesterday on Opening Day. I posted a review on the Dis review board.
I just read your review - thank you for telling us about it.
I dislike seeing food being wasted too, but as you posted, it’s good WDW is using the food waste in another way. I wonder if they are making the portions really big now so the CMs aren’t stressed about asking tables if they want more - maybe once the restaurant is open longer, and the CMs get themselves acclimated to the restaurant, they’ll scale the portions back. I hope I get an ADR for 6/12 or 6/13 for me to see {{fingers crossed 🤞🏻}}

Can you ask them to leave off a meat? Like, skip the sausage? Do you pay extra to add the salmon? I’ll probably be there solo and I wouldn’t touch the sausage so I hate to see them even bring it.

Great questions - I would like to know this too ::yes::

Tim Tracker posted a video review and the food looked pretty good
I’ve never watched Tim Tracker - I only watch Resort TV1.
Is he on YouTube?

I don't see why you couldn't request no sausage. It would prevent food waste. The salmon is not an extra charge.
