:rolleyes1I voted "Other". I have no professional sports related outrage left this week. I expended my quota already on NBA player's shrieking off-spring. Where the heck was this kid's mother? Who let's their kid behave like that in public?

Continuing the off topic here, the daughter had to be escorted out of the Toronto game because of several online threats. She's 9. DeMar DeRozan's daughter faced online threats in Toronto

She's 9. Doing something many have done for decades at basketball games - screaming during free throws.

(or the cleaning crew if there is one)
To your point, planes do not get the through cleaning some expect between flights.

Sometimes there might only be 5 minutes allocated for a quick trash pickup between flights during a turn.

In the case of a trashed row the next customer might just have to sit there with the garbage that was left or the flight might experience a significant delay if a cleaning crew is called in.

International flights will have a longer period allocated. Walking to the door I have seen some rows in much worse shape than pictured in the tweet after an 8+ hour flight. It is not just kids that have little respect for those that follow.

Agree...I only fly 2-3 times a year for vacations where I'm heading out of the country. And while there seems to be a decent amount of time between flights....enough to run a vacuum or sweeper over the floor, they're missing a lot. It's not usual at all to see some small bits of garbage on the floor, or in the front seat pocket.

Totally makes more sense for international flights- longer flights, more food and drinks service , more trash, would have to restock for the next flight.

I looked on united website, under snacks, you can purchase for 8 bucks- Recline Snackbox containing Lesser Evil Himalayan Gold Popcorn, Dots homestyle pretzels, Oreo cookies, Wiley Wallaby classic red licorice. Don’t see popcorn as stand alone snack. But 4 bucks for a grab and go can of Pringles.

That reminds me of a ridiculous story in one of those trasy tabloids, maybe the World Weekly News, from the mid 1980s.

Supposedly a pregnant lady wrestler called time out, delivered a 10 pound baby, then returned to the ring to defeat her opponent. It happened in Bulgaria or Armenia or some place like that.
Was she wearing diapers?? ( those who have birthed know what I am talking about) I have to say though I was so full of energy and felt sooo good after giving birth to my DD. I could have walked home right after. No drugs.. My son wasnt so kind to me I was hurting a bit.. But I was shocked myself how good I felt after giving birth to her.

My second was the easiest ever, got an IV, pitocin, epidural, contractions started, born 4 hours later, 100% pain free, never felt a single contraction. I wish my others were the same.

I'm in the middle:
- Yes, your kids, you clean it up.
- No, don't make her pick up every kernel. This is even more complicated because in a plane in economy there is hardly place to move. Pick up what you can easily reach and keep the aisle clean. The rest can be done by vaccuuming. There will always be parts too tiny to pick up easily by hand.

Second, mom is just as capable of going into the airport and seeking out a pan and broom same as the FA now not getting paid since it's been a common occurrence for others in this thread to state that there is no broom and pan on the plane to pick it up.
Actually, it isn't that easy. They need you off the plane so the pilots can do what they need to do to close out the flight(sorry not a pilot). And not sure how often you've travelled recently but getting on the floor when you've finally gotten to the gate would be pretty difficult as people can't wait to get out of their seats and grab their carry-ons 🙄 to prepare for the race down the aisle....

Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen....

Should add... does the 8 bucks include the cleaning???

I have never felt so thin in my entire life (and I wasn’t) as after giving birth. I felt particularly fantastic after my first a bit less so after the other two.

I'm mostly with the airline, but think the airline should have helped (they'd have better equipment). I have a feeling this all happened because mom acted rude and entitled. If she'd apologized and asked for a broom (or whatever), the flight attendent would probably have said get what you can and a cleaning crew will finish it. No one expects little kids to be neat, but they do expect parents to at least try.

Missed my point. Plenty have stated that there are no brooms and pans to clean up. Many have stated that there isn't time in the flight turnaround to clean the plane. "We're talking about a "mess" that would have taken all of 30-seconds to clean up with a dustpan and brush...."

You are correct, mom can't leave the plane and find a broom and pan. Apparently neither can the FA because the FA has other tasks to do, assumingly unpaid at that since others have stated that the FA only gets paid once the doors close.

I have stated that mom should have prevented it in the first place by paying attention to her animals.

I would really love to see how many of you that have commented have cleaned the table or floor at a restaurant with their kids.
I would never leave messes made by my family for other people to clean up. That's horribly rude and entitled. If we made a mess, we cleaned it up.

I have differing opinions on leaving stuff behind. I’ll do fast food where I do try to clean up after myself, but I might find an available table where I see crumbs. But then I see employees with towels and disinfectant to clean tables. I’ve spilled my coffee and even had a time when fries got spilled all over the floor (long story, but it was someone with me who got angry and left) where the manager saw it, got employees to clean it up, and even got me a replacement.

At a certain it’s probably best for a business to cut its losses. If I had something like an exploding bag of chips (it happens) I probably wouldn’t clean up every last bit on a plane. But I would alert the crew to it.
