Other Ice Cream Options besides Dole Whip and Edy's/Dreyer's?

I am still sad about losing Ample Hills at the Boardwalk! 😭 Are there any other ice cream brands/shops (besides Dole Whip and Edy's/Dreyer's) that are located in the parks or resorts? I know there are some places at Disney Springs, but I'm curious about just the park and resorts.

Here are some:

Aloha Isle (MK)
Plaza (MK)
Storybook Treats (MK)
Beaches N Cream (BC)
L'Artisan des Glaces (EP - France)
Hollywood Scoops (DHS)
Gelateria Toscana (EP -Italy)
Haagen Daz (DS)
Auntie Gravity's (MK)
Anandapur Ice cream truck (AK)
Pineapple Lanai (Poly)
Sunshine Tree Terrace (MK)
Salt & Straw (DS)

Not sure what brands they offer.

I think your best bet would be the shop in France or soft serve (I know there is a truck in animal kingdom near Everest). I don’t care for Dreyer’s ice cream. In France we got the ice cream inside the warm bread, delicious!!

The best in park ice cream is in the France pavilion. Both Artisan des Glaces and the stand that sells the chocolate soft serve. Amazing stuff!

I also like the soft serve in the parks.

Not a fan of Salt & Straw, but Ghirardelli has amazing chocolate ice cream. Love getting a chocolate milkshake there.

FYI, Dole Whip is a nondairy product and not considered ice cream if that is what you are looking for. The dry mix is sold on Amazon if you are interested in making some at home.

One of the Hidden Gems is The Fountain inside the Dolphin, IMHO nearly as good as Beaches & Cream without the crowds. At Fuel they also have a DIY Frozen Yogurt stand.

The fountain is good, but when we ate there in January, they were still running a limited menu and service from Covid cut-backs. Hopefully it is back to its original menu of treats! It’s like a 50s dinner.

Definitely agree with DLgal, the best in park ice cream is in Artisan des Glaces in the France Pavilion.

I think a majority of hand scooped ice cream served in the parks is Edy's, other than L'Artisan des Glaces and Gelateria Toscana in Epcot. There is also a gelato cart at Riviera by the pool - it's the same gelato that is sold from a storefront in Disney Springs, Vivoli il Gelato. I'm going to assume that's the brand they probably use in Epcot also but I don't know that for a fact.

My wife and I love that ice cream shop in France. It's our favorite hands down.

I had a salted caramel ice cream at L’Artisan des Glaces and it was sooo good. Definitely not Dreyers.

On that note, the chocolate and vanilla soft serve aren't really ice cream, ether. They're soft serve mix and the only dairy ingredient is sodium caseinate.

Can anybody confirm that most places DO have Edy's? I don't need to know where at Disney you can get better ice cream. I need to know if any places have Edy's.

I don't even need to know which places have it, just that some places do.

(It's for a joke in a boring speech. If I mention Disney World, it might wake people up.)

I think this should help you... :-)

Look right above the restaurant name ("Hosted by Edy's®".)
