The Official VILLAS at DISNEYLAND HOTEL (Discovery Tower) Owners and Fans Info Thread

The lighting behind the TV story in case happens to you. Received no service on the issue but took me a day to solve. Second switch at entry door wasn’t working anything (so I thought). The lighting behind tv wouldn’t turn off, not finding another switch. These TV’s do pull forward, on an adjustable mount and can pivot for change to viewing angle. I found the light plug (white one behind tv) unplugging for sleeping. Today I noticed the red light under tv turned off when using that entry light switch. Sure enough they had switched the plugs for the tv and the mood lighting during install. Disappointed there was no testing afterwards. 😂

I guess I missed the point. The pic shows the pot missing which is a much bigger problem than a pod. lol
You quoted posts from two different people ... I'm not sure to which your comment is directed?

For me, having a coffee pot is entirely different experience than individual portions of coffee made with K-Cup style pods. Perhaps, to one, the difference is merely a letter (coffee is coffee) ... but to me, the serving quantity and ability to share is an important part of the experience. (We'll sit for an hour enjoying the coffee during our morning Bible Study. Having a whole pot is handy ... although not quite as handy as our thermos-style carafe at home.)

I s'pose we might have to bring a large thermos with us ... to fill cup by cup using the pods? Oh, bother! pooh:

That just shows how in a rush they were to meet the opening date.

Paul and Amy showed off a member's duo studio that had holes in the wall where they had to reposition the drywall anchors for the artwork. 😳

When they refurbished SSR, I stayed in one of the newly refurbished 2 bedroom units and there were all sorts of problems. I end up writing up a list and walking the maintenance guy through everything (at 10 p.m. at night none-the-less). Plus, fixing some of the things I could fix myself.

The curtains didn't have the end balls attached to the rods (they were on the floor in plastic wrap), the dishwasher rack wasn't put in correctly, the stove still had plastic on it, there was no stopper in the tub, leaking handheld shower wand, etc.

It's all part of being a good DVC member. 🤣

That sounds like my family and I. We are engineers and can’t stand broken things.

Are you on the second floor? What do you think of the first floor? Do you think it is too close to those seating areas? How was your sleep? Sorry for all the questions! I think I would love this room, but I'm not sure!
Yes, we second level. You would love any second floor garden location. They sit back with a garden space divider from pool. The ground floor units will have patio clear rail and the forward garden clear wall barrier from pool. No walking out from room to pool. Sleep great. Pool closes currently 9pm. Beautiful at night all lit up with steamboat splash pad running. Pretty good sound control sliding glass doors.IMG_1192.jpegIMG_1193.jpeg

Just went down for some looks from below. Our upper end unit (0249) does feel like hitting the lottery vip. Perfect room. Can see the spacing from room to pool area.IMG_1194.jpegIMG_1196.jpegIMG_1195.jpeg IMG_1197.jpeg
