October 17th, 2023 - 4 Night Halloween on the High Seas Cruise from New York (Canada)

HI! If I want to participate in Bingo do I need to have cash or do the games get charged to my onboard account?

All charges on board the ship will be charged to your onboard account. This includes your bingo purchases. They typically have two lines for registers to purchase your bingo cards. If you want an electronic handset be sure to show up early cause they do sell out.:thumbsup2

The only cash you would need onboard is for tipping the staff if you have room service delivered to your stateroom.:goodvibes

Here are examples of Bingo pricing from previous sailings. The pricing does change through out the sailing depending on the possible winnings. (Images show the old electronic handsets, they are now iPads.)

As we get closer to our sail date don’t be afraid to ask any questions you may have. Even if you have just been lurking and not posting previously. Your welcome to post here now. I would like to make sure everyone is as prepared as they can be to have a good time.:goodvibes

Just spent the day packing my FE bags and it's taking up my whole suitcase 😄
We also have a whole suitcase full of FE gifts. I am part of 2 family exchanges, 1 adult only exchanges, 1 candy exchange, 1 ornament exchange, 1 kids under 17 exchange and 1 magnet exchange. I also have pixie dust items and ducks to hide. Went a little crazy this year with the exchanges cause next year we are flying down for our sailing on the Fantasy from Port Canaveral and can’t take as much. :goodvibes

I some how packed the candy in to since I took this photo. Had to let the suitcase zipper out.

Same hopefully we will hear from them soon.:thumbsup2

Same! I'm in a few with the fb group too. My mom and I did our best but I'm always worried I'll be a letdown for others.

Hi, I had a question about photos. I know there isn't a formal night on our sailing, but someone in the FB group mentioned that they will have an optional "dress up" night. My question is if they do have something like that will they have backdrops for photos out that would be more "formal" looking? I'm just thinking ahead for Christmas cards and also what to pack.
Thank you!

Hi Loonyluna, I think we are in some of the same groups together so you'll be getting gift bombed by me on the first day lol. I also have the fear of my stuff not being as good as others, but I'm sure that's just all in our heads :)

Even though I am not in the fish Extender I still have small gifts for the ladies here since I was late in saying I couldn't do the FE . If I don't come back on after Bethonius list their cabin number will someone from here be putting a list on their cabin door with the FE cabin numbers??

That is so thoughtful of you. I'll be sure to stop by with something for you too!

Even though we do not have an official formal night you will find a photo opportunity in the main lobby every single night that has a plain white back drop that is great for formal or dressier photos.

Don’t worry to much about your FE gifts. There was no price point to adhere by either here or the other website. You’re not going to please everyone and everyone has different budgets they work with. Some will give over the top items while others will give things like homemade items their kids made. As long as you had fun putting them together and handing them out that is all that matters. FE originally started years ago just as fun cheap little treats and trinkets handed out. Now people feel they need to spend way to much to impress each other.

I have you listed as unable to participate not as late to confirm. I can change you as participating now on the first page if you like. I have you down for me to deliver gifts to anyways. :thumbsup2

I ask that if anyone has a change in stateroom number to post it online here, even day of if you do a room upgrade and I’ll update the first page. Just make sure you check back here before we sail to far away from shore that you loose internet signal, that is if you don’t plan to purchase it while on the ship.

Thank you for the backdrop info, can't wait to get my money's worth of the unlimited photo package!

Make sure you check the app for times but typically they start taking photos in the evening at 5:15pm until 6:00pm and then again from 7:15pm until 8:00pm so you can stop and get photos in the atrium before or after dinner or the evening show depending on when you have each. Line up earlier then posted times cause lines get really long for photos, even longer then the character photo lines.

They change over the years but I can remember these:
Embarkation night - Basic cruise backgrounds/some Disney themed
Halloween night - Halloween backgrounds / photo with Halloween tree
pirate night - Pirate backgrounds
last night - Probably your best bet for dressier photo backgrounds

All nights will have the plain white background as an option.
I believe every night offers the staircase photos also.

This is a massive help. Thank you so much for all of this information and just being around in general to answer all of our crazy questions. As a first timer this is making my life so much easier, being able to be prepared for everything. Especially the wait times for things, with a 22 month old that is extremely helpful so I know to have things to occupy her during the lines.

We sail with Disney Cruise Line every year and love it. Been on all the ships except the Wish. My sons first Disney Cruise was also on the Dream when he was 22 months old. Even booked him some time in the Nursery on the ship. He is 13yrs old now and going to the Edge kids club. Next year he’ll be in Vibe. How the time flies. :goodvibes

Let me know if you can think of any more questions you can think of. Make sure to ask your stateroom host for the diaper genie for your stateroom.:thumbsup2

Yay! Gift bombing should be fun. I'm also trying to teach my aunt how to do it so I'm responsible for her group as well 😄 shoot me a pm if you're in the fb group too and wanna catch up
