Let’s Go Get that Dino! TR 9/1-9/10, a mom and daughter trip! PTR short version, 1/27/24*

I still haven't tried a Gideons cookie but maybe this trip! I have nut allergies as well but not peanut. I can't eat any nuts except for almonds. Don't worry, I always have my Epi pen with me.
Oh we have to correct this mistake :rotfl: I always have an extra epi pen!
Oh no!!!!! That is SO stressful!
It was awful and I really beat myself up for it!
Love Basin!
Same! We always stop in and wash our hands and check out all the merch
Now I want to go to Jock Lindsays! Maybe after our lunch at Boathouse. :)
We could! Since our flights are later that day! I thought I might go to MK one more time but it is up in the air. I think DS will be fun! We can go right at opening for Gideon’s cookies. I would love to take some back home
You are still way out performing me!
We will have to have competition when we ride!
Oh my gosh, they were so little! I knew they were both preeemies but I think I forgot just how early they were. Did they have any lung issues at birth? My Jack was a preemie as well but only 5 weeks early and weighed 6#12oz. He had pneumothorax which was very scary and spent about 8 days in NICU.
Jack was in the NICU for almost 8 weeks. My due date would have been May 15th and he was born on March 2nd! He was only intubated for 24 hours but did need CPAP and many other medical issues initially but nothing real major thank goodness! Andi was actually 6 weeks early, I don’t know why I said 8, yikes! She was in the NICU for 2 weeks and really didn’t have any major complications!
They totally are miracles!!
Yes. ❤️❤️
Blech!!! That is really disgusting.
Please keep your gross feet to yourself on the Skyliner! Gross 🤢

I do get a little carried away in here and often get to much.

It's easy to do. But like you said, they travel well, and it's nice to have a little taste of Disney once you're back home.

We decided on one of the coffee cake cookies, (yum)

Evie doesn't eat many sweets, but the coffee cake cookie is her favorite. It is delicious.

I lost around $140.00.

Oh nooooo!!!!
I'm so sorry to hear that. My gosh I can't imagine how upsetting that must have been. We all work hard for our Disney funds; nobody wants to lost it!!

We enjoyed our visit at the hanger bar.

Everything you ordered sounded great.

I was an ICU nurse back then and let me tell you, my anxiety was through the roof, because I always feared the worst.

How stressful. I'm glad those days are behind you now. There's nothing worse than seeing your kids hurt. Evie's pre-asthmatic and usually ends up with croup every winter. I absolutely hate hearing her wheeze and try to catch her breath. So my heart goes out to you for having to endure that two times over and on a much, much higher scale.

I did lose my phone on the ride. Thank goodness it didn’t leave the ride vehicle and it was fine.
It flew out of my pocket on my skirt.

Oh gosh, I was about to say, if you had lost it, this would have been a terrible day for you. First, your cash, then your phone!
I've had a phone fly out of a pocket on a teacup-style ride before. It can happen so fast, and it's not like women's pockets are designed to be deep so phones aren't very secure to begin with.

Our Skyliner ride back was with another couple. The lady proceeded to take her shoes and socks off and rub her feet.

Whaaa?! Oh my gosh, what in the world? People are crazy, and some of the craziest seems to visit Walt Disney World!

Like a true pirate, you're being incognito. Smart!
Exactly! :rotfl:
It's easy to do. But like you said, they travel well, and it's nice to have a little taste of Disney once you're back home.
I’m going to do this in December on my last day and bring some home to enjoy!
Evie doesn't eat many sweets, but the coffee cake cookie is her favorite. It is delicious.
This is my favorite cookie there
I'm so sorry to hear that. My gosh I can't imagine how upsetting that must have been. We all work hard for our Disney funds; nobody wants to lost it!!
Ugh it was not a good feeling. My heart sank!
Everything you ordered sounded great.
It was really good and a beautiful day outside

It was stressful! The wheezing and coughing was happening a lot at our house!

I was really glad I noticed before we got very far!
Whaaa?! Oh my gosh, what in the world? People are crazy, and some of the craziest seems to visit Walt Disney World!
I know, really keep your gross feet to yourself 🤢

“Where Dinosaurs ruled the earth” by Bill Nye the science guy!

Wednesday 9/6, our last full day at Disney!

This morning would be dedicated to Dinosaur 🦖

The plan was DAK in the morning, Epcot in the evening, and MK extra hours! Long day!

We did not get Genie+ today and only one fancy ride for GotG. This ride was scheduled for 5pm and Via Napoli ADR for around 6pm.

We took the bus to AK and arrived around 9am. Our plan was to ride Dinosaur first.

The ride was a walk on so we rode 3x! I was thrilled and loved each ride. Here we are celebrating all things Dinosaur!

We spent a little time in the gift shop before heading out of Dino Land. Made our way to Everest and the single rider line was not open yet but the SB line was 10 minutes. I encouraged Andi to go for it. She went in the SB line, which she never does, and it was a short wait. I’m glad she went for it and had one more ride on Everest.

We decided to walk the Maharaja trail. The Komodo dragon scares the life out of me. It was out in all its glory on the rock.

These dragons can run like 12 miles per hour and are a fierce predator. He would outrun me and eat me! Lol 😝

The CM at this area was so nice and loved to give us information about the animals. He proceeded to scare me more about the dragon 🐉😂

After that terrifying experience, we enjoyed walking the trail and seeing the animals. The tigers were hiding today, not able to see them.

It was time to eat, can you guess where we went?

If you guessed Satuli Canteen you are correct ✅

We can’t get enough of this place. Andi loved the wood fire grilled chicken bowl the other day and wanted this again. I was wanting the kid’s hotdog meal with the vegetable chips and a Diet Coke.

Here are a few pictures in Pandora on our way to eat.

We did a mobile order and went to sit in the restaurant and enjoy our meal. This place is a top pick of ours and it continues to be so.

We had a wonderful meal and saved some room for dessert and drinks. I joined the walk up list at Nomad’s Lounge and within 15 minutes I got a table ready notification.

We headed over and had a table out on the patio. It was a beautiful day. I decided to skip alcohol and have a flavored ice tea. Andi had the Lamu Libation, Starr African Rum, Cruzan Banana Rum, and Guava Purée with Orange, Lime, and Pineapple Juices topped with Gosling's 151 Rum. She enjoyed this.
IMG_2023-11-07-195802.jpg
I ordered the delicious churros for our dessert! We love these little beauties! Perfection! The best churro I have had. The churros are served with vanilla crema and strawberry/guava sauce.
IMG_2023-11-07-195852.jpg
We had a nice time chilling out on the deck watching several flotillas go by. This is a perfect place to sit back and enjoy how beautiful AK park is.

After our time at Nomad’s lounge, we looked in a few gift shops and got a few pictures in front of the tree of life.

We decided to head out and relax at the resort!

Epcot and MK in the next post!

“I arrived just in time to correct a little misstatement!”

Here is a montage to Andi enjoying drinks around WS :rotfl:

Aulani Sunrise

Moonshine drink in America

Lavender Sake

Parisian Cosmo Slush

All of these drinks were winners! Very good. The moonshine and sake are always available. The sunrise and cosmo are F&W drinks.

We rode GotG before all the drinking, 😝

I didn’t feel queasy at all and enjoyed the ride more this time.:thumbsup2

Picture doesn’t suggest this. :rotfl2:

We had One way or Another by Blondie for our song 🎵

Our dinner at Via Napoli was next.

It was busy and loud in the restaurant, and our service was just fair, but the food and drinks were great 👍

We shared the garlic focaccia and a personal size Margarita pizza with onions and mushrooms added.
IMG_2023-11-07-201111.jpg
I had the white sangria to drink. I can’t remember what Andi had and didn’t write it down. I know she had some type of alcohol drink since mom was buying.
IMG_2023-11-07-201022.jpg
I love the white sangria here, it is light and crisp. There is fresh fruit in it.

The food was delicious. Our pizza was perfect in every way!

The plan was to get dessert from one of the F&G booths. I needed one more cheese dish to complete the cheese crawl.

I got the passion fruit cheesecake and this was when Andi got the Aulani sunrise. She didn’t have any of the cheesecake. She isn’t a fan of cheesecake and it has macadamia nuts on it. I still asked for no nuts even though I knew she wouldn’t be eating it.

This was good. I mainly wanted it to get my prize.

The prize was strawberry cheesecake soft serve topped with a mini cheesecake and graham cracker crumbs in a keepsake cup.
IMG_2023-11-07-200915.jpg
Andi tried this but not a fan because again, she doesn’t like cheesecake.

The cup is cute and now Andi has a set. (She has mine from last year).

We got a few more pictures and decided to head out.

MK had extra evening hours for deluxe resort guests.

We worked our way to the front of the park and rode SE, of course, before taking the monorail to MK.

HEA was happening when we arrived. Perfect timing! We stayed back by the train station for the fireworks.

We had to swim upstream once it was over. We took our time and went in and out of the Emporium. We decided to start in Adventure Land. We rode Magic Carpets, Pirates, and Big Thunder, which was technically in the extended hours now.

Very short wait, yay! We continued on and found out HM was down, boo 😒

I convinced Andi to wait in the Peter Pan line. It was a short wait, maybe 15 minutes, yay! Both of us were slowing down and we decided to ride Little Mermaid and head out.

A bus was at the stop, can’t beat this!

Back to the room with our last full day in the books.

Stay tuned for a walk on the dark side coming up soon!

“Hello there, I’m Seeker!”

I could follow you two ladies around easily!!! You find the best drinks and always look so happy....even on the GotG ride lol.....the PotC pic is a hoot!!

More lovely food too!!

Looking forward to the next section too though ::yes::

I LOVE Via Napoli. I hope to eat there in April when I'm down (I can't start really planning yet because I don't know what all the wedding plans are). Right now - Via Napoli for lunch or dinner, Steakhouse 71 for my birthday dinner, and some character breakfast are must dos. And I really, really want to drink around the world with Andi. You all find the best drinks!!

The CM at this area was so nice and loved to give us information about the animals. He proceeded to scare me more about the dragon 🐉😂

We chatted with the CM by the kimodo dragons when we were there in September. They actually do not have a male at this time. So that was probably the bigger of the 2 females (the smaller one pretty much lives at Conservation Station in a small indoor type space (but you can see it from outside). We actually saw a squirrel get into the kimodo dragon's enclosure in September and the kimodo totally reacted and was on high alert to get it. The squirrel had an uh-oh - how do I get out of this mess look on its face?!?!? The squirrel was able to get high enough and jump to a high wall and escape, but you know it now knows to never go near that area again.

She didn’t have any of the cheesecake. She isn’t a fan of cheesecake and it has macadamia nuts on it. I still asked for no nuts even though I knew she wouldn’t be eating it.

My family says I am the only one who does not care for cheesecake. So I kind of love seeing that Andi is also not a fan.

They actually do not have a male at this time.
They had a male komodo dragon when we were there in October. It was his first day on display. He is huge! He came from another zoo but the CM wouldn't tell me the name of the zoo.

The tigers were hiding today, not able to see them.
We didn't see the tigers in October. The CM said that they were off display because they were having a "date." :)
I love the white sangria here, it is light and crisp. There is fresh fruit in it.
I've been choosing white sangria, too. :)
I got the passion fruit cheesecake
I love that cheesecake. :)
I convinced Andi to wait in the Peter Pan line. It was a short wait, maybe 15 minutes, yay!
That is a really short line for Peter Pan. We usually only do that ride if we can get in line during early entry.

You are right. Now that I am thinking back, I think they did say that they had a new male, but he was still in his backstage enclosure still in quarantine and learning his cues and stuff. He was not available for display in September when we were there. I tend to ask a lot of questions about the animals.

“Where Dinosaurs ruled the earth” by Bill Nye the science guy!
Nice little throwback, there.
The plan was DAK in the morning, Epcot in the evening, and MK extra hours! Long day!
I'll say!
That's getting your money's worth! Just don't tell Disney.

"I think we can safely assume some people will park hop to another park and we should charge accordingly."
"What if they do 3 parks?"
"I don't believe that's possible."
Our plan was to ride Dinosaur first.
What? I'm shocked! Shocked!
The ride was a walk on so we rode 3x!
What? I'm shocked! Shocked!
Here we are celebrating all things Dinosaur!
That third shot... front row...
The Komodo dragon scares the life out of me. It was out in all its glory on the rock.
It's gonna getcha...
These dragons can run like 12 miles per hour and are a fierce predator. He would outrun me and eat me! Lol 😝
I know probably more about Komodo dragons then I have a right to. How they predate is far scarier.
The CM at this area was so nice and loved to give us information about the animals. He proceeded to scare me more about the dragon 🐉😂
:lmao:
The tigers were hiding today, not able to see them.
Oh, sure. You're scared of a 12mph lizard, but a 500lb, 40mph death machine with teeth and claws... No problem!
It was time to eat, can you guess where we went?

If you guessed Satuli Canteen you are correct ✅
I did!
I decided to skip alcohol and have a flavored ice tea.
How was that? Sweet enough?
I ordered the delicious churros for our dessert! We love these little beauties! Perfection! The best churro I have had. The churros are served with vanilla crema and strawberry/guava sauce.
I really need to try those there.

Haven't seen that magic shot before. Nice!
Here is a montage to Andi enjoying drinks around WS :rotfl:
Getting progressively more and more happy as she goes...
We rode GotG before all the drinking, 😝

I didn’t feel queasy at all and enjoyed the ride more this time.:thumbsup2
Would've been interesting to try it after the drinking
I didn’t feel queasy at all and enjoyed the ride more this time.:thumbsup2

Picture doesn’t suggest this. :rotfl2:
a personal size Margarita pizza with onions and mushrooms added.
Oh! I never thought about personalizing it like that. What a good idea!
The prize was strawberry cheesecake soft serve topped with a mini cheesecake and graham cracker crumbs in a keepsake cup.
Wait... the prize after eating a lot of cheese was... more cheese?
You won't poop for a week!
Another cute magic shot. :)
We had to swim upstream once it was over.
How bad was that??
We continued on and found out HM was down, boo 😒
What???
I would demand a full refund of the entire trip... plus compensation!
A bus was at the stop, can’t beat this!
:thumbsup2

I like this meal too.

I still need to make it here someday and give this a try. They sound so good.

Great photo of you two. Your outfit is really cute.

Moonshine drink in America

Danielle loves to get this. She shared some and it was really good.

I had the white sangria to drink. I can’t remember what Andi had and didn’t write it down. I know she had some type of alcohol drink since mom was buying.

It's amazing how much our kids like their drinks when we're paying. Danielle and Michelle both like wine.

The prize was strawberry cheesecake soft serve topped with a mini cheesecake and graham cracker crumbs in a keepsake cup.

I really enjoyed this! I love cheesecake.

Stay tuned for a walk on the dark side coming up soon!

Looking forward to it.

Oh we have to correct this mistake :rotfl: I always have an extra epi pen
I don’t go anywhere without at least one. I would like to try one…they look so rich and sweet!
The ride was a walk on so we rode 3x! I was thrilled and loved each ride. Here we are celebrating all things Dinosaur
Perfect morning for you two!
We decided to walk the Maharaja trail. The Komodo dragon scares the life out of me. It was out in all its glory on the rock.
I love this trail but I’m with you on the Komodo dragon!
We had a wonderful meal and saved some room for dessert and drinks. I joined the walk up list at Nomad’s Lounge and within 15 minutes I got a table ready notification.
Perfect! It’s my favourite spot as you know.

Nothing better!

We’re all those on Mom’s tab or Andi’s?

Can’t wait to ride GOTG in December!

No you can’t! :) Hope we have good bus luck at CSR.

Looking forward to the next section too though ::yes::
Thank you Carole! It is fun trying new drinks with Andi, she is always up to drinking around the world. :rotfl:
I’m excited to talk about our HHN time and the fun we had!

I LOVE Via Napoli. I hope to eat there in April when I'm down (I can't start really planning yet because I don't know what all the wedding plans are). Yes Andi does pick some good drinks, she researches before each trip!

Oh my goodness that poor squirrel 🐿️ The look of the Komodo dragon just gives me anxiety. The one we saw was camouflaged by the grass so my picture isn’t the best of her! She was scary 😦
My family says I am the only one who does not care for cheesecake. So I kind of love seeing that Andi is also not a fan.
Haha! That is funny!
They had a male komodo dragon when we were there in October. It was his first day on display. He is huge! He came from another zoo but the CM wouldn't tell me the name of the zoo.
Oh no 🙊 I will have to see him from a far :rotfl:

The last two times we walked the trail the tigers were hiding!
I've been choosing white sangria, too. :)
I love the one at Via Napoli and Jaleo!
I love that cheesecake.
I really enjoyed it!
That is a really short line for Peter Pan. We usually only do that ride if we can get in line during early entry.
I was shocked with the low wait and even more shocked Andi waited in it, lol 😝
