That's a really long time to be waiting if all that's left is funding. Funding on these usually takes about a day, two at the most.

That's what I was wondering. I was told they had to wait for Disney to come back from the 2-week break before closing, even though it had passed rofr and received estoppel in one fell swoop. Then after they were back, it was any day now. Now, 6 days later, funding hasn't been sent. I don't get it.

We agreed back in August that the earliest closing we could have would be 12/10/23, then got delayed a week by the MS focusing on dues.

Definitely follow up again. My timeline is almost identical to yours (submitted 11/17, funds sends and contract signed 12/6) and was told will take a few weeks but I’m just waiting for my points to be loaded at this time. Contract popped up in my account 12/26. I didn’t finance though.

PSA - I emailed for an update on when to expect closing documents and was told firstam has been down since 12/21 with no access to anything, but that they are back up as of today and playing catch-up.

Interesting. FirstAm has been radio silent on an AUL contract I'm waiting for closing docs on, when they are usually very responsive to emails. I was beginning to get irritated that I hadn't even got a "we're working on it" email from them. Looks like even their entire email system was taken offline.

Once your contract is closed and deed recorded, does DVC automatically add it? We’re using First American but had our deed recorded just before the cyber attack. It’s been over a week now and still not popping up on DVC (existing customer). Wondering if there is something First American needs to do to notify them that has been delayed.

A variety of delays, some planned and some not made this an extremely long process. Be wary of that end of the year pause in DVC activity; we had hoped to have points in account by now to book for June, but instead, are still waiting for the contract to show and have missed the home resort booking window. Fingers crossed it shows up on the account soon.
