HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all of you DISmoms out there :goodvibes. I hope you all have a wonderful day today.

We are down to 12 days and counting, I can't believe how fast the time is going by. Today is also my oldest DDs Birthday...she turns 13 today :scared1:, I can't believe I am a mom to a teenager.

Thank you and same to you and to all Moms out there! We leave in 7 days 19 hours and 30 minutes but whose counting? This is the third and final trip for Mom and child trip celebrating the child turning 13. My husband does one with them when they turn 16.

Hello all,
We leave on Tuesday and I just have a couple if questions. What does everyone do with their magic bands? Do you wear them on the plane on the way there? Also for anyone who fly's do you use the airline online check in? I have no idea how it works. Thanks in advanced!

I keep mine in bag with my ipad and camera until I get to magic express, then I put it on, I do online check in with SW, log into the website 24 hrs before flight time and print my boarding pass.

We leave on Friday, which we are all so excited about...but I'm starting to freak out about not having enough time to prepare!! I'm feeling totally overwhelmed, this is our first trip with the baby and I think it's psyching me out to be traveling with an infant! I have the most important things ready - plane tickets, car rental, PAP vouchers, Disney cards, FP+ is booked....but I still feel completely unprepared. I need to just remember that it will all be worth it when we are feeling the magic!

We will put them on while we are on the plane on the way down to Orlando. We will use the airline check-in when we leave WDW - we aren't checking bags on this trip, but on other trips, they'll take the suitcases and we won't see them again until we are home! Love that feature!

We are leaving on Thursday morning and I am feeling overwhelmed also. We had a crazy busy weekend and I feel like I got nothing accomplished packing-wise! And here I am - off to work this morning! :surfweb:Hopefully I can really get some packing done tonight because maybe I"ll sleep better! I was up at 3am today! Now that I think about it - I should've been packing then! Would've been a better use of my time! But it will be all worth it once you set foot at WDW - such a magical place that all of this prep-stress will be gone! :thumbsup2

We leave tomorrow and I'm super excited. We were suppose to leave Wednesday morning but we decided to drive tomorrow night and stay off site. That way we have the full day Wednesday at the parks!! I'm super excited. Can't wait to see SWW!!!

I think that's part of it, I got nothing accomplished over the weekend, but I have the advantage of being home all week (one shift to work tomorrow night 3-11) but I still feel like I can't get anything done! I dropped DS at preschool this morning and had Planned on hitting several stores to get everything we need, and the baby freaked in the first store so I had to take him home to eat! Now if I want to get anything done I either have to drag both kids or wait until Wed night and hope DH is able to be home at night (Army life!). I think I will try to pack this afternoon during nap time and start making a list. Maybe if I get organized I will feel better! At this point I'm ready to just grab the camera bag and diaper bag and buy everything else when we get there!

On Magical Express heading to MCO to go home:(

What a fantastic trip we had this year! We loved the Magic Bands and FP+. It was great not having photopass cards, key to the world cards, paper FP's etc.

We also still had some Magical moments that were totally random and unexpected;) Like the BBB having an Elsa dress in my daughters size when I asked which I felt foolish doing bc I figured of course they wouldn't have any.

We had zero FP+ issues, we waited 5 mins at most even at crowded times on headliners the only time we waited longer for anything was we waited about 15-20 mins for A&E and Cindy & Rapunzle which I expected due to the interaction.

On days where our FP+'S were early we had no problem getting more once we used them, one day we used 6.

When our window for Splash Mt opened up the ride was down so we were given the option of going back and using it anytime that day or going to one of like 6 different rides and using it anytime there without visiting a kiosk.

I also had FP+'s for FOF, MSEP, and Wishes which I thought was absolutely worth it for the parades, we were right in the front row in front of the castle. We did not use Wishes bc we were allowed to stay in the spot we were in for MSEP and it would have been difficult to get from there to the rose garden with the crowd.

We actually did MSEP/Wishes last night for our final night it made such a sad day better!

Hope everyone with up coming trips has a magical time! Pixie dust!

Thank you so much for the update. You helped answer some things we were wondering about like the wait times for A&E when using FP+. Did you happen to see any glow with the show ears available to purchase?

Well, we’re down to 13 days. I got the surprise note written for children. I don’t have a printer right now so I had planned to print the letter and all the invitations I had made while we are at the library for my daughter’s session with her Reading Specialist. They meet each Tuesday. She emailed me yesterday that she can’t meet on the 20th; so, tomorrow will be my last chance to print these. Our next trip to the library will be the day before we leave when we stop to print our boarding passes on the way home from shopping. I’ve been telling my daughter I wasn’t sure when we’d be going back due to the rising prices. In reality I have been planning and paying for the trip for the last 8 months. :bitelip:

The reveal will be pretty simple because my daughter has watched so many of those youtube surprise videos if I planned anything elaborate for the reveal she’d get it too quickly. I’m not sure how surprised she will be even though I have been saying I didn’t know when we’d be going back; but, she's let me know she prefers that I surprise her for trips...any trip really. But the kicker will come in the 2nd part of the letter.

For the first part, I will get them up the day before (a Saturday) and let them know we have errands, which will bring dd nearly to tears. But I will tell them I have something for them before we leave and give dd the first envelope.

On the first paper I pasted in some pictures of them from last year’s trip and at the top, it reads: Let the Magic Begin: AGAIN!

Under the pictures it says

Yay! School is over and Disney World 2014 is a GO!
Let’s go shopping. Our plane leaves…

Before they lose their minds, I will search and find the 2nd envelope.

On that paper, is a big group picture of the “Fab 6”. Underneath in big read letters is the word TOMORROW!!!

:woohoo:

Haha! I understand that point well! Nothing like having a wrench thrown into your plans when running errands.

I got some serious packing done yesterday after work - although I couldn't sleep last night - too excited! I woke up at 2:15am! This is going to be one long day at work!!! Is it Thursday yet???

Good job! Now I have to really focus tomorrow and get it done so I can just double check everything a million times Thursday and until we leave Friday! Have a safe trip!

Its getting so close. I have a hair apt tomorrow to get a color and trim and my son has one on saturday. He has been asking for awhile now to have his hair colored. So its finally going to happen.

Who was looking for the Glow with the Show Ears??

They had plenty of them last night when we went to the 9:00 showing of Fantasmic!

Having a GREAT time!! Rained a little last night when we were leaving HS. Supposed to rain this afternoon.

Nervous about tomorrow!!! It's MK day and a 100% chance of rain! We're meeting A&E and hoping to watch the Electric Light Parade and Wishes! Need "no rain vibes" sent our way!

Off to Downtown Disney and then Epcot today!

Have a great day today! Can't wait to be "home" tomorrow! :goodvibes

Once you’re on the trip, the hourly forecast is your friend. It’s generally been really helpful for me when traveling. So far it shows the hours MSEP and Wishes are on as cloudy with just an 18% chance of rain tomorrow night. Earlier around 7 there’s showers 63% chance and also between 3 and 5 a 51% chance. Of course it will be a little closer to accurate tomorrow.

It's not always spot on, but it helps. Once we were on Spring Break in Virginia beach. I had my children and their sitter. The day we planned to tour the zoo, I used the hourly. We drove to the zoo in pouring rain, saw pretty much the whole zoo with no rain and were walking out when it started again. Boy was my daughter impressed. :lmao:

We all got up and started to do the single digit dance :dancer:...9 more days and I still have a ton of things to do .
